It touched my heart to see how many came out to enjoy the festivities and further who donated at the event. Between the wonderful praise that was overheard and the silver and resources I just couldn't keep from giving a thank you to each and every one.
Lady Tabatha Whitehawk
Master Rook Grayward and Mistress Yasmine Rovashani
Lord Corbit Leary
Baron Edward Stormbreak
Squire Sparte
Your donations are generous and I cannot express my gratitude enough.
Lady Tabatha Whitehawk
Marquis Fairen Leary
Lady Amari Keaton
Princess Reese Grayson
Lady Miranda Rubino
Princess Fatima Thrax
Mistress Siobhan Moonwrought
Princess Denica Thrax
Master Aaron
Your kind words and enthusiasm humble me, I could not be happier that this event brought such joy. Thank you, all of you, for your praise.
Tonight there are more opportunities to win one of these medallions, more opportunities to enjoy games and fun. And of course there will be the opportunity to win a day with so many of our wonderful people, including
Highlord Victus,
Grandmaster Thena,
Admiral Turo,
Princess Denica,
Princess Sorrel,
Princess Elgana,
Princess Katarina,
Duke Dagon,
Lady Carita,
Archlector Etienne,
Lady Rosalie,
And Lord Alexandre.
This list might well grow even further before the event, but what a list!
My gratitude to every single amazing person who has helped, donated, participated, or spoken a kind word cannot be measured. Ok I should stop now before the poor scholar gives me any more of those looks.

Morality is not dichotomous. There need not be absolute extremes. Yes, people do hurtful things, yes life is not fair, yes resources are not equally distributed. Death is death, to say killing one person is fine but killing another is not, the argument might be stated as being moral, truly dead is dead. That person is no less dead because it was declared a moral killing. A child who is starving is still starving, who is responsible for that life? Is it the parents? Is it society as a whole? If the parents are responsible but they cannot find work, or do not have the resources, or are sick, injured, or dead, that child is no less hungry. If a merchant has spent their last silver to set up a shop, everything they have in life is right there, they need the silver from every item to make a life for themselves and their own children, and that bread is stolen to feed the other child, is that moral? Who writes the rules of morality? Who dictates the standards?
One might claim the law is the standard, but how is that when the law is written by a very small, very select subset of people. It is impossible to run a country and not have hungry children, it is impossible to have this many people in one location and not be able to write laws specific to each situation. So law cannot be the only basis of morality. Thus, to me, morality is subjective and less the standard I personally go by. To me, each of us should do the best we can to fix the problems we see within the scope we can. Banding together to solve the problems means greater assistance for those who need it can be achieved, and perhaps those helped might join to help others.
These are only my thoughts, my opinions, they are not what I feel are the only way but they are simply my way.

Anyway, I wouldn't try eating that stuff as a general rule, I would imagine it isn't made from stuff you really want to ingest. Lemme know if you start feeling ill.

Scholar please note that this is said in jest and not in fact serious. I do not in reality seek to cause Master Wild true distress, this is merely a likely pathetic attempt at joviality.

As to the dangers presented in the field, I can say from personal experience what happens on the sands and what happens in the field are very different. Worry not, he clearly knows how to fight smart.

Family is one of the most important things in life, I can't argue with that one bit. Protecting family is one of the greatest things one can do in one's life.

Someone I consider very wise once said to me to consider the consequences of each action. This is wisdom often lost in the moment however what about when you know the action is wrong but the one who demands the action does so for what you have been told is the only right reason? The action is still wrong, that doesn't change, but that moment when you give in for duty, for trust, for loyalty, for any number of "right" reasons, it has consequences and you can no more change them then you can go back in time and change your decision.
What is done is done and leaves behind pain and broken trust on many sides. However, the definition of stupid is doing the same action and expecting a different result. The first time was inexcusable, there will not be a second.

Also, note to self: never allow buckets of material near irate sick people if you don't wish to end up wearing the contents. There are some memories I could be pleased to do without.

Princess Tikva, wow you were an amazing opponent, pure grace on a horse. I remember the horse race and how you flew, that is the only word I could describe it as, flew down the lane. Today was no different, well fought!
