Things I did today without screaming:
Had a meeting requested by Octavia and Ford, which ran for several hours and was quite productive.
Spent the evening drinking and talking with my father, whose advice I actually found very wise and plan to take.
Interesting times indeed.

Every once in a while, the surprises that one comes across are not disappointing but truly wonderful.
I'd forgotten how much I loved my family, when they let me. I don't mean my husband and children, for I don't forget that.

There is so much happening, and I am overwhelmed to the very marrow. Unsure where even to begin.
What is clear is that the world is changing. That another friend has been lost, will be buried, one that I believe was dearer to me than I dared to realize until it was too late. I am deeply disturbed by what happened to my Uncle Niccolo, especially so soon after losing Uncle Tomasso. Niccolo and my father survive their other two brothers, and I do hope they continue to for some time to come.

The little shop in Ivy Hollow, which I'd never been to before, had some absolutely beautiful items. I bought two dresses that I'm delighted with.
