Oakhide in Metal Armors

Posted by Tenebry on 07/02/20
Emele puts together a team to expand upon the use of the oakhide material. The target? Figuring out how to combine oakhide with alaricite and diamondplate. And, huzzah, she is successful. The more expensive (but less Cardian) Cardian snakeskin replacement now also replaces it in these difficult-to-forge metal armors. Any armorer who wishes to create alaricite or diamondplate armor with the Arvani-sourced alternative need only learn the alternative recipe. Assisting Emele is Apollo, expert in all things oakhide, Dame Alexis, expert armorer, Lord Vitalis Clement, grand explorer and researcher, and Svana, eager apprentice tanner.

While relatively few people are able to afford such high-end armors, the celebration of this bit of innovation is widespread. Options are wonderful, especially when they're home-grown.
