Physicians Wrap Up

The cure, Fairchild's Mercy, is finally ready to be tested, and there are a LOT of patients waiting for news. The disfigured woman found in the warehouse has been unconscious since being taken back to the Clinic, but should be waking soon, along with the captives that were found held in cages within the warehouse.

This is an opportunity to gather any additional information, RP out the cure testing and generally just have some closure!

Reigna enters the clinic, looking in a word, exhausted. The Marquessa is not fighting to escape her usual man-cage of house guards and is instead just moving along with them. They part once inside the Clinic and Reigna keeps going forward, moving to her desc to set down her bag. Without really looking up, even at the sound of voices, she moves instead over to the workstation that has been set up near the quarantine ward, which is full to bursting with the new patients. Reigna moves to look for the flask containing the cure, that has been resting and steeping until the time comes to test it. Which is pretty much now.

Anya, the cool as an ice cube Champion apprentice, Renn, the mousy, scholarly brunette, Morgan, a roguish looking gentleman arrive, following Caspian.

Heading over to where the salves are, Cora gets something appropriate for Auda and heads back before gently applying it, she is muttering about stubborn surgeons who can't explative sit explative still and explative rest! But she doesn't say this terribly loudly, however she shoots looks at Meriah every now and then to make it clearn that /yes/ she /does/ mean Meriah herself is the subject of her muttering. "Sit down would you, there is nothing happening that desperately needs you right this second. And have you eaten and had enough to drink, if you don't answer I will assume no and /get/ you things to eat and drink and I will irritate the crap out of you till you do. You should know by now that I can." Bashira gets a grin, "Just don't pull em too hard." Amantha gets a once, twice, thrice over and a nod, "You are looking much better." Reigna gets a look of relief, maybe Meriah wil listen to HER.

Stojan, the assistant, 3 Thrax Guards arrive, following Denica.

The Clinic is stuffed with new patients, those bitten in the animal attack, the fourteen 'survivors' found, emaciated and dying, showing signs of illness, though too weak to be aggressive, Behemo, who's attitude has drastically improved, Rob, who seems somewhat better, but is still in and out of fevers. Rogue is still being held in the Jail, as she has not lost her edge of hostility and has been given treatments under lock and key. The last patient, the woman Coraline saved from bleeding out, has been kept in isolation, even within the quarantine ward. Upon returning to the clinic, there was surgery done to remove the arrow and dagger from her body, a recheck of the cauterization that happened in field. She has yet to regain consciousness, though the nurses have reported that they think she is awake, just non responsive.

Meriah shakes his head. Refusing to sit! She does approach her feline and grab him by the scruff, hoisting Triage into the air to look at his blue-eyes. "He's alright," she tells Bashira. "Not a good mouser though." She makes a 'tsk tsk' and then drops him. He slinks beneath the bed and she drops the wooden eye for him to toy with while she turns to the other women. Her gloved hand put out. "Meriah Gascoigne. Surgeon Extraordinaire." Yes, she is ignoring Cora. Defiant and strong willed as ever. "If she tries to strap me down, call the Guards." When Reigna enters, the physician offers a nod. A respectful nod!

"Thank you, Highness." The Harrow replies to Coraline, with a vaguely wry twist to her lips for a moment. Following Reigna's arrival, however, the redhead takes herself off out of the way.. while somehow managing to remain close enough to unabashedly observe the Guildmaster at work. "Hope it tastes better.." The mutter is mostly for her own benefit. Honest. Those vivid green eyes wander over those new occupants of cots, beyond those she already knew to be here. In the end, somewhat inevitably, they settle upon the woman captured the previous evening.

And there is one more patient, Caspian, who seems to have progressed enough that he decided to come down here of his own volition. He's not trying to kill anyone yet, but the walk here was enough to make him lose his breath and sweat, face flush from the effort. He leans against the wall, sighing, panting out, "That walk was further then I remember..."

Reigna checked composure at difficulty 15, rolling 5 lower.

Cora snorts, "They wouldn't dare do a damn thing, they /know/ how stubborn you are, hell they would probably help me. Well if you have this much energy you aren't likely to keel over just yet, you pass out again though and I /will/ strap you down." Her attention then going to Reigna, Cora frowns, "Methinks after this our guildmistress needs a break." Her eyes going to Amantha she grins but just nods. Seeing Caspian she moves to help him sit then heads to follow Reigna, to help if nothing else.

Auda is a perfect patient, especially compared to Meriah. She holds her arm out for Cora, tilting and turning it as needed. It's just an abrasion, really, like she'd had something heavy and rough scrape down her arm and tear at the skin. Worthy of medical attention, but also not life-threatening by any means. "If you need someone to go out and get food, I could.." She isn't shy, but she's entirely unsure if thatt would be welcome or not. "I'm Auda." Meriah introduced herself, after all.

"I won't." Bashira tells Coraline with a smile as she gives a look to her bracelet and something on it makes her look thoughtful for a moment, but she stops fidgeting with it. There's a look to Meriah, "Cat's are just as stubborn as humans." she muses. Then she heads over to her and takes her hand, "Nice to meet you, Meriah. I'm Bashira Ru-Taul." she offers. Then she steps back to allow others to introduce themselves. There's a respectful nod to Reigna, "Marquessa." she greets her warmly. Then she looks over in enough time to see Caspian come in and the Sailor heads over to her brother wordlessly and takes him by the arm, her face growing concerned instantly.

Denica eyes all around, her lips twisted in a mixture of concern, worry, and... well likely just a lot of variations of the same emotion really. She is standing beside Coraline, looking rather concerned to the rest of them gathered around. "Just let me know if there's anything I can do to help," Denica says with a little fidget.

Reigna looks up once she has the cure bottle in hand, her expression lacking that nigh tangible warmth she typically has. Not that she looks cold, or even mean. She looks... tired. And likely a little stressed and sad. When she sees how many people are gathered, there is a visible attempt to push all that to the side, to assume a mask of her usual cheer, but it is painfully obvious that she is still unhappy. Still. The effort is made. A deep breath is taken and Reigna is zeroing in on Meriah first. "Why are you out of bed? Are you feeling better?" Reigna reaches for a small cup, pouring some of the mixture into it and moving towards Meriah. "Drink. We will wait fifteen minutes and if there are no ill effects, we will treat the next patient." She looks around the room and sees Caspian and the state he's in. She gestures to an orderly, "Help him into a bed please. Get a cool cloth and some feverfew. I will treat him next."

Meriah lets out a low whistle. "Well, that is a pretty name you got." She tells Bashira before Reigna arrives like a holy terror and the surgeon feels the sliver of a chill down her spine. She takes the mixture and wrinkles her nose. "I'm antsy damnit." She complains. "You ever try to explain to someone how to stitch up a laceration from across the room? I need to be on my feet. Look, I'm stark still. No running around or anything. I swear--Oh, alright." There is a grumble but no resistance, pinching her nose and knocking it back.

A warm smile goes to Auda, "Good to meet you, Coraline Thrax." Though her attention is more on Reigna then anywhere else, a frown now on her lips. She nods to Denica and Bashira. Her eyes going to Meriah, and yes she does roll her eyes at the other woman before they go back to Reigna. "Guildmistress, why don't you take it easy, give instructions and we can take over the rest."

Caspian wraps his arm around Bashira, then the orderly, and using the two for support, moves towards a bed. "I'm fine," he insist, even if he doesn't refuse the help. Now on the bed, he just flops on it, letting out a sigh, taking the cool rag and draps it over his head. "Oh fuck that's better then sex," he says with a long sigh.

"Hi Caspian!" Brightly, with an almost cheeky grin, before she's looking to Cora again. The woman is apparently more approachable, and there's the tenuous medic-patient bond for Auda to employ. Meriah is apparently the -Guildmistress- and also preoccupied with being an ornery troublemaker. Reigna also just seems too busy and in-control, so Auda just sticks with Cora as her laison into the situation. "What's being tested on the guildmistress? What's it supposed to do?" So, so curious but also not wanting to get in the way. She's pretty good at not getting underfoot, even being an extra and inexperienced body.

"Then I dare say you're not doing it right." She replies to Caspian, the words are out of Reigna's mouth before she even thinks about it, her eyes moving to Bashira and nodding in return, "Goodwoman Ru-Taul, hello." Cora's voice earns her a steely-eyed look from Reigna and after a pause of perhaps ten seconds, there is some relenting within the Marquessa, and she offers the bottle to Cora. "Fifteen minutes. No less. We need to watch Meriah for any signs of negative reaction. If those fifteen minutes pass, we move onto Caspian, then the victims from the warehouse. Then those bitten by the animals." Reigna lifts a hand to rub the side of her palm over her eyes. "I think I will take a se--" From behind the curtain screening the woman from there warehouse comes an animalesque screech and a loud rattling noise, as if something were struggling on the bed back there. At the sound of the scream Behemo jumps to his feet and yells, "NO!"

Bashira wields Sailor's Delight.

Bashira offers Meriah a small smile as she tells her that her name is pretty, but she's focused on getting her brother into a bed and things. Though his comment about the rag being better than sex makes her roll her eyes, "I'm not commenting." she tells him as she adjusts the pillows for him. "You're going to be alright, brother." she tells him quietly. Then she is up and blocking Caspian's bed when someone is screaming. A flash of red as she draws a knife and lets out a growl.

Cora shakes her head at Auda's question, "No Reigna," She points to the tired woman, "is the Guildmistress, and Meriah is a Master Physician who is having a cure tested on her." Taking the bottle Cora, ignores the steely eyed look and lets it wash over her. She is nodding when the noises begin and her eyes go that way. Frowning she moves to have a look that way, her sword still on her hip is very drawable, "Don't tell me that woman isn't secured." she mutters.

"Hi," Greets Caspian with a weak-ish voice over to Auda, giving her a wave from his bed. Though the rattling and the scream and he sits up in his bed, looking over to the curtain as he stares at it, wondering, "Is everything okay over there? If I need to get out of this bed and kick some ass, no one is ever going to hear the end of it."

Auda wields Steel Knife.

Meriah waves her hand as the knives and swords start flashing. "Woah-woah!" She says sternly, "Woah! Put those down. This is a /clinic/." She scolds, a fiery disapproval in her voice. She is quick on her feet, almost leaping away toward the source of the sound.

"The woman is mad," Denica says, removing the bow from her shoulder, looking towards the source of the sound, she hasn't drawn it back yet but she's certainly ready and with trembling hands waiting to see what happens next.

The motion of Behemo is what draws Amantha's gaze, he having been the first of these cases she had dealt with. But no, she doesn't draw a blade. The tall redhead moves forward toward the enormous man, palms upraised in the very same manner she had attempted to use to soothe him, back in those early days at the jail. Her green eyes settle on him and stay there, levelly. The woman? She'll leave her to the more formidable warriors present.

The knife is in her hand almost before she realizes it. Rattles and screams have never been good in her past, so it was a quick, unconscious reaction! She looks entirely sheepish when Meriah reprimands, and the small knife disappears once more. "Sorry, Mistress Physician. It's.. habit?" Sheepish, so sheepish. Hanging back, because she's aware of being probably the least able to help.

Bashira gives a look to her hand, yes, reflexes, she lowers it to her side. "I'm sorry for drawing it, but there's nothing good that generally comes from that. Let's go see what's going on." she offers to the others. "Caspian, you'll keep yourself right there." she points out. Then she's following after Coraline.

Reigna is moving beside Meriah, heading for the curtain, though her eyes are on Behemo, giving him a wide berth as she moves towards the curtain. "Cora, if you could put that cure somewhere safe and then see if you can calm your friend down?" The instruction is phrased as an indirect request, but her tone is less request and more directive. Still, Reigna moves to the curtain, pulling it aside to see what is happening behind it. The woman there is bound to the bed with rope that has been padded in an effort not to hurt her.

The woman is horribly disfigured by some unknown illness. Half of her body from the shoulders down has doubled or tripled in size in comparison to the other. She is covered in boils and tumors and warty growths. She is shaking the bed back and forth trying to get the rope between her teeth as if to gnaw through it.

Once Behemo sees her, he clearly loses his mind, screaming incoherently and running to the furthest corner away from the woman on the bed.

"So bossy," whines Caspian, shaking his head to Bashira as he remains seated, though his hand is on the hilt of his knife. Gotta be ready. He looks over to Auda, giving her a smile, and says, "Don't think we've met. You work here?"

Behemo flails, nearly hitting Amantha in his fright, but it misses in his flight.

With the sharp situation under control she moves to see this patient. The woman. Her mutilation and disfigurement don’t earn much of a response from Meriah except, "Poor dear." She says, sincerely. Her eyes snapping to Behemo. "Relocate him to the other side of the Clinic. Use my bed if you have to," she says. Barking, mostly for anyone who will listen. Her attention returns to the woman, "What did the world do to you?" She near whispers.

Immediately the cure goes into the safest spot in the clinic, the locked cupboard. That done Cora moves immediately to Behemo where she stands between him and the woman, presenting a solid barrier, "She can't hurt you, I won't let her. You are safe, safe. Ok? I will protect you, you are safe." She speaks soothingly to Behemo while keeping her eyes on the woman. However she ties down her weapon so another cannot draw it, not trusting fear and panic won't get the better of Behemo or another. "You are safe." she repeats continually to the large man.

Auda hesitates, but then pads quietly after Cora, towards Behemo. "I'll help, too. If she wants to get to you, sir, she'll have to get through me." She smiles up to the man, and then turns so her back is to him and she's facing the mutated woman. Keeping herself as a physical barrier, even if she can't block her from his vision. Auda's trying to help, at least!

"Auda," is called over to Caspian, belatedly!

"J-just say the word and I can end this!" Denica says, bow only held not drawn back, but she's clearly ready to use it if she has to, but she does at least have -some- measure of self control.

"I'm your sister, I'm allowed to be." the Sailor tells Caspian as she flips the knife in her hands. Bashira gives a look to the woman that's become...worse since they've last seen her. There's a deep frown from the Shaman. "Your highness, do you want me to try to restrain her further?" she asks. "If she gets up I'm afraid we'll have to take more lethal action." she states. "And I don't know if you've gotten the information that you needed. "Or if she's too far gone." she states quietly.

Meriah narrows her eye at Denica. "Not in my Clinic. Put that thing away before you hurt somebody." Her tone is contemptuous before it returns to the restrained woman. "She's sick. Just like the rest of them. That's all."

The big man is trembling, eyes never leaving the figure thrashing, trying to get free of the ropes that bind her. Behemo's voice lowers to a whisper, a chanting cry of "No, no, no, no" unending in its repetition.

As for the woman in the bed, her head is partially bald, the rest of her hair is a cloud of mostly silver with streaks of its original black. Her eyes are wide, and when Meriah speaks to her, there is an animal cunning that comes to life within them. She stops attempting to chew at her ropes, shifting her stance trying to appear small, not particularly convincingly, given her mass and the fact that she was just rocking the bed into a near flip. "H-help. Help Meg. Hurting. Hurting." She holds up a mutilated hand, all but her index finger and thumb are gone, the skin blackened with burns. "Help."

"Shh, don't worry she can't hurt you." Cora speaks calmly towards Meriah, "That woman is who was spreading the illness and torturing people and animals, don't let her fool you she caused all of this." She goes back to making soothing sounds to Behemo and even resting a hand gently on his shoulder still acting as barrier between Behemo and the woman on the bed, she does spare a smile to Auda.

Caspian nudges Bashira with his elbow, giving her a grin as he lays back down. Looking over to Auda, he squints her way, realing, "Wait, I've met you, I lost a hundred silver to you in that gamble. Good job with that, that was fun!"

"She did this," Denica confirms, looking at the woman with a deep breath she begrudgingly lowers the bow and crosses her arms, if only to halt the trembling of her hands. "She's not just like the rest of them, she started all of this."

Bashira stands where she is with the blade in hand, but lowered at her side, just in case things go south any further. She's deathly serious at the moment. Though the nudge from her brother brings her gaze to him and there's a smile to him. Then she goes back to watching 'Meg'.

Meriah crosses her arms and stares at the woman in the bed. Her glare is immense in its determinism. "It doesn't matter. Sickness ain’t just open cuts and a cough. Sickness can be deep inside, all the way to the bones. The world fucked her up and we'll get her the help she needs. Even if she won't like it. Which I highly suspect." She says with a slow grin. "But she is a patient in this Clinic and we will treat her like we do any agitated patient."

Auda slinks forward after offering her name to Caspian, plucking up the edge of the curtain around the woman's bed and then doing her best to get it between the bed and Behemo so that he can't -see- the source of his anxiety. "I don't work here, no. I just came for some salve, and then.." Her free hand just kinda gestures around the room, as if to say '-this- happened'.

Behemo shudders and while he lets Cora patting him, he is still trembling. He does let his eyes drop to Cora's sword, proving the Princess' caution was smart. Seeing the binding, the man shudders and goes back to staring at the woman. "Bad. Bad. Bad." When Auda is putting up that barrier, Behemo is slumping, as if just having her out of sight is enough for him in that moment. He's still tense, but he's not trembling anymore.

When Cora and Denica are speaking against her, Meg shakes her head, looking up at Meriah, "No, no, not Meg! Meg work on medicine. Meg good. Good. They came to Meg's home, hurt Meg. Killed her patients."

Bashira says in Isles shav, "Shut up, Meg."

Seeing that tension go out of Behemo, Cora remains right where she is and keeps making soothing noises and gestures, though a grateful look goes to Auda, "Oh to be sure she should be treated, and certainly kept separate as well and remain restrained." However Cora has also been paying attention to the time as well as watching Meriah as well as she can from this angle. She trusts Meriah knows how to handle such a patient.

Caspian adjusts the rag on his forehead, letting out a soft groan, and follows it up with, "Moan, groan, whine, gurgle." He looks over to Bashira, lifting his brows as he notes, "I need to learn Island Shav some time."

Bashira looks to between everyone and the woman that's being quarantined. Then she sheathes the blades on her hip, next to the other one. She still keeps herself standing. Just in case there's anything that suddenly jumps out. There's a look to her brother and a bit of a soft chuckle as he breaks the tension, "I can teach you." she tells him.

Reigna looks around the room, seeing that the immediate threat seems to be reduced, she is going to collect some of the cure, just a small cup full, before locking the cabinet again. She carries the medicine to Caspian and offers him the cup, "Drink." There is a pause and she says, "Please. And sorry about the quip about you being bad at sex. It has been a very long day." As if to emphasize that a messenger comes in and hands her a letter.

Vern arrives, delivering a message to Reigna before departing.

Meriah snaps at the woman, Meg. "Shut it!" Her voice, when raised, is loud and there is a blackness and viciousness to it, a unspoken hurt; before he turns away toward the others. "Sedative. The strongest we have. I need a strap for her head as well, to keep it down. Bring my bone saw and pliers, in case we need to amputate anything."

Reigna GM Roll checked strength(4) + athletics(2) at difficulty 40, rolling 9 lower.

Meriah gets decorative amputation saw from Oak-Handled Physician Bag.

Auda looks like she wants to jump to Meriah's instructions, but has no idea where to get any of those things. Her free hand moves towards her belt a little, willing to offer it as a headstrap, but she's also looking to Bashira, Denica and Cora. Surely they know where things are kept here? Additionally, her job of curtain-rod seems to be a fairly important one, since the big man is now -calm-, if not relaxed.

When that change comes in Meriah's demeanor and she snaps at Meg, there is a scream sent back to her, and the woman begins thrashing back and forth, trying to tip the bed over, or, well, the motive isn't entirely clear, but she's hollering and making quite a bit of noise, the legs of the bed rocking and falling onto the floor as she thrashes.

Behemo shudders and puts his hands over his ears. Reigna looks up from her missive, her jaw set, eyes flashing, even as she stuffs it into her robe pocket. She directs the orderlies to follow Meriah's instructions and she keeps back, her guards scrambling to flank her as if preparing to haul her away if violence breaks out.

Meriah gets cold-steel ecraseur from Oak-Handled Physician Bag.

Meriah gets a metal, clean scarificator from Oak-Handled Physician Bag.

Meriah gets scissor-like arrow remover from Oak-Handled Physician Bag.

Thankfully Cora didn't bring her own guards, instead she snaps out, "And someone gag her would you!" She continues calming Behemo remaining a solid, if much smaller than he barrier between him and that noisy curtain. That sedative can't come soon enough.

Reigna checked dexterity + medicine at difficulty 25, rolling 29 higher.

Reigna moves over to Meriah with what remains of the potent sedative Jacali brewed a while back, a dose set in a flask and a funnel in her other hand. "Let us see if we can hold her head?" Reigna is watching the woman, funnel held out as if attempting to find the right timing to get it into the woman's mouth. Thankfully the screaming provides opportunity, and Reigna is able to wedge the funnel between the woman's teeth, handing the sedative to Meriah.

Denica just watches at this point, she's moving to stand with Coraline, really unsure of what else she can be doing at the moment, eyes wide as she watches the woman and a glance back to Cora, as if demanding her to explain what she's witnessing.

Meriah checked dexterity + medicine at difficulty 25, rolling 15 higher.

"Oh, I don't care about jokes at my expense," Says Caspian back to Reigna with a smile given her way, and drinks the medicine, sticking out his tongue afterwards. "Eeeh, taste like oathlander cuisine," he says with a hiss, then grins to Reigna. "So, this should work?"

Meriah takes the sedative from Reigna and approaches. She doesn't hesitate when the opportunity provides itself--just another agitated patient. "Down the hatch," she mutters.

"Do you need help?" Bashira asks of Reigna and Meriah. After that is offered she just quiets and then looks to Caspian, "Don't think I'm going to get into another relationship anytime soon." she shrugs when he comments on sex. "So what will the Champions do now that the Tourney is over?" she asks him with a smile.

There is an attempt from the woman not to swallow. She hurks, she hoots, but down it goes. It works wickedly, blessedly fast, and soon enough the thrashing is calmed and the woman's body goes slack. Reigna inhales a deep breath and looks back to Caspian. "That is the idea. And our food is delicious." She looks to Meriah, "How are you feeling, Meriah? Anything to report?" Reigna moves away, looking over to Behemo, who is slowly starting to calm down, once more.

Auda is still just holding that curtain up, though now that the woman's sedated, she starts to just pull it around the bed to reinstitute the quarantine. She glances to all of the authoritative clinic figures as she does, though! Making sure none of them want the view to the bed left open.

Now that Behemo is calming down, Cora tries to gently but firmly guide him to a bed as far away from the woman as is possible. She says to Denica, "Had to quiet her down and keep her from doing harm to herself or others." Now that that is done she looks to Meriah and is watching her carefully as well, very interested in the answer.

Meriah sighs and wipes her forehead as the body goes slack. She moves to study her equipment. Muttering to herself. When Reigna speaks, it draws a look from the surgeon and a toothy smile. "Huh? Oh. Right. Right as rain. Right as rain." She repeats, though seems to fall into focus on her thoughts. She removes her umbra coat and tosses it at a nurse then pinches her sleeves up to her elbows. "Alright. I want samples from some of these warts. Whatever this is, needs to be studied. Even if we have a cure. Where....ah...yes," she takes up her ecraseur. A nod to Bashira. "Stand by, if you want to help. In case the sedative don't take all the way."

"I'm probably going to run another one," Says Caspian back to Bashira with a little grin her way as he lays down and awaits for the cure to take effect. "Going to start signups soon, I think," he continues, shrugging to her. "Hopefully this time it goes more smoothly."

Bashira gives a nod to Meriah, "Will do." she tells her with a look to Meg. Then there's a look back to Caspian and a smile to her brother, "It'll be fun to see. Though, I think doing a Joust competition might be fun as well." she admits.

"By the gods, Meriah." Reigna is not herself today, and is showing hints of exasperation as she turns to face the other Master Physician. She put hands on the woman's shoulders, trying to spin her around so she can look into her eyes, and do a basic physical exam, emphasis on the basic. Still, it is something Reigna is attempting to do. Her wrist is pressed to Meriah's forehead to check her for fever, her eyes are examined, looking for jaundice, quick probes of her fingers to either side of Meriah's neck, checking for swollen lymph nodes. It is a rapid fire thing, done in under two minutes, and Reigna appears appeased. "There. Now you can do... whatever you wish to do. Get your samples."

Denica nods to Coraline, drawing a deep breath and sighing. "Is it working?" She wonders. "Do you think they're really going to be able to help the woman?"

Cora nods in answer to Denica and once Behemo is settled, she stays nearby but watches Reigna checking Meriah over then sighs in relief when it looks like she is doing alright. A smile goes to Denica, "Oh I think she will be helped, and I think we will find answers through Meriah's skill even if the woman says not one word." She looks around and leans against Behemo's bed for a moment seeming to pull together her energy, "Right, lets see about settling the rest of the patients, no doubt that noise didn't help, then we can make sure the woman is properly secured. Want to help Bashira, I will assist Meriah." Although her eyes go to Reigna with a a considering look.

Meriah is spun right 'round by the Marquessa and blinks as she finds herself suddenly in a physical exam. "Wha-" She doesn't argue. Wrinkling her nose until she is released from the attention. She rubs the back of her neck. "Uh. Right." Then she's back to talking to herself. "Alright. Well if we give her the cure, it may kill her--seems the infection is spread far throughout her body. She'll have to be dosed, slowly and over time. Less than we all got." She approaches with the tool, "Cora--er--princess, bring me a vial to catch some blood."

"I'll probably do another one of those as well," Says Caspian back to Bashira with a little grin given her way. "Maybe we'll even do a human jousting competition, have people ride on other people's shoulders." He pauses a moment, then grins, "Wait, no, that's exactly what I'm gonna do. That sounds fun."

Bashira was looking off in the distance for a moment and then there's talk of catching blood and that brings her back to reality and things. She gives her brother a laugh, "That I won't be able to miss." she tells him with a smile. "How are you feeling?" she asks him as she reaches up to touch her hand to his cheek.

Reigna moves away from Meriah, moving back to the cabinet where the cure is being stored. Caspian's words catch her attention and there is a little twitch of her lips. "I did something like that at Lady Khanne's birthday party. I called it a bear race. One partner wore a bear costume, the other rode upon their back and hand lances. As they raced around the track, they had to collect hoops hung from trees. That is how Mae came by Scourge. He was one of the prizes."

Denica nods a moment and looks to Bashira. "Yes, I can help her," Denica says, moving to join her while Coraline does her own thing and she nods slowly towards the other woman. "Hello? Bashira? What can I do to help?"

Cora nods at Meriah and goes to collect the gear specific to catching blood, thank goodness her tunic isn't capable of staining even if her robe will need to be replaced due to blood stains....again. Setting the gear where it is needed, she nods to Meriah, "Lets do this." She leans over and speaks quietly to Meriah before she is fully focused on the task at hand.

Meriah checked intellect + medicine at difficulty 15, rolling 48 higher.

Meriah holds the erasurer near one of the boils on Meg. She uses it, it makes an awful springy and sharp sound, and safely removes the thing off the skin. There's some blood, of course! She let's Cora do the catching. A brief glance is given to her and then back toward Reigna. She says something quietly. When it's done, she nods. "I want to test a drop of the cure in the blood. See if there's a reaction. Then we can start feeding her droplets with more sedative."

"Feel free to put me to work, too. I'm still here, after all." Auda looks between all the people-- and then her eyes dart back to Cora. Did she finally hear that word right? Princess?! She'd apparently been glossing over it until now, which meant she was being -far- too familiar with her.. Staring.

"Easiest way to do it is probably have people in the water in the beach, one person riding on another's shoulders, and the goal is to knock the guy on top in the water," Caspian says back to Bashira with a grin her way. "It should be pretty fun! Maybe we can have everyone battle each other all at once."

Bashira gives a look to Denica, "Yes your highness? Oh, I'm not sure for the moment. Meriah is probably the one needing help. I'm holding back unless Meg wakes up." she tells her with a respectful bow of her head and a soft smile. Then there's a look to Caspian and a laugh, "Sounds like Thrax would win." she admits.

"We always win," Denica says with a little laugh towards Bashira and a glance spared for Caspian. "Well I don't know what to do, truth be told, but I want to do something to be helpful," Denica admits. "I may be a bit out of my element here, I'm afraid. No politicing, no fighting... that's about all I know. Well art too, but I don't know how that ever helps with anything but my boredom."

Auda's stare is finally noted as Cora does a double take and blinks confused, "Are you okay Mistress Auda?" She asks now done with the blood catching she goes to make sure the woman hasn't come down with something suddenly.
