Think of the Children

Under Harper Ashdown, the Iron Guard and the Knights of Solace are conducting a totally innocuous survey of the orphanages in the city. She assembles a diverse group - Sir Merek, Sir Daemon, Sir Austen, Lord Michael, Dame Coraline, Lady Tessa, Lady Kenna, and Sir Calaudrin all travel down to the Lowers and move from orphanage to orphanage. They're cheerful, and they're pleasant - and their experiences range from friendly to motherly to knightly, in that some of them are busy playing and bringing cheer, and others are busy playing and messing around with swords, and others are just there to help move things along. Word even has it that Archduke-Consort Talen is involved, though the children don't remember meeting him and perhaps he's only around to increase the visibility of the efforts. It's lovely to have a group of Iron Guard and Knights of Solace helping the children and looking after them, and those who staff the orphanages are definitely grateful.
