Mistward and House Fortier

Recently, talks have filtered in from the western reaches of the Oathlands, of a new barony under House Laurent. Rumors are that at the behest of the Duke, his aunt and uncle, Shae and Kedehern Laurent ventured off to find land to settle and start a new House of their own underneath the Beekeepers, and were in fact successful, after some sort of... Whale hunt?
The details are a bit unclear, and all anyone can really agree upon is that it involved besting some pirates, a storm, and some rather impressive feats of athletic prowess and outdoorsmanship, at the end of which yet another Abandoned tribe bent the knee. Further more, word then starts to come in that members of Clan Red Snake, and Clan Thistlerick, that bent the knee to Laurent earlier in the year, seem to be filing over to the settlement of these new prodigals, at a place called Mistward to boost the fledgling House Fortier's strength and numbers.
Further rumors seem to mention that the coming spring has brought several storms to Mistward, and the flora there has become spectacularly verdant. It is some of the most lush growth of any domain for this spring, and oddly the storms hit the very night Shae and Kedehern were officially named Baroness and Baron. Strange that.
