Think of the Children

As the efforts of Princess-Consort Alarissa Thrax start freeing thrall children across the Isles, Princess Coraline now steps in to make sure that those children have places to live and meaningful work to do. Freeing thralls might be in fashion these days, but what do you do with them once they're free? It's a balance, to be sure, and an answer is needed to prevent economic instability.
Princess Coraline thus reaches out with Princess Alarissa and the Order of East Light and starts to find places. People to adopt, to train, to teach. Places to live. This is a long-term effort, so much so that people remember Prince Barric and Shaman Cybele working on the project with them too. In the end it's a success - who doesn't want to make sure children have a home, after all? Thrax may be a hard people on the whole but they're not heartless.
And slowly there are a growing number of schools and apprenticeships for children as they approach adulthood to start learning a trade. And predictions of the economic instability to freeing child thralls never quite come to pass.
