When I found him at the Arena, we quickly began talking. After a few drinks, I got him to spar with me. He may not have been the toughest opponent, but damn if I don't respect a fighter.

A lot of new faces as of late, but I am very pleased that I have a new shaman to call friend, as well as an old friend returned. Lady Signe and Lady Khanne are gifted and empathetic people, and their connection with the spirits gives me much hope and joy in being able to call upon their wisdom and guidance to adhere to the true path.

After Stormwall, it seems there's so much to be said, but so little that hasn't been said better elsewhere. I am simply grateful to all of the Northern army that rallied to its defense and the commanders that led it. I am eternally proud to be where I am from and my Northern kin and those who we've accepted as our own. I am pleased by the foreigners of the Compact who came to defend us up there and did not cast anything negative towards us or our beliefs. And most of all, let us honor all who fell in defense of Stormwall, and the city itself that became the ultimate sacrifice to stop the dark legions that were intent on far worse.

Well! Things have certainly got more exciting more quickly. After meeting a bunch of Redrain nobles and other assorted people associated with the House, I've found my life much busier. I had the honor of meeting - and befriending - the Warchief, Princess Marian Redrain. And then came the Warrior's Woading Ceremony! This was put together by Princess Ann Redrain, and it was a chaotic whirlwind of drinking, games, and boisterous fun. Yours truly won second place in the mud wrestling tournament, losing to the Red Bear - and then lost to her in the drinking competition! Our Redrain Princesses are the most fierce and grand! Princess Marian won stones, so we took three of the four games. And the ever devoted Shaman Lady Khanne woaded us and gave her blessings. Truly, it was a drunken, loud, amazing time.

What a dizzying whirl the past couple of days have been since returning to Arx! Amazing how much of a difference time can make...some, I recognized. Most I did not. While having an eye to renewing old friendships, I have mainly worked on cultivating ones, and have been quite fortunate in meeting so many worth knowing. Some, naturally, have made a stronger impression than others, but it is good to see our Redrain kin as they should be - hearty, healthy, and fun to be around.

Guard duties about our grounds and the Halfshav manor have been quiet, of late. A good thing. There has been one fellow I've seen in passing several times who loiters about. He doesn't seem the nefarious sort, but I would like to speak with him, next I see him. Perhaps he has an interest in work with the Redrains.

A good spar was had with the giant named as Agnarr. The brute is no stranger to combat, and his size and strength are something to be hold. Tis a shame I had not the chance to recruit him unto the Guards of House Halfshav.

Relationship Note on Morrighan
I had commissioned a pair of pants be made for me by Morrighan. I was unsure at first, even though I have seen her shop. I was concerned if linen was a suitable choice but this blasted heat! Leather pants suit a purpose but staying cool is not it! The fit was perfect, the linen surprisingly durable as is the seams. To say the least, I am incredibly pleased by my purchase. Morrighan's skill surpassed my expectation and her price was more than fair. I gave her extra on top of what was owed as a token of my gratitude. I will be certain to use her again in the near future. My shirts are looking a touch ratty these days...
