Description: Small, slight, and with a nigh-perpetual harried look on her face, this young woman is clearly not built for labor. Her blue eyes would do just a little better job of standing out on her face if it weren't for the dark circles beneath them, and her hair hasn't seen a brush in some time. In spite of that, though, there's a definite sharpness in her gaze.

Personality: Theophania is driven and knows how to turn on the charm in a business setting, but past that, she's a little on the helpless side. Having been thrust into the realm of merchantry by the comparatively-early deaths of her parents, she's doing her best to keep her head above water but doesn't quite know where that metaphorical water line actually is. Easy to fluster when not discussing trade, she keeps her dreams simple: 'do just a little better than her parents.'

Background: Theophania is a second-generation merchant; her parents -- both from Chevalle -- traded in horses, to the surprise of essentially no one. Unfortunately, handling animals is the type of occupation that's rife with chances to be exposed to disease, and by Theophania's 20th year, they had both passed, leaving her with modest resources but few of their business connections. Rather than try to stick it out in the land where she grew up, Theophania made her way to Arx, where she turned what she had into trade goods, and began the process of building herself up as a trader.

Name Summary
Anisha Little Merchant Demarais, or so I will always think of her. It was Messere Verity's choice of introduction, and in a busy tea shop, clarification can take quite a while. I like her, and I have certainly found myself similarly overwhelmed. She handled it well, and I am still impressed by the size of that sack.
Bianca She has remarkable drive, though hopefully she is not crushed beneath it. ... Literally. I do not know how she carried all that on her own.
Katryn Though our meeting may be happenstance, the vibrancy of your heart shines through your circumstance. Kindness and comfort around animals is the hallmark of a gentle and measured soul, and thus our meeting must be providence! I am eager to watch your growth.
Reese A lovely merchant who is already having great success and drawing attention. It will be exciting to watch her rise.
Richard An auspicious sort, a merchant showing when House Blanchard needs such perhaps most of all. I would have preferred her service for my family, but it would be a foul thing to try and poach a Chevalle citizen's service at the Count's own hall.
Verity She is like a baby duck. A baby duck who needs a better sleep schedule and a hairbrush, to be exact. Have no fear, my duckling! I will teach the city life to you!
Vicente Happened upon the woman while passing through the market place. Nice enough but did seem frazzled by her work. You know people run her till she dies because that's what people do with hagglers.
