Relationship Note on Simone
An intriguing woman with a spine of steel. Though I've known her for years, I've come to understand that I don't -really- know her. Her grace and charm carry me out of dark places and bring a little of the old Jamie back. My cousin by marriage, yes, but someone I may one day call a true friend. Somehow, I'll have to persuade her to forget this idea of political marriage, though. I can't imagine the woman who'd take the seat beside me, good man or no. Too many sleepless nights, too many dreams.

Relationship Note on Simone
Time spent with my cousin Simone is always enjoyable. She is my cousin, but we are as close as siblings. (And, given the tempestuous relationship between some siblings, some might say even closer than that.)
Her son Myrddin is progressing well in his chivalry lessons. He thinks they are swordsmanship lessons, but the lessons of sportsmanship and honor are more important and his work with his wooden blade. And Matilda the newest arrival is simply darling. I will never have children of my own, but I hope to leave my mark on the next generation through my "nephew" and "niece."

Relationship Note on Simone
I could not be prouder of my cousin, Marquessa Simone, whom the Faith holds in such high regard. Many believed she sacrificed much to join the Greenmarchers and to bring peace between the Telmarch and the Greenhaven. But the truth is that she has worked since that day in the way I have long known her to: To bring peace, build bridges, and further the gods' virtues on Aion. Time and again, she has given of her personal time and resources to further good works on behalf of the Faith.
Marquessa Simone is thus proof that one need not be a disciple or godsworn to do right by the gods. Each of us can venerate them in our works and ways in our lives. The favor she has received is well-earned and well-deserved. But most of all, I know she did it and would do it again, even if no rise in her esteem was her reward.

Relationship Note on Simone
Autumn sets the moment when the world comes alive again. Strange as it may seem, the turn of the seasons marks a beginning in the time of harvest. We may begin the calendar in the lengthening after the darkest days of the year, but the statement of fall marking a new beginning again is perfectly apt, I think.
A proper white Lycene wine, good company, and the best of stories marked my evening. I cannot ask for better than this -- friendship in the most beautiful, soothing surroundings. Even if certain things said left me at a temporary loss for words, all in the best of ways. We shall laugh at this when October creeps away to November. Before the first snows dance on the air, I will be glad for the cozy tidings we laid in the month with.

Relationship Note on Simone
Time spent with my cousin Simone is always time well spent. With Simone as Marquessa and Voice of Greenmarch and me as an officer in the Silver Swords, our duties often keep us from seeing each other as much as we would like. But we are a good team together, and I owe her much for her support of my ongoing projects.
Greenmarch is fortunate to have a lady like Simone to lead them. And I am lucky to call her my family.

Relationship Note on Simone
I want to record a note that I have been a guest at the Greenmarch several times as of late, mainly due to my work with Lord Alessandro.
However, every time I have encountered the Marquessa there she has been nothing but the very picture of grace and gracious host. At our latest encounter, she was not only that, but also patient with me as I was busy losing a drinking game to her, which to be fair, she encouraged with her generous hospitality.
Nobility could not have a finer representative.

Relationship Note on Simone
I had a dream of Simone the last time I saw her. I wanted her to be safe and I wanted her child to be safe. I hoped that she was going to get out of the city before the raids started and the silence took over. I miss her so much. She was the woman I would cry on or the one who I would protect till my dying breath. We are not lovers, you understand, no, we may be the best of friends, though our letters would consist of flowery words and lovely sintementt. I think she would see if I just wrote her, or perhaps if I just waited till she contacted me. Would she be angry? Would she be angry at me for being gone so long? I miss her. She gave me perfume. She was and is a kind woman. I wonder where she is or how she is doing? I know it has been two years, but I hope she is not too cross with me.

I have had the tremendous pleasure to share the company of my cousin the marquessa several times over these last few days. To be sure, she may not quite remember one of them other than a hazy dream, she had enough drink. But the intimacy of family, the ability to speak freely and unguardedly is a unique pleasure in the world, especially the world of nobility.
I am heartened that although we may find ourselves with different oaths and last names, the Telmar family remains as strong as never.

Every member of the family that welcomes me back, I feel more complete. Soon I'll be whole. I'm so happy!
I've missed me.
Also Simone. I've missed Simmy so very much. And now I can forgive her, which is lovely. I had a horrible pain in my heart.
Unfortunately, our last visit was too brief. Lourche brought all the brandy just a fraction too late, and I had to make him put it all back.
It was a /lot/ of brandy.

We've been married five years, and I find myself drawn to her more closely with each passing day. She is inestimable, without peer in every way one can imagine. She is a true equal, and her strengths balance my weaknesses well. She is a voice of reason and calm, no matter how my blood might boil.
