Relationship Note on Delilah
From: The Desk of Lord Fredrik RedTyde
Subject: Musings on history, in response to Lady Delilah Whitehawk's journal posting (same day)
I have yet to meet this charming woman in person, but yet she continues to intrigue and amuse me with her insightful entries. And she touches upon something that I have often, as I sit in the depths of a dusty library, or shifting through scattered papers, wondered on. The correctness of our view of history.
You see, I have always seen facts and observations as one might a field of stars. Often, they seem so scattered, arranged in patternless swarms of points that mean nothing. But when one carefully traces them together, and sees the shapes hidden within? Constellations appear. Lovely images that suddenly are filled with meaning and purpose. But as one sits there and looks through their window and peers at the stars?
They realize one is just a speck of dust, glittering in the candlelight. Wipe it away, and the image is gone, or forever changed. How much of what we call history is just a speck of random dust, reflected by our candlelight?
Ah, but if we did not look up, we would not see the stars at all, and wouldn't that be a far, far worse fate than a bit of dust?

Relationship Note on Delilah
There is no greater pearl or gem or stone that sits on a Queen's crown than a genuine, sparkling compliment.
I am honored, and I can't wait to have you over for a drink sometime soon for that conversation.

I needle no promises about staying out of danger dearest sister.
I'll try to be careful at least?

Relationship Note on Delilah
I was perhaps slightly overexcited tonight.
BUT. (underlined twice)
I was able to actually //act// as a Guard tonight. A man attacked a granny and her son in front of me and I gave chase. He ALMOST escaped, but then Lieutenant Ainsley and Guardsman Merek came to assist and together we were able to capture him.
I hope that the granny got her gold back. I really should ask about that....
See Delilah! I'm perfectly safe at this job!

Relationship Note on Delilah
Lady Joslyn has been kind enough to introduce me to Lady Delilah Whitehawk, who appears a kind and gentle soul. A bit shy, perhaps, but... Well. Who wouldn't be in the company of two vivacious Lycene women. Quite frankly, I'm surprised I wasn't blushing more than I was.
I wouldn't expect her to be a member of the Inquisition, but then - I suppose that's sort of the point. And she's also part of the new Inquisition. The kinder, gentler Inquisition.
Hopefully, our first meeting spells the beginning of a long and wonderful friendship.

Relationship Note on Delilah
When I met Lady Delilah Whitehawk, I could immediately tell there was something special about her, and I had endeavored to make sure to figure out what it was. At first we seemed to happen to run into each other quite a bit, and perhaps it was just coincidence, but perhaps there was some other hand at work. We met more, grew closer, and the future has never looked better. These past few months have been a whirlwind, and I expect the archives to be full of my musings on the subject that will make the compact collectively gag and groan.
You're welcome, world.

Delilah Whitehawk, a young lion cub, but a lion no different, I think. I am pleased to call her a friend.

Relationship Note on Delilah
I've had the pleasure of getting to know Lady Delilah Whitehawk better of late, and have decided we shall be good friends. It is strange sometimes, to live among silks while not being quite of them, and I feel she understands this as one not born to highborn titles. She is wise in ways I am not about threats we face, and brave in her studies to confront them. Also, she is quite fun to drink with.
