As a new parent let me assure you that the absorbency of silk is quite lacking.
An object lesson Prince Samuel's nannies where very amused for me to learn the hard way when I insisted we try these silk diapers this nice man in the market sold me. They in turn informed me that I had to learn to change him myself.

I met Dame Leta Broadbent today, after hearing about her exploits in helping to save Vincere and Pietro from rotting on the field after they had died in the siege. I offered her the favor of House Igniseri for the melee in the Tournament of Roses, but Princess Seraphine had already offered favor. I withdrew it, not wanting to conflict with the Princess's favor.
However, I did offer her a like book akin to the favor being offered, for her service in helping to save my brother's bodies from rotting away. She wasn't comfortable for the offer, but I strongly feel that it will help me gain some closure over their deaths. I couldn't help them at their time of most need, I was powerless to do so, but this... this is within my power, and I do hope she claims it at some point.

I haven't been that bruised by a woman's hand in far too long.
Now that I've given a start to anyone reading my whites, I sparred with her hand to hand when I've the skill of an infant in that arena and it was a wondrous fun fight even if we both were a pulped mess at the end.
Lee's a fantastic woman and Sera's a lucky one to have her.

Dame Leta Broadbent is a newly knighted vassal sworn to House Velenosa. We met in the training center and she did a number on me. So, it seems like she's probably a good addition to Velenosa's cadre of knights! She's a fine fighter - sturdy and well-built, confident, good footwork. She's been tasked with learning more about the Lyceum and I've offered my help should she take me up on it.

Strong big sword wielding woman who decided to make my life hell when I asked her for some athletic training. Apparently just because I am in good shape does not mean I am in the best shape, or all that athletic. I am glad she did help me, though, and I look forward to more meetings with her.

She's a regular face seen about the city. That warm and pleasant sort that all these mainlanders seem to be infected with. One thing I know of is she doesn't have the stomach to face some real horrors beyond the city wall. Just keep guarding those city gates Missy. Stay where it's safe.

Had a long winded discussion about weapons and bladework in the Grotto with Leta this evening, after a failed attempt to pair fight two other fighters.
It was a good learning experience (the fight), and an intriguing meeting (at the Grotto).
I hope the others didn't find us rude, but honestly, I didn't notice much beyond Leta.
What a remarkable person. I look forward to seeing her again.

A good fighter. And a pleasant person to talk to. Always looking for the next job. Find it hard to believe that one of her skill is still looking. People should beating down her door offering her a job.
I think she is the first friend I have made in Arx. I have no idea if she feels the same. But I enjoy the time I spend with her.
