Lord Theron Mazetti is more than a Sword.
He is industrious, savvy, motivated, and damn does he have nice hair that shines with the light from within. He's so much more as well and, above all else, he's exceptionally loyal to his House and the duties of it. Probably why they stuck him with a blade called Allegiance. He's also the Minister of Allegiance. The guy's stuck being loyal, okay?
Additionally he hasn't murdered anyone and required that we pay his fine while he writes a few empty words. So he's got that going for him, which is nice.

That stretch of land between the Oathlands and Lyceum was witness to a grand pursuit and a glimpse of how the Compact works. In that moment there were people, working together, to accomplish a goal. That goal was accomplished and then we realized, after the fact, that perhaps we should have slowed our pace enough to consider our actions. It was a valuable lesson to be learned, if one is willing to look at it as that.
It also taught another important lesson, I need to write to the Prince of Sanctum and offer him some tutelage on various shav'arvani dialects. Thankfully the supposed customary greeting that was learned wasn't an insult.
The hunt also taught us that Prince Talen knows exactly how to strike fear into a devout Oathlanders heart. With a joke.
We were quite fortunate to walk away from that hunt unscathed though and I'm thankful that because of it, I may have uncovered a name for my next daughter.

Word of mouth informed me that there was a new series of figurines released. The bauble reflecting that of Baroness Kima Saik, the Lioness of Southport, is an excellent representation. There is only one critique to be made regarding it, really. When I hold this thing in my hands, thinking about my best friend and former unerringly loyal Sword, I realize the one flaw in the design of the knick knack.
The Lioness of Southport would have wanted this thing to be about twenty five or maybe even thirty feet taller. Probably placed in the center of some open square or plaza. The foundation of Kima Saik was one built on unshakable confidence, skill, and much more.
That minor observation aside? It is a lovely figurine that I'll be thankful to have placed in my possession.
