Relationship Note on Fortunato

While we met by chance in the Archives, I've seen enough evidence of his skill to be grateful for that. He's a talented artist, and I look forward to seeing what he does with pen and brush.

Relationship Note on Fortunato

It's not that we didn't get on well as children, but that ... well. We were children. Aureth was easy to relate to as a youngster, and Ianthe followed me everywhere...

Fort did his own thing, but as adults, connecting isn't so difficult and that's unusual given, in my experience, it's usually hard to make friends these days. Too many ways to misstep and for things to go wrong or to be offended by.

So it was good to feed my near-brother food, to make fun of our family in the most loving way possible, and trade stories and silly secrets as siblings might.

It was more than nice. I look forward to more moments as that.

Relationship Note on Fortunato

Truly my favourite Artist in Arx. Not only is Master Fortunato's work both thoughtful and beautiful, he is truly a delight to sit and chat with. His company is always welcome, and his opinions on each topic I have brought up with him have been particularly refreshing.

Relationship Note on Fortunato

Brother of Aureth Grayhope and a painter of considerable talent. I have been the accidental recipient of two of his paintings. While the subject matter has been startling, there is no faulting his ability with colour, or his eye for detail, or his willingness to capture images that others might pass over. He sees deeper, I think, and brings that to his canvasses.

Relationship Note on Fortunato

I can't believe my brother would consider so heartbreaking a thing to do as to take a precious gift, that a crafter's honest hands have slaved over, and consign it to the flames.

Relationship Note on Fortunato

(On a piece of paper shoved into her journal that clearly isn't from it)

Drawing:
A rat, gray-furred, bare-tailed, clasps pale paws around the upper edge of an upper edge of a shot glass. Inside the shotglass, a chunk of jagged, dark rock. Underneath all that, a single exclamation mark, small, almost timid.

Signed Fortunato Greyhope.

Relationship Note on Fortunato

I am gladdened to know him, and thankful that he is going to develop a masterpiece that highlights my romantic journey. No one can take the fantasy from me, and when it hangs on my bedroom wall- I can claim it that much more.

Relationship Note on Fortunato

A talented artist. A fear I've done a bad thing by introducing him to Orazio.

At least I have plenty of art to gift.

Relationship Note on Fortunato

I've never had an uncle before, but if Fortunato's anything to judge by, uncles are a good thing to have.

He's something of a philosopher, but he seems to understand me. We've only really spoken a handful of times so far -- I haven't known him very long -- but I've enjoyed every conversation. He always leaves me thinking.

(Besides, he did all the paintings for the walls of the Storied Blade, and I love them dearly.)

Relationship Note on Fortunato

While everyone is growing dire and concerned, Fortunato Grayhope has reminded me of what is good and joyful in life.

Puppies.

I have a painting of a plethora of puppies.

Relationship Note on Fortunato

Art is one of the gods' many gifts to mankind. I quite enjoy meeting artists, although few of them seem to enjoy the meeting as well. Master Grayhope is an intriguing man - rough and unpolished, but talented, and I cannot fault his courage.

I have commissioned a portrait, and a painting, and so should have more time to see if my initial impressions were correct.

Relationship Note on Fortunato

/Ridiculous/. The very idea that he would try to refuse a commission on the basis that he "doesn't work quickly." Pah! Any artist who spends their time in such an establishment should have no basis to refuse /anyone's/ money.

At least Pietro was there to keep me from murdering him.

Relationship Note on Fortunato

"Just an artist." A Grayhope. Unfortunately? I didn't know him a lot in my youth. That decade can mean a lot when you're that age. Fortunato is just mysterious enough to keep people coming back for more, though. On occasion, I get accused of trying to pick people's brains, but it's rarely actually the case. For him? I might make an exception. I think I could spend a day just watching him, as odd as that sounds. I have a feeling he's watching too. Where does he get his artistic inspiration? Someone should ask.
