So in case anyone was wondering, no, the Gray Forest is still dangerous. And yes, to stay too long within is foolhardy at best. So don't do that.

Also, throat cuts are particularly annoying when you like to sing. Or speak. I know that was the point, it's still frustrating.

Speaking of the Realm being attacked, didn't we hear about the unfortunate losses of Knights, Princesses, and assorted individuals lately? Was that just me? No? Good!

But please, set your fires! Division, that's what we need! We survived the Siege, we don't have anything else that could possibly require maintained unity.

But in regard to Thrax, I should point out that at least they sing when they work. More people should do that. Singing while working is good for the soul.

Going back to laughing now.

Braying within the Archives? That's just rude. Please try to find whatever mule you let slip within. Meanwhile, I shall return to watch the embers.

I want you to picture the gasps, the shocked crowd growing still as it reels from hearing that latest journal. I want you to picture it well, the stunned faces, just before the storm of reprisal, approval or outrage.

Do you hear it? A solitary voice, even as the crowd draws air to shout, cheer or scream. That voice? It's laughing.

That's me.

Grandmaster Armel has been declared deputy of Pun Jail. He has an arrest quota to keep. So don't give him the excuse.

And yes, there is an actual badge. If you think you're worthy of wearing one too, I will accept applications.

He was a surprise. It was decided he should also be a surprise to another.

Has he moved at all? It was the subject of considerable discussion.

In my experience, a prisoner's favorite punctuation mark is the period. It marks the end of their sentence.

Punishment for bad puns would be simple: Pun jail. What is pun jail? The place where all of the badly punning people go. Stick them all in one cell together, and check in every decade to see if they're still at it.

A special award will be left for the last man/woman/person punning. We'll ask the Deathlector to check if the dead ones have given up or not.

I would further add to Sister Gisele's comment that while Vellichor maybe-could-not judge, I certainly do.

I've yet to find the legal loophole that would allow arrest based on dubious puns, but I'll find it, rest assured.

Relationship Note on Marian

Writer's note: Confessor Narciso Artiglio came in with a lute and just began to sing on the spot. He left without a word, only indicating we should be respectful of "her" song. What follows is what we pieced together, those of us present.

Have you heard of the tale,
Of a dragon whose mail,
Was not of steel most true,
But of a will all knew,

Ask the wind of cold winter,
He remembers of her,
She was born from the stag,
And defied the drake's flag,

Yet when a young wyrm fell,
Among the stags' dire cell,
She found her heart take flight,
To join the prince most bright,

Of this theft none would know,
Till the drake's scales of snow,
Would guard her from the harm,
Traitors deal with their arm,

His heart for her beat true,
And in that time all knew,
Stag's daughter would depart,
Her new life was to start,

Among dragons she lived,
Even when fate deprived,
The two with cruel hand,
Of this tale's more happy end,

Sorrow came for her then,
With bright memories when,
She was not so alone,
In tale of so tragic tone,

Yet she reared back and struck,
Sorrow now most awestruck,
"I will not yield" she said,
"For all the tears I shed,"

"None will see me unmade,
On neither tree nor blade,
Take my words to the wind,
I shall long live and grin."

So have you heard of her,
Still here is her answer,
Only whispers of she,
Are brought to my aerie,

But now she's summoned me,
To have a cup of tea,
Secrets and lies beware,
You shall soon find me there.

Just a reminder that your friendly neighborhood Inquisition is there for all your investigative needs. Don't be afraid to call on us!

The people with their white journals are aware we read them, yes? Do they think we've disappeared?

Do they need another reminder?

First, you need to grab your lute. If you don't have one, learn how to play, then get one. Next, you find a good, strong, old tree. You climb up that tree. Then you watch the stars fill the night sky. You tune your lute while you search your heart for something to fill the dark between the stars. When your lute is tuned, when you've found that which wants to leave your heart and fill your throat... That's when you sing.

If rocks are thrown your way, then congratulations, you now know you should never, ever, do it again. Better give that lute to someone else, and grab some of those rocks in case they turn out to be as bad as you are.

Reading all these white journals, and I'm amazed at the honesty displayed therein. It goes straight to my heart, makes me positively giddy with excitement. I'm making lists of names. It's titled "People of Interest". I'll be sure to track all individuals there-in and offer the listening ear they seem to beg for.

Don't thank me, it's what Confessors do. We care, really.

Please note that the scholars may take some time preparing your journal for others to read.

Leave blank if this journal is not a relationship

Mark if this is a private, black journal entry
