You are a treasured friend and confidante. I am so very happy to hear about your recent nuptials. I hope it is OK to finally reveal this, but I was honored to be brought in on the secret betrothal when I helped broker the marriage agreement and drew up the contract. When I received an invitation to your Gala personally I had every intention on attending even without a hint of suspicion about what it would turn out to actually be. My schedule simply didn't allow that to happen though. Had I known I would have made it regardless, damned the consequences. But alas, the day has passed. I am honored to call you a friend. I am bitter that I missed your joyous occasion. And I wish you all the happiness our world can offer mortals.

My daughter, Zoey, has finally joined me and Sabitha in Arx. I couldn't be more pleased. She is a beckon of optimism and joy and has always made me happy and proud. It is much easier to spoil her when she is living under my roof.

I have completed a week volunteering at the Shrine of the Thirteenth with the Silent Reflections. It was a very informative sojourn. I couldn't read any of them. Not a one was open to me. It must be so isolating, their lot. So, no, it was not informative in a human study way. It was a philosophical journey. It really makes you think about the responsibility of the Scholars. What a sacred commitment. This isn't an oath to take lightly. Then again, no oath should be.

Relationship Note on Joslyn
To accept the oaths of Knighthood in the sight of Gloria, is to break the shackles of selfishness. To devote yourself to the duchy and to champion her ideals and proudly protect her defenseless is to do a fine thing.
Lady Joslyn Stonewood was born in Tor, the city of roses. A city much like Pridehall, known for it’s military might. It was there that young Joslyn was taught to fight by her mother, Chiara Manicelli. When Joslyn struck out on her own and arrived in Arx, she did not shrink back from the chance to use her mother-given abilities in the fight against the Bringers of Silence. When they attacked the city, she fought back. Since then, she has fought alongside great warriors of the Compact of the likes of our Princess-General Reese Grayson and the late Dame Zhayla of Old Oak. She helped hold the various points of defense during the great siege of Arx, the final battle against Brand.
After Lady Joslyn chose to join House Stonewood, she helped the house regain lost land, restore a lost county and raise the silver to support those campaigns. She has tirelessly fought for her liege and loyally sacrificed her own wellbeing on her behalf. She nearly died, in fact, during her service to the Crownlands.
She has proved to be a great friend and loyal servant to House Stonewood, House Bisland and House Grayson. I can think of no other person more worthy of the title of Knight of Pridehall.
Her oath as witnessed by an assembly of peers:
In the sight of Gloria, I do so vow: I pledge myself to valor, never shall I desert. I swear to protect the defenseless, or fall in the attempt. I give myself to justice, my honor will not bend. I shall champion House Bisland. We win glory.

Relationship Note on Killian
I remember Killian well from when he was a boy being fostered at Pridehall. I am so very sad to have lost him, but happy to have known him. The gods saw fit to protect him once, which gave us all a chance to come to know him. I thank The Sentinel for that.

There will be an official proclamation made soon, but I should make it a matter of record now that I have relinquished control of the Crown Court of Arx back to Chief Magistrate Octavia. I was happy to keep the Court running smoothly in the interim while the Honorable Lady Octavia dealt with a situation in her home march. We are happy to have her back.

I have no doubt that troubles facing Southport are no match for Duchess Calypso and House Malvici. My brother has said all you need to know about the substance of her character.
To quote my brother, Duke Gabriel:
The Lady General has proven herself a stalwart commander in the field, and one willing to see to the interest of the Crown and the Compact before others. A desireable trait which puts her above many others in my esteem.
The Battle of Whitewood was a trial by fire, in my eyes, which she passed galantly and in the future I will trust her with my men should it come to it.
