When I met Iseulet, I was pleasantly surprised by her ambition, even more than her beauty. She had drive and passion and she puts both into everything that she does. She applied that same drive to wooing me and securing my family's permission to marry me and make me her Marquis.
There is more than a flickering flame of affection for her -- I should find something that is unique and special to give to her as a gift. I guess that starts with finding out the best things that she enjoys. It is a path ahead for me to follow, and may it run long and through a great many lands. A song to be started, a symphony to be composed.

I appreciate your thoughts on the matter.
If marriage requires compromise, it is perhaps not for me. I have been told that compromise is an adjustment of conflicting interests as gives each adversary the satisfaction of thinking she has got what she ought not to have, and is deprived of nothing except what was justly his due. If so, I believe I've neither the authority to demand from someone what I ought not have nor to the temerity withhold from another what is justly theirs.
I wish you nothing but joy in discovering that which I have neither the time nor the inclination to seek.

I do not love this animal, nor the cat.
If said cat decides to excoriate me again when I reach next for one of my volumes and tomes under the bed I'll have glass shards embedded into the windowsill as a kind of prophylactic measure, for I know that doom-laden feline doesn't come in through the door. He's too smart for that; he knows I'd see him coming.
They disturb the balance of my home, the peace of my sanctuary, one likes to clamber up onto all sorts of shelves and things and walk his 'toebeans' while slick in ink all across my missives, and the other? Other than his irreverent ways of pooping everywhere and being against the prospect of being trained, wants attention. All the time.
I don't have that kind of time,

I dispatched that thuggish chair in brutal fashion, so that all other furniture may hear of my arrival.

I met Lady Iseulet Blackshore the other night. It is the first time I had met her since I first signed up with the Empyrean. She was a charming delight to visit with, and I enjoyed our time together. I look forward to working with her on the future with the Empyrean.
