Relationship Note on Harlex
Prince Alecstazi fought well but in the end I was victorious.
I was not so fortunate against the next Challenger, Harlex, Sword of Lenosa. His skills have not been over estimated. I can take pride in myself for the good showing but in the end I was not able to best his superior skill. I was honored to give the Trident into his hands.

Tomorrow I shall test my skill against Prince Alecstazi for the right to carry the Trident that I was granted at the Clearlake Tournament. I fully intend that even if I am victorious that any my challenge me for the right to carry it themselves. It is a rather marvelous looking weapon and worthy of being carried by the best.

My boy lost his lunch on my today. It was not so bad as I was fearing it to be. The smell was less then pleasant, but easily enough cleaned up. It was so hard to be upset with the way he smiled though. Though I find such expressions foreign, I hope to give him plenty reasons to smile.

To expound upon Warlord Galen's point,
Taking a life is rarely ever easy. It marks you in some ways for the rest of your life. It does not grow easy unless you are sacrificing some of yourself. Some poets may speak of it in far prettier ways then I can.
But there are times when a life must be taken. When violence is called for. There are some who make it their duty to be skilled at such things. It is not a task for everyone, and if it is not for you there is no shame in it.

There is a certain amount of discussion in regards to champions, trials by combat, and on the differences between the peerage and the commoner. On that, here is what I will say.
Champions may take up whatever cause they feel is just. There is no shame in asking them, nor in them performing their duty.
I am no expert of law, but I see no reason why in a trial by combat one could not find someone to fight for them. Not all are fit for combat, nor should they be. But they should be allowed to call to Gloria to determine their guilt or innocence.
There should be a level of respect between commoner and Peer. I have seen several instances describing that a commoner should not strike a peer. Indeed. a Peer should also not strike a commoner. Though at times violence does have a habit of breaking out. But if you strike out at someone, perhaps it is best not to rely on the moral principles of your station. It seems you have already taken matters into your own hands.
