Action by Fatima

Fatima does not like the Isles Canines being out of command of her family, and has even heard that some of them may have turned to piracy without a proper direction to go in. She's taking steps to bring them back into the fold and the first step of that is finding where they have gone. She's using her contacts among the sailors of Arvum (especially those of Thrax) and her connections as Minister of Loyalty to track down the Isles Canines and start charting their movements. She wants to know where they are, who is in charge, and what kind of activity they have been up to since Prince Dominic's death. She will then use this information (in a follow up action after the resolution of this one) to take over the Canines either as an ongoing patron or as their commanding office, to help set up her evnetual conquering of Petrioch (much, much later).

As part of this, Fatima will spend up to 10,000 silver (please pull from Fatima's personal bank account) as bribes and for paying those with relevant information. She will minimize the personal cost by meeting personally with as many captains and informants as she may and be persuasive/seductive to get the information needed (hopefully in a subtle manner that won't get back to the Canines).

Result

While many at first are reluctant to talk for fear of crossing some powerful mercenaries, Fatima is able to work her magic and get a few sellsword and shady types to let slip some valuable information. Captain Seth Gryazny, who used to be Prince Dominic's captain of the Dromond, didn't fully go pirate. At least not apparently. He sold all teh dogs under their control and immediately sailed the dromond (now called 'The Sea Hound') for Lycene waters, and a few other longships have joined his new company now called the Dogs of the Isles, as a derivation on the old name. They are selling their services as sellsails and doing 'privateer' work for Lycene lords, but also have spent some time at Port Defiance, a port of call either inside or very close to the Darkwater Deeps that is a haven for Abandoned pirates and such. Captain Seth Gryazny has made port calls in Arx, and drums up business with peers of the realm through contacts in the Lower Boroughs. Possession of the dromond would be legally murky and largely depending upon who said what, but at least Fatima does find out that the dromond has made port calls in Arx, and likely will again, even if it's not presently in the harbor.
