Relationship Note on Orazio

Let it be known to all far and wide to never underestimate Legate Orazio. I admit my defeat by his hands. He is the pun master.

The Heart of Solace. The list of nicknames I can attribute to the Legate only grows. I hope the Purveyor of Frowns likes the new nickname provided to him by the populace. He's certainly earned it.

You heard my concerns and eased my troubles. We are all fortunate to have you as Legate, the Dominus more so.
Thank you Orazio.

Relationship Note on Orazio

Father Zio's a wonderfully understanding guy for a Legate of the Faith, even if he doesn't seem to like his nickname. Still. He's making this all possible. And he shares my wicked sense of humor I think where Brother Alley Cat (Aleksei to others) comes in. Here's hoping for a few expletives thrown in the ceremony for flavor.

I am not sure on him. He blames the whole for the actions of one. As I can tell, anyways. Weird. Will have to consider him more. He seems filled with good intentions. Judgement is perhaps questionable. Undecided.

Relationship Note on Orazio

The last time I wrote about Father Orazio in my white reflections, I had only just met him. Half a year ago now. "Pretty funny for a priest," I called him.

Well. Now /I'm/ a priest. (And /very/ funny for one, most definitely.)

It's hard to find the right words to fully encapsulate everything Orazio's done for me since I met him. I'll try these: I wouldn't be a Godsworn priest now if it weren't for him. I wouldn't have listened to the calling. I wouldn't have found the courage. (Leap into battle? Easy. Recite vows in front of a crowd? Terrifying, even when the crowd is full of loved ones and well-wishers.) I think he believed that I could make a life in the Faith long before I did, but he never pushed it or forced it onto me; he only let me know that he believed I was capable of more than I thought I was. It's not that the standards were low enough to reach -- hah hah, let me tell you something about Orazio's standards -- but that he simply stated quite clearly where they were, that I was capable of hauling myself up if I chose to, and then he waited. He's very patient, you know. He can sit there and stare at you with that /look/. In my case, he was patient for months.

I'd like to think that it was worth it for him. Being patient. Because I can still remember the look on his face when I told him I wanted to take my vows. And why. I think the why was the most important. The heart of the matter. After all, I wasn't exactly the most /anticipated/ convert.

I tell people a lot that Orazio is funnier than anyone realizes, and it's true. He's funny. And he's been there for me every time I've needed him, even if what I needed was him telling me to do better.

He's my best friend. May the gods bless everyone with such a friend and mentor.

Relationship Note on Orazio

The path our lives take can often find us in surprising places. Nearly twenty years ago, Legate Orazio was there when my mother was lost to me in an act of violence without purpose or meaning. A devotion of Limerance and beautiful singer, I could find little reason in the loss of her and a bitter understanding of reality grew within me. It was Legate Orazio, then only a godsworn priest of the pantheon, who helped me through my feelings of regret and anger.

Two decades later and he is the Legate of Concepts and I am the Archlector of Lagoma. We do not always see eye-to-eye on all matters of doctrine or purpose, but I trust him and count him as a friend. I am glad to find him again here in Arx.

Relationship Note on Orazio

The words of the Archlector suffused the defenders - suffused me. We stand for the Sentinel and all the Pantheon, against the silence. Our voices will be heard, and my steel will sing to the abyss.

...even if I must pass beyond, to shout at its very threshold.

Relationship Note on Orazio

The Legate's strength is truly a marvel. I can see how such a man has been chosen to serve the Faith in such a high capacity.

He was entirely what I was not expecting.

It's a surprising fact that still this city holds this much mystery as to offer me a light such he in such a dark time as this. There are many things to be thankful for today. He is at the top of this list.

Relationship Note on Orazio

I used to listen to Orazio talk about the Gods as a young girl, unable to sit still but still loving to listen. Event today I still like to sit down with him and have a good conversation, he has much wisdom and advice to offer. I would be a fool to dismiss him and I would never want to. I love my uncle dearly.

Relationship Note on Orazio

A good man, through and through, and great at what he does. Sometimes he speaks harshly, but it has never been without merit and considerable thought behind it. I have no doubt he will stand up for what he believes is right, and he will stand -tall-

Relationship Note on Orazio

I had thought he was a scary man, but he is kind, and wise. I deeply enjoyed getting the chance to talk to him. His little bird was especially endearing, if loud. I was struck by his willingness to listen and guide me, I have always been fond of the Saiks, but Legate Orazio is a special soul.

Relationship Note on Orazio

I met the Father Priest at the baths and at first I was real nervous cause I don't always ... well. I just get real nervous is all. But he wasn't just nice and polite, he said some real important things. I never thought much of these God's you have when they're just stories to me. But maybe they aren't just stories after all. Maybe like the spirits they work to remind us of things we might forget otherwise, and what's really important. He reminded me that sometimes the hardest thing you can do is just to have faith in other people, but it's also the most important thing.

I'm glad Aldwin was chosen to be Dominus instead of Orazio.

Imagine the trouble I could cause with stories of that man before his entry into the priesthood...

Not that I'd do that to a dear friend.

Relationship Note on Orazio

Since the first dance we shared at the Valardin Ball, I have found the Legate to be nothing but intelligent, charming, and personable. He also understands what it is to be bound by duty and how, sometimes, those duties can stand in the way of other things one might want.

It's also wonderful to see that a lifetime in the Faith has done nothing to diminish his dancing skills. You can take the man out of the Lyceum, but you can't take the Lycene out of the man.
