Carnifex's Own

A wagon bearing the sigils of the Faith returns to Arx, accompanied by Princess Reese, Lady Amari, Princess Marian, Lady Tesha, Lady Rosalind, Lady Teagan, Tatienne and Evaristo. Going straight to the Cathedral, two bodies covered in Templar banners are brought out for rites and mourners. One of the bodies, laid in repose in ancient armour, is said to be that of a lost Templar, Sir Godrin Valardin. The other is Sir Halrick Godsworn, a Templar dispatched with the group and who clearly fell facing whatever they did. Perhaps it has something to do with the meeting of an unknown Templar with Mother Cassandra, Blessed Sina, Princess Alarissa, Duke Kaldur, Sydney and others a few weeks before?
Word soon gets out that an old group of traitors and insidious Abandoned dating back to the times of Marach has been defeated, and talks opened with a new abandoned tribe in lands near to Telmar about rejoining the compact. It will take some time to work out if their extreme Oathlands ideas can be re-integrated into the Compact and its Faith, but the return of a lost Godsworn scion of Valardin raises solemn cheers in the Templar halls and those of the Oathlands.
