A Festival for the Ages

There are Festivals and then there are *legendary* Festivals. This year's Festival of Death sets out on the road and is a crushing success. From the streets of Sanctum to Lenosia, Setarco to Maelstrom (though the civil war raging through the Mourning Isles is problematic, it still incredibly successful and well attended), up to Farhaven to Bastion and finally back to Arx. Run and managed by Archlector Hamish and his second, Evaristo organized the whole affair, with Marquessa Teagan Blackram leading the way through the Oathlands, Princess Berenice Velenosa taking point in the Lyceum, a commoner vassal by the name of Nina Autumndale eases passage through the Saffron Chain. Princess Sorrel Thrax has a difficult time navigating the Mourning Isles, but she manages spectacularly. As the Festival turns north, Princess Helena Redrain takes the lead before handing it to the incomparable Princess Sebella Grayson for the final lap to Bastion. They had plenty of additional help from Lord Rorik Kennex and his bardic talents, paired with those of Lady Braith Mazetti. Harlequins Lady Lethe Tyde, Raymesin and Cufre are there to ensure even the smallest details are locked in. And then there is the Queen, Symonesse makes quite an impression on her citizens, being hailed as 'The Queen's Queen'.
The Festival is touted to be THE event of the year and will likely be talked about for several years more. And not just because in the wake of the Festival there are waves of (mostly) commoner deaths following the path of the celebration as celebrants take to extreme risk-taking and something people have taken to calling 'Follies'.
