Relationship Note on Thorley

I have to admit, I am incredibly curious about these dawnstones you mention, especially after finding a blue-green one said to be from Escuma. Would ir be possible to arrange a viewing of these? You know, for the sake of my art making unique jewelry?

Relationship Note on Thorley

I feel in the face of all the upheaval I have heard and seen recently in people's relationships I should write it down that my own bond and word remains strong. As a point of note I've even reached out to the Dominus and archlector of Limerance to seek guidance. For we wish to reaffirm our marriage if it needs be, now that our lives have become infinitely more complicated. Elevated. I still find it weird though.

Hopefully our reaffirmation will help some who are struggling. Do not let despair win. Do not let the darkness in. Look to the Hall of Heroes for inspiration on lasting love, lasting connections, let it strengthen you. It does myself. I hope that my strengthening of my vows with Thorley will do something similar.

As was offered to me, let me offer it to you: Should you need any help with the massive amount of paperwork you're about to have land in your lap, let me know! I can help you figure it out.

The best tip, really, is to find people who really enjoy the bits you don't. I don't know where I'd be without Lys's tireless love of mercantilism and ledgers.

Relationship Note on Thorley

I find myself in a wholey unexpected world I never thought I would be apart of. Nor even strived for. All I have ever done is strive to do my best, make those I work for look the best with the skills I bring. Yesterday my husband, Thorley, and I went to a feast to celebrate Harthall's new barony. Thorley is sword, so it was no surprise to get an invite. There are no hint or tell what was to happen and I dare say that the Farshaw's and Harthall's managed to blindside us both. Ironic, then, that our house name is Farwatch.

Despite being blindsided by this turn of events, I welcome the challenge they bring. I will support my husband and help him in building up this reclaimed land given to him. I am proud, too, that he managed to not curse too much when they sprung the news on us. I am glad that he has been recognized for all he has done. For my own part I know he will shine. Even if we may stumble a bit on the way. Someone said building up a House is like a child. So far I'm doing okay with that. Luckily I have a partner I can trust and who trusts me.

I wonder what my parents who say? I know they would be proud, of course, but I rather imagine my dad rolling his eyes and saying, "Don't trip over your fancy dresses now." I'll try not to Papa. I'll try not to.

Relationship Note on Thorley

For what Orvyn and I have done today, I hope in a decade you will not loathe me for it. It was no easy task to go through with the decision, and there is some selfishness in why I did what I did. For different reasons. I admit that and may the gods forgive me for it.

At the same time, I wanted a man who I knew I could rely on. Who I knew Orvyn will be able to rely on. I know your shoulders are heavy with the burdens you have already carried. And I know I have not made that any better by handing you even *more* responsibility.

You are the strongest man I know, cousin.

And then it was done. Such planning, and yet it all fell into place so easily that one must thank the gods for their guidance and hand upon it all. It is a pleasure to welcome a new Baron, the Lord Thorley Farwatch to the peerage.

Such a delight to see Sir Thorley in his element, for he is every bit the Sword one could hope for.

Especially cutting down someone trying to slay me first. Thanks to his quick action, I have nary a scratch.

I have to say I am quite the lucky woman. Despite the ups and downs, I wouldn't change anything. And thank you, Lady Khanne. I wasn't exactly thinking to announce things this way, but Thorley is quite skilled at pleasant surprising and delighting me.

Relationship Note on Thorley

A bet is a bet.

There once was a girl from near Whitehold
Who grew up to become ever so bold
Then along came a man
She quickly became a fan
He wooed her with gifts and with words
The likes of which she had never heard
Next thing you know their neighbors are in woe
For they certainly never get any sleep

Relationship Note on Thorley

*An excerpt from a letter to Sir Thorley Sandreef, from Prince Ainsley Grayson.*

However, there was line in your journal I would like to address (and I'll do this publicly as well). I am loathed to be labeled 'the chosen Champion of Gloria'. This suggests an exclusivity that I do not claim. While it is true that Gloria has touched my life, I am not the only one she has touched. Whether you believe that it was a figurative or a literal hand in my life and the lives of others. I am not the only one beloved by Gloria.

She is like a stern mother with many children and she loves them all equally. There are a lot of us and many who know her better than I. Blessed Cassandra, I would wager, has a closer relationship with Chivalry than I. Brother Preston as well.

We- not I -are Gloria's Champions and her Beloved.

It is hard to believe how quickly the right person can change ones mind on so many things. Or how the right person shows up just when they're needed most. And you didn't know what you wanted, or needed, till it was right there in front of you.

Relationship Note on Thorley

The First Blossom Festival was beautiful and I was lucky enough to go with Thorley. Despite the things to come I decided to take a planter with me. When I am away with the Blades I know my brother will tend it for me. I do love green growing things. So it is likely no surprise that a tree was planted as well.

In good company Thorley and I planted an oak sapling. He gave it an old sea blessing of shells and water. For my own part I asked the spirits to bless the tree. And let it grow tall and strong and it's roots deep and thick. I plan to visit it again as it grows. Perhaps so I do not lose it I will leave a market of some kind. The wood is still far too soft and young for marking.

The festival brought with it mirth and, for me, great surprise in numerous ways. I met the King and was introduced even. To be honest I'm pretty sure I could have made a tomato jealous when I looked up and saw him there. For all my soldier training I am no lady or skilled in etiquette. But I think I deported myself properly before his Majesty.

I look forward to see our planting grow.

Relationship Note on Thorley

You surprise me, dear knight. Make me question the things I've held too, to protect others. How simple it seemed only a short while ago. The future was something that was there, but I didn't worry about it. I'm young yet after all. But you make me think about potential futures beyond the next contract, the next fight, the next drink. I think this is a good thing, this door you have opened. I suppose we shall walk through and see.

I think it's safe to say that less distraction and more focus in the days ahead, at least with what's important, is probably the wiser course of action.

That being said, I don't think focus will come easily.

Relationship Note on Thorley

A favor can inspire us from the frivolity of the tourney pitch to the grim oppression of the fog of war during the most dire of battles. I think there are few things more knightly than keeping the favor that most inspires you in dark times as well as the light.
