In my home, we had a word for this. But I found it to be very inappropriate for cordial tongues. I have taken to calling it the "Resting Annoyance Expression". My father did it well! Hence how I lend your own credentials.

An unpopular opinion as it may be, I find Dame/Lady Thena's thousand yard stare from across her desk quite humbling. Really one doesn't need the paperwork to exude an air of authority. If there's an 'It' to be had, she's got 'It'. The kind of 'It' that makes me a little weary in my boots whenever I feel as though I've done wrong. Which thankfully, isn't often!

It is by the rigorous training of the Oathlands that we Valardin are able to munch upon our favorite sweets while still retaining our athletic beauty! Yesterday I partook in a tray of cookies and as punishment, performed 100 squats and a lap around the ward. Next perhaps I shall try a cookie wrapped in bacon.

Dear Arx:
When one finds themselves short of proper material to construct your ambiguous projects, one might find great success in turning to the art of scavenging! Indeed, simple items found upon the ground can do in a pinch if you truly need something done now.
For example, if in need of a cloth with which to wave for your chosen individual or organization of interest, consider the Banana. The banana when taken away from its home has many peels, which may flap merrily in the wind when being AGGRESSIVELY waved in excitement. If you find yourself in need of something resembling a pole, mother nature can come to your assistance! Sticks my friends, sticks are everywhere. Find them on the ground, laying by the wayside. They need not have their story end. Use it for many things! Striking, attaching, sitting. There are so few wrong answers in this world we live in!
Note: Please do not construct the Banana Flag without first consulting its creator. That is myself. Otherwise, such creations will be very rude in the face of our competitive economy.

I committed a sin most awful today. I told myself I wouldn't have sweets for breakfast, but the cake was just... /there/. Sitting there all alone, without a single soul there to guard it. You must understand, it would have gone to no fairer home had I not been there. I told myself, but one piece, but one piece wouldn't sully one's pallet. But oh, was I mistaken. One bite became two. Two became four. Four became... Too many.

With due respect to yourself and to Duke Harald, who's words I do not agree with, I would say that to bring up the Archfiend of Slavery is perhaps not the best choice in this regard. The Duke did charge the Herald itself head-on, while others fled. He is strong and he has no need to prove that much, to yourself, to me, or to anyone really. What it says for Thrax's character I cannot be certain, but that is not my point.

There are some things you only get the pleasure of experiencing once in a lifetime. One of those things is riding an elk with a blacksmith into 2 to 48 odds. Others would include rushing through a field on horseback while you're attacked by the largest horde of wasps the world has ever seen. Eating that last piece of cake, knowing that you shall regret it come the morning.
Sometimes you simply must do, rather than think. Even if it risks everything. You'll only get the one try.
Except for the cake, I'm sure many struggle with that daily.

It could never be outspoken how invaluable companions in arms can be when you're facing down Abyssal tainted monsters. These creatures were perhaps, nine to ten foot tall beasts. Though they spoke Arvani, they were too far gone to truly be considered 'human' anymore. It was sad really, a shame to see what I can presume to be men and women with such love for their culture being twisted by such lies.
I'm going to be singing the praises of Dame Alexis for some time yet, the tiny knight with the larger than life weapon that challenged a massive monstrosity to single combat. It was a magnificent showing and I must say that I am proud and privileged to have been apart of such an expedition.
The dangers that this supposed 'God' espouse are many. It is the duty of all those who can take up arms to defend their homes and my respect for Dame Wyrmfang for doing just that has soared in the days since.
Unfortunately, it seems I am going to have another scar.
