Princess Gwenna created a gorgeous painting for me. Despite all her protests that painting is a hobby for her, I believe her skill and creativity are exceptional, and the personal subject matter she chose was quite thoughtful, as well. She honors Jayus with her skill, and I am honored she thought of me for such a generous gift.

After a series of conspiring messengers, I finally had the opportunity to meet Princess Charm, and she did not disappoint. I am, however, extremely suspicious of her having the greatest spy network in all of Arx. Only fifteen minutes after her arrival, the Raconteur was swarmed by princesses. I've checked to see if some specially colored lantern had been set out. Really, the only thing that gives me a moment of doubt to her secret agent nature? Is that princess Sabella didn't show up. Regardless, if there is ever an urgent crisis in Arx that can only be solved by the combined might of the princesses being in the same place, at the same time? She is the one to notify.

You should absolutely do more painting! Maybe you could do a family portrait, especially with the new little wriggly one around! I will even try to hold still as long as I can!

I think it's a good idea! I mean, I couldn't sit and listen to scholars for more than a few minutes. So it's good that the kids develop their strengths. And Bear Scouts get hurt sometimes ((Scholar, you know the healers back home. They looked like you and your friends, you know, the faces they made when they saw me coming in with my arm dangling is kind of like the one you made when you see me coming in all in plate!)). Learning other ways to be a hero is good when you can't practice the old fashioned Hit it Till It Stops Being Able To Be Evil method!

I can vouch for the staring being absolutely terrifying. My condolences to Agatha's future husband if he has to endure that. There is also this other look, which is a mixture of 'utter confusion' and 'vaguely horrified' but I think she reserves that entirely for me.

I would like to say that UNLIKE my cousin Gwenna, I am weird, slow, and very good with a spear. Oh. And that I smell! HAH! Gwenna would make a great leader and mom, and you men would be LUCKY to have her.
Or not lucky. Cause if you don't marry in to become a Redrain and she hast to leave the family, I am probably gonna glare at you during dinners for all time, and make sure you have to spar me again and again for years to come, and make sure you get a lot of bruises every time.
So. In other words: Gwenna is GREAT, and you should want to marry her! If you make her not a Redrain, I will make wage quiet, grumpy, growling GRRRR at you for years to come.
But she is worth it.

For the record, let it be known that in the matter of siblings, I would never and have never wanted anything other than exactly what I have. My most beautifulest and darlingest sister Gwennykinzypoozylina is a DIAMOND who I would not trade for anything, ever. I am very proud of her. Even if she is weird. And slow. And not very good with a spear. And smells.

A most interesting young woman, and a credit to her House, at least on first impression. Someone who understands the value of diplomacy, and the obligations of nobility to their sworn oaths, without falling into the easy traps of heartlessness and cynicism. With seasoning, she could be a Voice to be reckoned with among all the Great Houses. I quite enjoyed our discussion, and I hope to have others in the future.

When you are ready, come and find me. We've a new batch of puppies that are still too young yet to be found new homes. However, the Aegis line (of which this litter is part) are the Keaton guardian line. If you are interested, you should come and meet my Oaken. Getting to spend some one one one time with my sister for the first time since I arrived in Arx was pretty special. We hadn't been separated long, I suppose, but I had missed her a lot. Being the voice of House Redrain is a huge responsibility and I am really proud of her. Whatever else may come my way, I am going to make sure I am there to support her when she needs it.

I am honored for the public invite as it has been upon my mind to get to know more of the Redrain family, especially after meeting Princess Astraea, Princess Echo, and Prince Artur, not to mention my previous acquaintances with those of the family. See, my cousin Gwenny is definitely the trickster in the family. She'll kill you with kindness, with charm, with style... you'll think, "Oh, did a Southern noble find their way in to Redrain?" And then she says things like "OH SNOWBALLS" and "SON OF A MOTHERLESS BEAR" and I realize, nope, she's alllllll Northlands.
