Octavian, a silken spaniel arrives, following Zoey.

Waldemai says quietly, "I am very interested in not annoying healers. Have you ever heard Lady Eirene talk?"

Sure, there are probably questions about why Calaudrin needs to be here? It might be that it's around the corner from his house and he had nothing better to do! It might be because people are insinuating he's boring! So hmpft! Look, see. He has a hobby! Crashing medical lectures. He'll show all of you. He stomps through and finds a seat, prepared to watch with raised eyebrows.

"Come in, sit down. There's tea... somewhere." A hand is waved towards a side table. "Now, I personally have never seen Lady Eirene irate, but I've heard tales and..." Well, he launches into his grand beginning speech.

"We all know that soldier who comes home with his arm handing by a tendon and says.." Godric clears his throat and falsetto's, "It's just a flesh wound." Rolling his eyes, his voice lowers back to normal. "Don't be that soldier. But, also, don't be that person who messages all of your physician friends with a desperate plea of 'Help, I'm dying!'... when you really just have a sniffle." He points at some random person in the crowd who looks like they would be guilty of such a thing. "Don't. Do. It." he warns. "Instead, write down some common remedies for your aches, pains, and discomforts so you can just go right to an apothecary shop and buy what you need when you need it. Trust me, you don't want to piss off your healers. And, if there is enough demand some of us might stock the hospital here with some herbal kits. Just don't irritate us and make us throw them at you." he counsels, waiting for reaction before he continues. That's right, he didn't even personally greet everyone. No etiquette at all.

"No -- only in a messenger." Elloise adds (at - toward - something) to Waldemai, completely out of the blue as she looks up from a textbook on table etiquette. Quill tucked behind one ear, head canted, "But I can imagine. She has a very, mm, large reputation for being outspoken. That's polite-speak for loud." Blinking, she seems apt to make further comment, but she bites it back and keeps reading.

Oswyn sidles in, his satchel slung over his shoulder, and takes up a position on the outskirts of the group to listen in.

Zoey doesn't exactly -scurry- into the hospital lobby, but she does move her long legs with quick purpose, light on her feet as she negotiates the growing crowd and glancing around for a place to settle. "Lady Eirene is just direct," she posits, taking a seat and fishing a flask out of her satchel. As tea is provided, she calmly spikes the tea and stows the flask again, all attention on Godric as he speaks.

Slipping in, Cora takes a look around and settles in the back. A look of curiosity on her face as she does so.

Corbit walks in quietly and glances around before taking a spot next to Elloise before settling in to listen to the speech.

"What if I've pissed off the apothecary shop?" Calaudrin asks, raising his hand.

"You know how to pick flowers?" Godric counters, arms folding across his chest. "Just come here. Even if you've pissed us all off, someone will probably take pity on you and give you an herbal remedy kit."

Zoey glances over her shoulder at Calaudrin, her full lips curling upwards in amusement. "Find Mistress Valery? She's pretty hard to make angry. Easy to spook, though."

Calaudrin nods somberly, as if these are all very good suggestions.

"When we say 'throwing them', Inquisitor Godric, we do mean healing herbal kits -- right? We're not advocating for the right to throw patients. Are we? That doesn't sound like a terribly nice thing to do. Unless they're irritating." Elloise sighs a deep sigh, "I guess." Then, she leans toward the side in order to dig an elbow into Corbit's side, muttering and barely hiding a grin. "Stop causing trouble, Corbit!"

"Now if you have a sore throat from bellowing, well, I'd say that's your own damn problem. But, I promised I'd do this. So, whatever." The last bit is muttered, as Godric rolls his neck back and forth a little. "Honey is known to have some healing qualities, and it often soothes the throat when part of a tea. I'd reccommend it as a first step. But, willowbark tea is also good for aches and pains. So if plain tea with honey doesn't work, graduate to willowbark. Which you can also use for general whining about ouchies." An eyebrow raises as if he expects everyone to agree that people whine about ouchies. "And people tend to be worn out when they have the sniffles, so a bit of rosemary can sometimes help with energy." He shoots his apprentice, Elloise, a look. "Well, I /did/ mean throwing herbal kits. But throwing patients sounds like an idea to write down." He nods towards her notepad. Totally deadpan.

Elizabetta, a disapproving lady-in-waiting, 2 Grayson House Guards, Valor, a small brown and white corgi puppy, Lily, an aloof lady-in-waiting, Clark, an exasperated guard arrive, following Sabella.

Isabelle, who is just so tired of everyone's nonsense, Sabella arrive, following Niklas.

Oswyn's head bobs. He appears to agree that people do whine about ouchies. He looks quite solemn about it.

There is a sparkle in Zoey's velvet brown eyes as she watches Godric, whiskey-soaked tea hovering halfway between lips and lap with a slender hand curled -just- so in perfect form. In fact, from the way that her smile is growing slowly, bit by little bit, it might be possible to surmise that the Inquisitor is currently her favourite person in the world.

Waldemai says, "Point and I'll throw them for you." He's built low to the ground and has a smith's muscles.

Godric appears to be making mental notes; Oswyn, check. Waldemai, brownie points. Zoey... possibly requires medical assistance, check.

Elloise takes that suggestion literally. Quill, ink, note. She nods crisply and smiles, mouthing, "Done."

"...so you can't actually call him Uncle Gusty. That's like calling him Uncle Great Uncle Augustus. See?" Sabella is explaining to Niklas as they walk in, glancing around and giving a bright smile and wave to those assembled, "Have we missed much? Because I felt a bit ill after eating earlier and I wondered if that wasn't something I ought to see someone about and if you've already done that part I will need to look over someone's notes."

Zoey just continues to grin a little at Godric's bedside manner before taking a mild sip of her tea. "Mm." She rises when Sabella and Niklas completely interrupt the intructor's lecture and moves to greet both of them with a kiss on the cheek. Sabella is directed to the tea, while Nik gets Zoey's flask. "We're currently on aches and pains, Bella-dear," Zoey murmurs as she retakes her seat.

"I hadn't quite gotten there yet, but I can do so now." Godric agrees, nodding somewhat curtly, but politely, at Sabella and Niklas. "Something I often run into at the morgue, when people arrive at unfortunate times is nausea. There are several remedies for it. For example, if you enter the morgue and I'm not already annoyed at the interruption I keep a peppermint paste on hand to rub under the nose a bit. That can help with nausea due to scent." Seriously, imagine the funk in the morgue sometimes people. Ugh. "Peppermint tea also works. As does ginger tea, or honey-ginger candies. But if your nausea is due to nerves, chamomile can be better then either of the others as a soother. Does that help?" Elloise gets a discrete nod of approval for her diligent note taking.

"Well, either way Gusty and I are bound to be good friends," lies Niklas quite capably. When he sees Zoey he gives her a big smile and a wave, as utterly oblivious to the fact that he might be disrupting something as he is every time he disrupts things! He takes a swig from the flask before passing it back to Zoey. When Godric starts his spiel he gives a nod and leans over to say not-quite-quiet-enough to Zoey, "You'd think that when someone arrives at the morgue they're long past nausea. Though I find there aren't many remedies for the conditions from which they generally suffer." He lifts Sabella's hand and kisses the back, then lets go and moves to go fetch her some tea.

Smiling at the conversations and having enjoyed being part of the lesson's audience Cora slips out.

3 Thrax Guards, Freja the long suffering leave, following Coraline.

"Taking into consideration, Inquisitor Godric, there are worse odors in the world than death --" says the Harlequin with a sunny little smile, Elloise continues taking her notes without glancing up.

Sabella smiles back at Zoey and offers her a kiss on the cheek in return, "I definitely am going to need some of that paste," but she nods to Godric to show that he certainly answered her question as she finds herself a seat near Zoey. She then gives Elloise an emphatic nod, "Eggs are the worst!" She chimes in.

Zoey glances at her cousin-in-law with a mildly amused expression before shaking her head. "Nik, darling, you're being loud again and probably irritating the healer currently on hand." Sip. "Which is rather counter-productive to our conversation."

"Point taken... Baroness." Godric still isn't used to that, obviously, when he replies to Elloise' point before continuing on implacably. "Some of you probably have brats already. And if not, you might just be obligated to have em soon. So remember the ginger, because you can rub it on their gums for toothaches." Godric has been working on his segues everyone, like a boss. Also like a boss, he does not at all look amused at Niklas joke. Of course, since his expression hasn't changed at all since he started talking, that could just be that he doesn't know how to smile, period. He does know how to look relieved though, given the glance Zoey's way when she says what he's thinking. "And if you want them to pass out asleep, a bit of whiskey rubbed into the gums probably won't turn them into a raging alcoholic later in life. For adults, assuming you don't whiskey away the pain of a toothache, you can rub some clove oil that's been diluted in grapeseed oil on your gums. Any questions so far?"

Sabella leans over to Oswyn and whispers not very quietly, "Make sure you take notes on the parts where he mentions babies, okay? That's going to be very important information I will need in a few months."

Adding in bold, blocky capital letters to her notes: EGGS. Elloise is in definite agreement. She looks up, pales, then turns an ugly and emabarassed shade of pink, and she buries her face back into her notes.

Zoey finishes her tea and rises. She hands the cup over to the apprentice who had been manning the refreshements before slowly turning to Godric and inclining her head gratefully. With that, and a fond pat to Sabella's shoulder, she's gone.

Godric stands at the front of the room still, hands clasped behind his back while he paces back and forth. "Finally, let's deal with minor scratches. Everyone should have bandage rolls at home. You can clean the wound with water, and then apply a poultice of calendula and thyme. Some people use marigold as well. And remember, this is if it doesn't need stitches. If it's a gaping wound, please don't stuff flowers and greenery into it okay? Light scratches, and minor cuts. Calendula and thyme. Clear?" He's just so charming isn't he? "I think I've about covered all the basics there. But if any of you have any questions, that's part of why I'm here. Ask it now, so you don't have to ask later."

Waldemai is a smith and that means plenty of nicks and cuts. Steel is like that. "Where do you get calendula?" Thyme is not a problem.

Niklas just nods to Zoey, though by the time he's back with Sabella's tea the recently minted Kennex is gone. "Huh. Well." He hands off the tea to Sabella, giving her a fond smile, then looks back to Oswyn. "Ah, so we meet again, Scholar Oswyn. I hope this is proving to be more noteworthy than your last event. At least the title of this one does appear to have something to do with what is happening." He looks up to Godric and seems to realize to some degree or another that chatting to Oswyn isn't great for his note taking, so he just sits and listens. Of course, it's mostly done by that point. "Does fenugreek have any medicinal use?" If he's making a joke, it doesn't really make sense.

Sabella has a sip of tea and says, "Calendars are certainly very good for keeping time, but I've never heard of them helping with wounds. This is certainly a very informative meeting!"

That - that noise. What is that noise? It sounds like it's high-pitched enough to startle hounds into baying. No, never the mind. Elloise was squeaking with delight, and she throws a hand up into the air, waving it. "Inquisitor Godric, a question for you --" she clears her throat, "-- what if a patient is suffering from the following symptoms: food aversion, fatigue, and sudden changes in mood?" A beat. "Fenugreek's good for nursing mothers, I think."

"You can either pick it yourself, or go to an apothecary such as.. I believe, someone mentioned Valery. Likely she might have drawings of what it looks like before it's dried out, too." Godric replies, with a firm nod at Waldemai. "Cal-end-u-la." He repeats, slowly, glancing at Sabella as if she's grown a second head for some reason. "Not the same as Calendar. And if someone is displaying those symptoms, Baroness, it sounds like they might need Fenugreek soon. Because yes, it is good for nursing mothers to increase milk production." Answering two questions at once! He is going to be smug about that later.

Niklas nods at Elloise and Godric. "That's interesting." As an aside to Oswyn he says, "I once read in a book that fenugreek and birthwort could be used to make an invigorating elixir. I believe wolf's blood was involved. Always seemed like nonsense to me, but one never knows these days." He goes to take another swig from the flask, but, oh yes, Zoey's gone. So instead he just sighs.

Sabella raises her hand but then doesn't wait to be called on, "Oh, oh, I know that one! Is it a woman? Because that means she's expecting. And I know this because that's how I feel alll the time! I don't want to eat because, ugh, the smell! But then I'm also ravenously hungry. But, also sick to my stomach? So sometimes I will vomit and then eat a moment later as if nothing just happened. And I nap a lot. A LOT!" She tells Elloise, looking to Niklas for confirmation that napping is a thing that does happen frequently.

Elloise snorts and cackles, smearing ink as points the quill at her brother. "NO, Corbit, I'm not!"

Corbit jumps back a little, "Hey, I..." for once, he seems at a loss for words, he simply sighs and nods to his sister.

"I.. is what a woman?" Godric's brow furrows, like he's confused. And he stays confused, trying to nod along slowly with Sabella. "I... okay. Right. Ginger tea, I suggest. Preferably before you expel your stomach contents." For Niklas sake, maybe, if nothing else. "And the peppermint paste. Maybe use the past before you start to eat." Why didn't he remember to ask a midwife to join him here? Discomfort slowly seeps in.

"She naps a lot," confirms Niklas, glancing to Elloise and Sabella. "And she's been eating muffins like mad. And craving odd foods, like custard and olives. And weak of stomach. Certain smells just make her throw up all over baroness shoes." He gives a look of genuine concern and reaches out to set a hand on Sabella's shoulder. "I think she must have one of those late winter colds. Perhaps I should see her home."

Sabella laughs and puts her hand over Niklas', moving to stand as she repeats, "Expel your stomach contents," She nods as if she approves of this turn of phrase, "What an utterly delightful way to say that. I've never really liked the term 'vomit' it is far too violent. I like your way to say it better." She has another sip of tea before stifling a yawn, "Apologies, that isn't because this is not interesting, I am just overly tired. Thank you for all the very helpful information!"

Godric looks immediately at Elloise' shoes, with a definite hint of suspicion. No vomit shoes allowed in the morgue!! "Custard and olives. That sounds perfectly dreadul to be honest. I'd bring it right back up too." It's said without paology, of course. "Certainly. Be careful on your way back home, it wouldn't do to see you back here so soon after leaving." And to the others gathered, a raised eyebrow. "Any other questions?"

Elizabetta, a disapproving lady-in-waiting, 2 Grayson House Guards, Valor, a small brown and white corgi puppy, Lily, an aloof lady-in-waiting, Clark, an exasperated guard leave, following Sabella.

Isabelle, who is just so tired of everyone's nonsense, Sabella leave, following Niklas.

Oswyn brightens up and beams at Sabella and Niklas. It makes him look twelve. Maybe fourteen, actually, since he's stubbly of late. "Congratulations!" he whispers as loudly as he dares. "That's so exciting!" Also he hasn't been taking notes. Now he might feel he should be, because he digs around in his satchel for his book and quill. A rock drops on his foot.

"No - I wear boots, Inquisitor Godric - not slippers. Easy to clean if I should have my shoes vomited on by pregnant Grayson princesses." Elloise shrugs her shoulders, offering Corbit a cheerful little smile, "Sorry, brother-mine -- I was feeling a bit cheeky. I am practicing my comedic timing with the telling of jokes. There's much to be desired. A work in progress."

Binky, an asshole crow arrives, delivering a message to Elloise before departing.

"And thank the Gods for practicality." Godric intones, still with a look of suspicion. "Please tell me you did not injure your foot after I've gone through all this trouble on how not to irritate a physician." he suddenly adds, turning to look at Oswyn and the offending rock.

3 Iron Guardsmen have been dismissed.

Oswyn glances down. "No, my boots are very practical," he tells Godric, completely earnest. He stoops to collect the rock. "And it's a very small rock."

"Very good then!" Godric gathers up his various notes. "I shall conclude the meeting before disaster strikes, so I can say it all went smoothly. Thank you all for coming."
