A year has gone by since I stood at the altar of the Thirteenth and spoke the vows I wrote last minute because I could not come up with the right things to say or the right way to express my feelings. A year of changes. Hope and fear, of sadness and triumph, of sorrow and joys beyond belief. A year of learning how to be someone else's partner and lean on them in return because not everything requires you to go it alone. A year of knowing that nothing will ever be the same again, and understanding that that doesn't have to be a bad thing.
To another year, and so many more after.

Relationship Note on Mydas
We will be married a full year this month. I believe we've fulfilled our obligations and you've officially become my longest marriage to date. What else is there to look forward to now? Perhaps we should just call it quits when its on a high note?

Relationship Note on Fergus
Fergus Redrain
We met inside the Redrain Study. It was a fluke, really, a meeting arranged due to the complaints of sisters. Freja and I decided that we would exchange siblings because we always had the greatest ideas when we were together. I am not sure how she fared out regarding Valerius, though I am almost certain she threatened to hit him over the head.
I on the other hand met Fergus, and we talked within that study for hours. He smiled, which I heard was a rare sight at that time, and it was warm and gentle. He was deeper than what he allowed people to see, softer than he wished anyone to understand. He was someone I could speak to about anything, to gauge an honest response regardless of topic. Even after that original meeting, we met often to share a drink when we could before life took hold of both of us, and for those memories I will always have a soft spot for The Spirits.

Relationship Note on Barric
I have been feeling emotional lately, reminiscing of days long gone, when things seemed simpler. So for my first memory, I will write down one of Barric Grayson.
I can not remember the event, a ball of some sort held inside the Velenosa estate. There were so many people there, and I was new to the city and I believe that Calista introduced us. We danced, as is proper, but it certainly was not the dance that was memorable. The three of us sat in an alcove and spoke throughout the evening. We laughed and drank so much that we had not even noticed the rest of the people around us had left. We then had the greatest of ideas, we were going to sneak into the Palace for no reason other than to see if we could. It might not have been the greatest ideas considering, but the three of us were feeling quite brave at this point and we could find no fault in our decision. We tried, and failed among the giggles, to sneak through the city. We made it all the way to the gates of the Palace and then... We turned around and went our separate ways home.
It seems like a lifetime ago, doesnt it? We never did break in.

I don't think there ever is a proper time to bring a child into the world. I dont think there will ever be a time where there is not some threat, some concern, some issue blocking the way. You bring a child into the world despite everything going on around you because it is how we find hope and gain the ability to defeat each problem plaging you because now you must.
You are perfect, Vittore, and along with your father I vow to make sure you flourish in your own way, in whatever decisions you make with your time here.

The support from other family members to have children so mine could be surrounded by peers without my needing to physically provide these peers is beautiful and heart warming.
I have been quiet throughout the last few months, perhaps because I wished to preserve this to memory. I wished it to be a personal experience between my husband, myself, and our child. With the time coming soon for the birth, I thought it time to preserve it also to the journals. I have always wished there were more to read about my parents, more to cling to than memories so I am keeping that in mind for my baby firefly.
Throughout my pregnancy, I have tried to stay positive regardless of the discomforts that are the norm with growing a small person, always turning to the good. Yes my feet hurt but.... Yes, I am tired but... But I am protecting and nurturing and providing for another person. This person has made me look at my limitations in a different light, made me see my strengths as more than such. They have made me wish to be even better in all things, and it is my hope that I will be someone that he or she can be proud of even if I am no longer around to make them so. Time will tell, and soon you will be here to share everything with.

I like to think I have the best sot of siblings. We are all different in many ways, but there is a deep bond between the four of us that is unwavering. I would do anything for Leona, Galen, and Valerius, and I am certain this sentiment is shared.
On the other hand, Gordon will not have a brother or sister for some time and will have to settle for cousins.

Perhaps I have never done anything that was quite dangerous enough to require a will. Perhaps I don't own anything anyone would wish to have after I die. With the birth of our first child quickly approaching, I feel as if it is something I should do now in case I do not make it through.
My Will will be written within my Black Journal, and only that entry may be released upon my death to both my husband, Ettore Mydas Velenosa and to my sister Dame Leona Thrax. I name both as the executioners of my last desires.

I find that we as a family have failed Victus. Or perhaps we should thank him for believing that every woman he has ever seen automatically woke up that way and there was no assistance from these creams, powders, and lotions that seem to have caused a great deal of confusion. I like that idea better, so thank you Victus. Every compliment you have ever given me means just that much more now.

I find that I must give credit where credit is due.
After months of figuring it out, Ettore and I approached Mistress Mirari about rings to be made. We gave her our vision for what they should look like and while her designs were brilliant, the actual rings themselves turned out to be absolutely breathtaking. I could not have asked for a more beautiful piece of future, for the rings are more than simple pieces of jewelry.
