Princess Alis was kind enough to set us up with a chateau in Mount Blancbier after winning the honeymoon race. It has been a relaxing adventure. Truly the hospitality of the Wyrmguard family in the area is unmatched.
I highly recommend dinner in a wine or whiskey cellar for anyone who has never done so. It was a welcomed change of pace.

This is a private thought but I thought it pertinent to share publicly. I am well aware of your reputation with the Crown and some of the Compact even still. You are seen as brash, selfish and even dangerous to some. And perhaps there was a time where that was true. But in the year and then some I have waited by your side, I have seen your true nature. You are passionately loyal to whatever you devote yourself to. I have seen you give selflessly over and over this past year. To the Shamans to the Faith, to my family and their causes and to yours. You have devoted your existence to making your wrongs right again and I could not be prouder of the redemption you've achieved through this.
Anyone who is humble enough to accept their punishments willingly, and take the opportunity to learn and grow from their mistakes, is a strong person in my eyes. None of us is perfect. It is how we step forward that makes us who we are.
I know you care very little about what others see you as, but I hope some day they will let your past transgressions go and see you for the man you are now.

It has been a year sense I walked the Hall of Heroes. It is incredible to me how much nuance I can make out now in the stories told there. I am beginning to understand the true strength of Humanity.

Its hard to believe that after all these years we finally lured you away from Southport and in to the city of Arx. I remember the first set of armor you ever made for me. It was a momentous occasion for me, my first set of commander's leathers. The hawk etched in to the back was so skillfully done, and the fit was perfect. When I went to the master leatherworker to thank him for his fine work, he almost accepted the praise. Almost. But when he revealed that the work was yours, I knew you were going to be special. We've grown together, parallel on sour separate paths in life. Just as I dedicate my all to my job and family, you are dedicated to your craft. I am honored to be your patron and I hope you will join us on campaigns to come. Your skill is unparalleled.

Relationship Note on Caelis
I have always thought fondly of my Cousin Caelis. My ally growing up, even if she is younger than I am. But distance grows two people apart some times. She was off with the Navy and I was called to Arx, putting a great distance between us. I can honestly say that now that our paths have once again aligned I am delighted to have her in my life. She is kind but firm, a more sensible approach to our families tendency towards martial discipline. And I cherish her for it.

Sometimes the plans we make are interrupted or rerouted. Just because the journey has taken a turn down a different path does not mean the destination will not be reached. If we must bide our time, then so be it. We move the moment the opportunity presents itself and not a second after.

Returning to the public training center this week was a humbling experience. I feel as though my clout as a General has some how managed to turn in to clout as a Champion. Which I'm sure is sorely disappointing to those face me n the training pit. I hold my own but truly a proper spar for me is fought between battalions and not individuals.
That said, I look forward to learning more personal combat.

I am very proud of my cousin Caelis and the way she has embraced life in Arx so thoroughly. She has always been a a strong and steadfast woman. I am glad my brother has gifted her the opportunity to not only represent our house in her good works and exemplary behavior, but now to be a Voice for us and speak with that authority. I hope she knows that she has my full support in this as well. We have always stood together and now we speak together as well.
In addition to being named Voice she was also promoted to the position of Admiral. I prefer to do the fighting on land, all things considered. I am glad to have her as Admiral to take care of all the military work done at sea. As she likes to say so frequently, I know she will lead our forces to safe harbors.
I look forward to all the strength and leadership she will show in these new roles.

I can not recall in all my time as General of Southport a more singular and fluid movement of unity in the Compact as we have witnessed today. Each ward defended fiercely. Each commander leading responsibly. Each soldier fighting with all their might. And all to the same goal.
I will continue to hold my faith in humanity and in the sharp steel we wield. Through these things, all is made possible.
