I finally got the chance today to talk to Dame Astraea about Faith and family, knighthood and devotion, and it was an endlessly fascinating conversation. An unusually warm, humble, and forthright sort who was happy to answer my many - as usual - questions, and become another of the Godsworn to inspire me. Culminating in a spar to honor Gloria, it was truly the sort of occasion that can put one in a cheerful mood with words of wisdom to live by. A truly gracious soul.

I rarely write in praise of my siblings. It's something that goes oft goes unsaid but appreciated.
Today I am feeling remarkably sappy. (No Scholar, I'm not Astraea trying to break into my whites again. Gods.)
My twin has come so far from the overexcited yet terribly shy child I remember--stalking the Valardin grounds where we fostered in search of a certain prince.
She's a true warrior now, devoted to the gods and willing to put her life on the line for Redrain's sake. Yet despite her skills, Raea remains as humble and sweet as ever.
I've been blessed to have her as my twin. Excuse me while I throw up now.
Affection is nauseating.

As I have been thusly banned from publishing my poem on Renta by my beloved twin, I am tempted to challenge her to another duel.
I should have challenged her for not attending the debate on twins with me. And for forcing me to buy Renta another birthday peasant. She's what fifty now? How many presents does one woman need to hoard?
Because I am petty, I will offer a snippet of my now discarded poem.
My hands ache, longing as I do to carve
her story into stone!--for she is beauty
and horror, at ease in this imperfect form:
a face divine; a body lost to damnation.
