I truly wonder if I read too many stories. Too many sets of tales depicting actions rather than doing them.
At times I think my head so far up in the clouds, outside of reality, searching and seeking for answers rather than doing them. I hope, and pray, that I am preparing myself for some great thing to come, but is it better to instead seek out, and find answers in reality?
Legate Bianca believes I should explore the waking world for answers, and I cannot call her wrong in that regard. What holds me back? Is it... myself?

Lord Richard's brother. Every bit the man of his brother, yet trimmer.
If I had thought the Lord Wyrmguard likely to heed it, perhaps he would know and hear that he needs not seek decorations very far.

Scotch! How could I never have learned of this Oathland viper?
I am bitten, but like any poison, I will overcome this venom that burns with diligence! And vigilance! Lashed to the rocks of my own head, I shall overcome! Weathering this storm in amber, like a rain of fire along my throat, hazy ashes of heat that pop and fizz just between my eyes.
I must remember the teachings of Lord Richard. To balance my humors - water! Water shall be my sword.

The dreams continue, but there's new clarity to them. Should I be worried? Should I be overjoyed? It's like Winter has ended and my head fills with all the possibilities of Spring.
I hope to see what thaws out! Perhaps, as Master Preston leads me towards a second project, I will find the answers far abroad. Perhaps the answers lay within the city.

It is heartening to return to the city and see both my family of blood and faith in such liveliness! But still, I am humbled by the sheer scope of the world here, the staggering pace of motion, the uncertainty of every soul I see.
Perhaps with time I will gain a more steady footing on what must be done. With time I will find the same surety of purpose among these people as I did among the Oathlands.
