What a fun way to learn more about the other cultures and to sample their wears!

Did you know that beetle carapaces mix into red paint? I do now thanks to Lady Medeia's lecture on paint this week.

It would seem some additional expertise is required for the rebuilding of Artshall. The craftmen seem to know what they're doing, but those who manage the shipments and oversee the entire oppertation seem to be in a little over their heads. I'm certain the Laurents will get it taken care of. They always do.

The wedding was a beautiful celebration of love, uniting two souls in a moment of pure joy and hope for the future.

As the autumn breeze sweeps through the streets of Arx, the leaves rustle and fall from their trees, blanketing the ground with a tapestry of oranges, yellows, and reds. The air is crisp and cool, carrying the scent of spiced cider and pumpkin pies from the bakeries nearby. As I walk through the city, I feel a sense of nostalgia and peace wash over me, as if the changing of the seasons is bringing new possibilities and opportunities for growth. The world around me is transforming, shedding its old skin and embracing the beauty of change. I can't help but feel a sense of excitement for what is to come, both in my personal life and in the world around me.

The resilience and ingenuity of the people of Arx have always been our greatest assets, and I am confident that we will continue to overcome any obstacles that come our way.

How delightful to be back in the city again, though my wandering has given me the ability to look upon each street as if it were new. How priceless the gift of fresh eyes and what a blessing to know that one need only travel to find all the joy of discovering home anew. How many conflicts might we avoid in life if we could at will recall that simple trick? To step back, take a moment and simply reassess the situation anew? Fresh eyes. How funny that I should consider it often when looking at the social intricates of the world but forget it in the small pleasures, the little things like the joyous song of a bubbling fountain?

We aspire ourselves to such gilded heights but those little things, the stolen moments of normalcy? They seem to slip by, lost in the hub-bub of a crowd, a juicy piece of gossip, the latest fashion. It's something I'd like to keep in mind going forward. A new challenge for myself with each new day. To find one remarkable utterly normal moment to savor and enjoy, to cherish. To serve as an anchor.

Today's Moment: The crisp scent of a freshly peeled apple.

And I was not disappointed by Lady Greenmarch's secret-telling event. I was right about the quality of gifts - and the guests were second to none. I hope that everyone came away lighter for having shared a secret or two with Monique.

The upcoming gifting event with Lady Greenmarch is something I have been looking forward to since she first proposed the idea. Not only because she gives the best gifts (as I can attest), but because the Whisper House's gardens are finally free of snow and I can be outside without risking losing a toe or a finger to frostbite!

I just know it will be utterly grand.

I have always enjoyed events put on by Baroness Acantha and the Snow Ball didn't disappoint. She is such a welcoming host, and clearly spared no expense on the lovely decorations and gifts. Her musicians were as lively a group as I could have wished, and I believe I may be sore from the dancing for days!

What a wonderful gala! I missed the previous year's Mirror Masquerade, but this one was a whirl of splendor, colour, costume and conversation that I won't soon forget.

I am also eternally grateful to Master Apollo Oakwood who crafted my mask, and to Mistress Petal Penrose who crafted the gown and slippers to go with it. I would be nowhere at all without master craftsmen like them, and it thrills me to be able to wear the treasures they have made for me in public.

Whenever we meet, I always come away with something new. Planned or unplanned, my time with her is never boring, and I love that about her.

I love nothing more than seeing my fellow people making merry. It's easy to forget merriment exists in the deluge of serious business, deep thoughts in the whites, and diplomatic crises across the realm.

So it pleases me to no end that I can walk into the Queensrest, the Ambassador Salon or any public house in the city and find some group, however small, reminding the other patrons - and the world at large - that there is still fun to be had.

The restored memorial at Merchant's Gate is a work of art - on the part of not only those who restored it, but those who crafted it long ago. I never thought that such an ancient weathered thing could be so beautiful, but I was mistaken. The love and dedication in the work of those who have made it new again is obvious, and it is a captivating reminder of our difficult history. The memorial should be seen by everyone, at least once.

The birds in Whisper House do not like me.

I can't imagine why this is, but it's rather a disappointment. SometimesI would like to watch the beauty of nature at work, but all I get for my trouble is a sore pecked finger and the nagging feeling that the bird knows something about me which I don't know.

Relationship Note on Pharamond

Lord Pharamond Ashford is a perfect gentleman and a perfect tutor. No matter how much I falter, he never loses his patience or good humour. Nor does he allow training to become a game and lose its usefulness.

In short, I love him.

Relationship Note on Monique

The Storybook Soiree was everything I hoped it would be, and much more besides. Experiencing the stories and costumes in all their glory was tremendous fun. I feel myself lucky to have Mo as a patron, because I was able to help to make the night what it was.

But mostly because she is utterly brilliant.

Relationship Note on Monique

The gods have all blessed me with Lady Monique Greenmarch. She is alike me in so many ways, and unlike in so many others, but we get along like old friends and being in her company is an absolute delight. I am excited to see what her patronage will bring to my life, and even more, what her friendship will bring.
