A Legendary Keaton Festival

The Keatons are holding a festival! A festival? A festival! In fact, a travelling festival! In every village and every town. To spread largesse and gain renown. In the streets the children gather, in the fields, the people cheer. A festival, a festival, is on its way here.
And it is, indeed, a substantial festival, a truly substantial undertaking. Marquessa Reigna plots the route. The Keatons make a stop in every community, hold a feast in each and give the equivalent of 300 silver to each family; in food and trade goods, in cloth and skins. Further, each member of the community makes their mark on a massive plaque. And, at the end of the journey, this plaque is placed into a new shrine to Petrichor, and a final grand feast is held in celebration.
Enroute, Marquis Kael set aside grain stores in communities where nothing sufficient exists. He sets the Hounds of Oakhaven to securing the roads and preparing the community militias against banditry (largesse is, after all, a temptation). He rallies the people in the spirit of plenty. Lady Veronica assists Kael at every point, shoring up community defenses and improving patrols.
Lady Amari has archery ranges built and provides the villagers with a stock of bows and arrows, strengthening them in their own defense. She organizes archery competitions to encourage that practice, that focus.
Baron Rane takes this opportunity to show his wife, Katherine, around Oakhaven (and to lead the Timberwolves in festival parade). Baroness Katherine enjoys getting to know the various peoples of Oakhaven and assists in planning the feasts. Decorations! Arrangement of chairs and trestle tables!
And meanwhile, Duke Cristoph spreads the word of this festival to crown all festivals, exciting Oathlands interest well in advance. Expectations are handily exceeded. A festival, a religious journey, and buttressed communities, all in one.
