Relationship Note on Valencia
She is a fine lady who will someday make a lord very happy, I do believe. A Princess of House Redrain, it was revealed in my presence that she is originally from the south and her husband had been the Redrain by birth. Apparently he once wrestled a bear; I assume successfully.
She is often quiet and reflective. I believe that to be a trait of the southern lady in her. It is suspicious, at best. Regardless, she is often agreeable company and a delight to share small talk with.

Relationship Note on Valencia
She wasn't born in the north, and of all my cousins she certainly looks the least like us.
It makes sense of course, she was born a Velenosa.
But that being said, my cousin-in-law has done more than I would have expected to become one of the family. She is family, she's a northerner now no question about it. I treat her the same as I would treat Kieran or Deva, and perhaps getting to know her when she came to Farhaven set the ground for being slightly more open minded to those i've met in the south since arriving here. Its hard to say. Either way, even if she is a short Lycene-born dress wearer, shes blood and kin now and I like that shes with the rest of the family once again.

She is one of those many beauties of Arvum. It happens, that her beauty blurs with the others and she disappears in the crowd. Though, each woman wants to stand out and be special. Princess Valencia Redrain tries very hard to come up as unique and extraordinary. Though, she overdoes it at times.

Valencia is refined and clever, which is only natural as she married out of House Velenosa and into our family. It's really such a shame that Angus died so soon. They even seemed to get along! She might be the complete opposite of what most expect from a stereotypical northerner, but it feels like she fits right in among the Redrain.

Princess Valencia Redrain is a diamond in the rough. Literally. Even though she doesn't seem to have a martial bone in her body, she more than makes up for it with a preternatural understanding for the social and political machinations that very few of the Redrain princesses have time or patience for. I shouldn't be surprised, for she is a Velenosan at heart after all.

She apparently believes that the king's affliction is a result of some weakness of mind or excessive grief which he could simply 'snap out of' if he truly desired. This strikes me as breathtakingly judgmental and unbecoming.

Cousin Valencia is sorely missed. She is utterly vivacious, and the North is richer for her there. I still have designs to steal her back, but she actually seems happy amongst the savages. Hopefully we won't find ourselves at too many odds, and can help each other with political endeavors.

Princess-Cousin Valencia is ever so-so lovely. Although the bears might've been fearsome and she's yet to understand the thrill involved in a hunt, she's a phenomenal woman when it comes to social graces and charm. She doesn't stray from proper etiquette, but the talk is juicy and engaging, her style sinful without being ribald, and she's been so helpful when it comes to things I wish to know, or do. I wanted to compare her to the best piece of pie in the Compact, since while I'm dictating this, I suddenly want pie, but she's really better than that.

The Northern Fox. I remember when she arrived in the north, everyone treated her as if she was some sort of exotic animal. She's small, delicate, and brilliant - everything that a northerner is not. And yet she's one of us - Angus loved her, of that I have no doubt. Princess Valencia was wed into the Redrain family in diplomatic marriage and that, it seems, was no small matter to Talen. To lose those so capable at playing the political games of the Lyceum was always a sad time. It nevertheless meant that every interaction held some measure of fresh intrigue, however, for the two lived in very different spheres of the world. Where before they took one another for granted at the palace, it was Talen's hope they would have more stories to tell each time they crossed paths, instead.

Princess Valencia Redrain married into the family from the Velenosa, and while I've only run into her a few times while on official business in Farhaven, she seems pleasant enough, and doesn't complain about the cold nearly as much as one might expect of a southerner. She doesn't seem to have a single martial bone in her body, but she's got a grit all her own. It's too bad about the loss of her husband, Prince Angus. They seemed close, for an arranged marriage.

Oh, cousing Valencia, sent away to the North and managing to flourish despite the... north. She actually seems fond of it, so it might actually be worth exploring a bit more, instead of writing off. Having first met this Redrain Princess at the Ambassador's before the King's Rest, Maximilian isn't sure what to think of her. Announcing that there was far too much decorum in the capital for her liking, and giving her desire that he was as dreadful as the name Count Darkwater suggested, he feels around the woman he can really be himself around her.
