Watching the 'votes' come in from my fellow commoners is.. both interesting and much what I'd expect.
The notes, in particular are what catch me. There's only been one so far that was unrelated, and all the rest have been quite to the point and honest.

I have more occasions to look at maps, now, and learn the geography of Arvum. It's interesting to know where particular plants come from, and where they grow best.
It still surprises me that there's no house that's built their estate on the big peninsula southeast of Lenosia, or.. along the entire western coast north of..

So many big things are happening. I never thought I'd be anything but Crownsworn, let alone leaving one House for another.
At least I'll always be a commoner? A lot of people have been plucked up and ennobled, but I can't ever see that being me-- which I'm more than fine with.

Heartache swept through the city when the clocktower fell, it seems like. I'm certainly not alone in that, but.. i haven't felt the absence of my parents in.. years. A decade, at least, since it last hurt me. I was fortunate to accept pretty early on that my parents weren't going to show up and take me home, that it had all been some grave mistake. I never expected another family to decide i was the child they wanted to give a new life, and take out of the Tragedy.

I put my name in the hat for the Commoner's Council, which surprised me a bit. I didn't think I wanted even -more- work, but.. The Lowers are my home, and I'd like nothing more than to see them properly taken care of.

Honestly, I'm just a bit confused why you'd immediately think of Audric's mercenary company when he said 'subjects'.
He's the Captain-General of the Valorous Few, and Baron of Fen de Lire. The Few aren't his barony's army, and as far as I'm aware? Approximately three of the Few are a part of his barony.
I'd make a quip about the Crimson Blades, but that's not fair to Harlex and Baroness Violet. I doubt either of them see the Blades as their 'subjects', either.

It's a strange feeling, having your eyes opened to some of the truths of the world. Whenever I think about it too much, it's almost dizzying. Those truths, though, mean nothing but opportunity.
For now, I have the shop and some good friends to keep me firmly grounded. There's a lot of really exciting projects in the works, as well, that I can't wait to see the results of. Some of them might even make it into the shop!

The last few days have been a bit of a whirlwind. Not only did I finally follow my interest in Alchemy and get into the Apothcary college, but I opened my own shop in the Lower Boroughs. Pluvio will be a work in progress for a while, likely, but I hope the venture does well. I set the grand opening for two days from now. I hope I'm ready!

I went to a Sip n' Spar at the Golden Hart, last night. It really made me wonder why I've never gone before, since the whole concept is right up my alley.
Bashira was a great opponent, even if we are pretty evenly matched, and there was a lot more dancing around the ring than there was anything else! I'm just going to have to get quicker.
Theodoric and Elora were really good sports about giving me a bit of competition for a knife-throwing challenge, too. I'll have to thank them both for the fun, later.
