We Remember Our Heroes

Princess Marian Redrain stays in Stormwall for a while after the burning of the city. The people there aren't terribly happy as they alternately look for places to camp or take advantage of offers of refugee temporary housing in the various cities of the Compact. And yet she stays, working with the people to take stock of what is needed and begin rebuilding. She reminds them as they work together of how proud she is of the brave people of Crovane. How the spirit of the North prevails. How their bravery will be remembered always, and how those dead will be remembered as those who stood between a terrible threat and the rest of the Northlands.
Lady Khanne Halfshav stays too, reminding people that their sacrifices were not for naught. We can rebuild, she says. We can make it better. Princess Gwenna Redrain joins her, reminding them all of the power of heroes. We will remember, she whispers. We will always remember.
And now throughout the land bards and minstrels, storytellers and playwrights tell the stories. The big stories, the little stories. The stories of heroes great and small. Hired by Princess Donella Redrain, the stories of Stormwall start filtering through the land. And in Stormwall the people too hear. We are remembered, they say. We will not be forgotten.
For now, the streets of Stormwall are quiet. The people aren't thrilled about being temporarily homeless, but they've been assured that this is truly a temporary situation. And so for now they will wait to see what their leaders do. Let the rebuilding begin.
