Relationship Note on Isabeau
I am ever so proud of my cousin and all of her success. She hosted a joust and it was spectacular. From the decor to the entertainment, I was literally on the edge of me seat the entire time.
All of the riders were impressive athletes and for a moment I wondered if I should seek the tutelage of a trainer but quickly wiped the thought from existence.
Bravo cousin! I look forward to many more festivities.

I think Lady Isabeau may be on to something!
The best way to stifle gossip is to draw attention to the subject of the gossip by demanding that the gossiping cease and by shaming the behavior of the gossipers!
They will definitely stop gossiping and will instead think about their poor life choices!
They also absolutely won't think about any vested interest Lady Isabeau may have in silence!

It was a joy to welcome (now) Lady Isabeau to my former family, and fitting to participate in a run of The Gauntlet to mark the occasion. As it turns out, I turned in the top score and was richly rewarded with a voucher for a diamondplate weapon crafted by the incomparable Dame Ida Ferron.
I am pleased to say that I believe I have an excellent use for the voucher and that I look forward to seeing what she creates.

Ah, I've done it. It's come to my attention that an entry that was intended for my black journal was placed in the white journal. I'm so grateful for everyone's concern.
I am joyously awaiting the marriage of my sister, and looking forward to an entire manor of bouncing baby nephews and nieces that I can spoil with chocolate, spun sugar, obnoxiously loud toys, and lots of Auntly hugs and kisses.
Isabeau, change makes us stronger - once we adapt, and we will adapt to this too!

This was not always so, but it has become so during my time in the capital. I realize, however, that reaching out for companionship is not a mistake. Denying it is a mistake.

Relationship Note on Isabeau
These past two weeks I've had the distinct good fortune of working alongside Princess Isabeau on a number of minor projects. During this time of cooperation toward a shared goal it offered me an opportunity to gain insight into her highness and I've certainly been impressed by her diligence. Often work can be a mind-numbing affair for the vast majority of us, but collaborating aside the princess has provided me a glimpse into the industrious nature of one of the Oathland's finest.
Often quick to provide a smile and quicker still to offer the generosity of a compliment, she has proven to be someone that I will eagerly aid in the future purely based upon her good nature alone. Of course during our work we encountered some obstacles, but she overcame each of them with pluck which is its own form of inspiration.
She has shown an interest in assisting my own House when or however she is capable and I can see no reason that the Hydra would turn away such an amiable friend. Nor do I find a reason that I should deny myself friendship with one such affable person, because friends are great! Not once has she ever revealed an inkling of animosity toward myself regarding the past actions of my cousin, as it should be. For those simple displays of righteousness, she has revealed herself as the child of the Oathlands that she was born to.

You are correct Princess Isabeau, in that Champions are of course the normal and preferred course of action when a challenge is issued. I also assure that at no point in time was I ever, even if I were to face Prince Ardoin myself, ever going to use Elvesbane.
I have other perfectly good blades for such a thing and would not sully that weapon in such fashion.

Princess Isabeau returned at nearly the same time as Prince Beaumont, it seems.
I only remember talking briefly with her when visiting Sanctum, or when the Valardins came up to Telmarch, but she was always such a kind presence. I don't know if her and the Princess were as close as I was with Lily growing up, but they seem to know each other well, even now as adults.
She has a different manner than the Princess. A bit more direct, perhaps. Hard to get a finger on it exactly. But seeing Prince Beaumont with his sisters made me grateful for my own. Honor may well be the strength of the Oathlands, but the families are the backbone.

Relationship Note on Isabeau
My attendance at the Valardin held ball came late, but I was nevertheless greeted with the courtesy I have grown accustomed to from that house. Many years my younger, she was gracious in her dance with me, despite an otherwise mediocre performance on my part. I am not often given to such gatherings, but I must admit, against my better sense, to a pleasant evening overall.
