Sometimes someone makes a damned compelling argument! (And I know what you're all thinking, but I'm a married man now and I have to wait at least a month before I go back to *those* habits)
Anyway, I picked Lady Khanne as my patron. If it doesn't work out, I'll just try again.
I'm fairly convinced it'll work out fine though. The fact that she even offered after all the shit I've bothered her with says a lot.
Start preparing yourselves for some amazing couches, Arx. You're not going to believe how fantastic they'll be. Just sitting on them will bring a joy akin to your second time. (Because face it, it's pretty rare for someone to actually enjoy their first time... usually it's just weird and awkward and over very quickly)

I had the pleasure of meeting the Lady Khanne Halfshav thanks to the suggestion of my wise cousin Calypso. She is a rather friendly sort and a solid intellectual. For entirely my own reasons, and with the help of Calypso, I'm very lucky to have met her. Her wisdom has been most helpful!

The Khanne is doing great things. She doesn't always draw a lot of attention, being on the quiet side, but she knows her stuff and is capable in this subtle and yet still very strong way.

My dearest friend, the moment we met we knew it was going to be that way. That friendship has only strengthened since then and I am grateful and thankful for all the laughter and joy she's brought into my life. I look forward to the mischief we'll get into upon my return and her return to full health!

Khanne Halfshav has wedged herself in like a spear thrust against a tree with great strength. Try as you might, she seems impossible to dislodge. Which is probably a good thing since she'll need that fierce determination for what she's planning to do. Spirits and Gods watch over her. I'm growing too fond of the woman to want anything to happen to her.

I would live in the Spring as long as I could. I would linger there and never truly grow, never truly change, in the thrill and the life of it. I will think back to the Spring often, and miss it I am sure. I will remember it with laughs and sly grins and warm smiles. I will remember the rain and the muddy path. It is difficult to leave behind, when I didn't recognize it for what it was for too long. I will not revisit this Spring again in anything but memory.
But Summer stretches out ahead with its own promises of growth, of long days to fill twisting roots deep into the earth before Autumn arrives. I welcome the Summer.

I sat to write of Sigurd, and yet everything I thought of came out as written of Lady Khanne Halfshav; I will write on Sigurd another time.
Lady Khanne Halfshav is the North--she is no -less- or -more- Northern than any other Halfshav, I imagine, nor her liegelords, nor her House's vassals(to be more or less Northern would not be Northern enough). I was raised, partially-but-mostly, in Whitehold. Halfshav territory. But it is not until speaking to many Lords of the North regarding a personal project that I earned her ire. There is a fullness in her ire, a resoluteness, that is entirely Northern--and yet there was one evening where I had yet to earn this(perhaps fully-deserved ire); there, as an acquaintance, a stranger, she was vibrant and lively.
Imagine then what an ally she would be--every time I sell my position to the North, I invite her along--it is in the hopes that I may convince her still. The North is as House Redrain is--as House Halfshav is, as Khanne is. Hard to win over, but loyal beyond death, if so.

Relationship Note on Khanne
I'd heard stories of the Ancient Stones in the northern part of the city, and during my investigation I had the good forture to run into one Lady Khanne Halfshav. A more calm and collected woman with an open mind I've yet to meet. Her intriguing beliefs and desire to learn and share will lead to many stories shared between the two of us, I do hope.
