The Great Work of Caina

Word reaches Arx about an immense undertaking by House Inverno, a recently completed, monumental work of art being called the Great Work of Caina. Devotees of Tehom, particularly his mirrormasks in Caina, praise the design, which consists of thirteen stone arches encircling a pool of water, each supporting a mirror angled to reflect the pool's surface, and (to the mild consternation and whispered scandal of a number of more orthodox worshippers) precisely placed to capture and reflect the light of the Blood Moon during the Eclipse of Mirrors. Lord Sebastian Pravus is said to be the artistic mastermind behind this project, with Archlector Vayne providing his theological knowledge and insight to ensure the design was just right, and with Lady Beatrice Malespero overseeing the actual organization of the entire thing. It is even claimed that Countess Tyche Inverno was personally involved in not only seeing the Great Work to its completion, but winning the approval of her people in putting so much effort toward such an endeavor.
