Relationship Note on Niklas
I was honored to be among the cast of Prince Niklas' newest play, the Song of Tala Everfree. It was an unforgettable experience, putting on this play all across the Mourning Isles, but I'll never forget the rush of that first curtain rise. Niklas is my favorite playwright, and I'm not just saying that because he is my patron.

It's not hard to find a sense of pride in the accomplishments of a dear, close friend - particularly when that accomplishment is the size of FIFTEEN CARAVELS!! The Archduchess of Lenosia has proven herself yet again to be an amazing leader, expertly capable of bringing people together to accomplish the incredible.

Today I learned that putting medicinal rosemary oil on food like fried potatoes or using it to dip bread into only SOUNDS like a delicious idea.
I wasn't seriously going to eat the ointment. It smelled terrible and tasted like those overbearing peppermints that you find underneath the sofa after grandmother's come to visit.

The wedding of Lady Brianna and Lord Alecstazi was a lot of fun. Except perhaps the part where Lord Arik got stabbed. But he's fine and our team won the snowball fight so I say the whole thing was a success!

The Taste of Arx was a great way to introduce myself to the city. I helped solve a murder in the Velenosa Ward (it was the invisible horse, of course), cheered the Queen on in an arm-wrestling championship in the Redrain Ward, and beat out Porter in an eating competition of our favorite foods in the Thrax Ward. I met a lot of new people, made a few new friends, and got really drunk which is always a bonus. I won't say which one was my favorite, they were all really fun, but there is one party that stood out in particular.

My baby sister's come to Arx! After so long away, traveling from here to there, it's nice to settle down for awhile and be among family. Bonus, she hasn't really grown much since the last time I saw her so it's like no time at all has passed.
Sad to say she wasn't able to bring her little boat here. But I promise you, sister, once the whirlpool has stopped it's whirlpoolyness, we'll get here to the City.
