I have heard that history repeats its self, I know those who were before that now walk the streets, but does that mean that history is destined to repeat its self? If it is, then perhaps we should more closely study that which we know of our history. There is so much we have yet to even scratch the surface on knowing.
The things you sit around and ponder during the night when sleep evades you...Perhaps I should drink more.

I think I need a new assistant to better schedule my time, I have so many meetings and yet many have to be rescheduled constantly due to higher priority meetings, does anyone have any suggestions for better time management? Perhaps I should stop drinking as much...

You know it perhaps isn't said enough how important having the right person to stand beside you is. I don't mean on the battlefield, though I'd welcome her at my side on the battlefield anytime. I mean in life, it is so important to have the right person to live life with at your side. The strength you can draw from simply knowing someone loves you the way you love them is undeniable, a reason to live when facing the darkest enemy.
For me, Sorrel is all of that and more and since it has been some time since I have publicly proclaimed my love to her in a journal, I thought it fitting to do so. I hope that everyone is lucky enough to find their Sorrel.

A joyous day, I cannot explain the rush of emotion that has overtaken me. Becoming a father has been the most amazing thing to ever happen to me, it is as if I thought I knew what love was, but then the first time I held him I really knew what love was.
How something so small and so helpless can bring me to my knees escapes me, my entire mindset altered in brief moments, suddenly I find myself being more concerned with my own choices, I must live the example I want my son to see, I must teach him the things a father should.
What a blessing the Gods have given me in both my beautiful wife and my amazing boy!

This tour has done good for my mind, my body and my soul. It has given me some direction and let me see some of the needs of our people up close and personal. I have ideas now, plans even for what the military can do to help Thrax as a whole become a more favorable House than it even is, and plans for helping our lesser Houses rebuild and flourish.
In truth, being at sea where I feel my calling has been a great blessing and getting to take my wife along to let her see it all was a bonus.

What we learned at dinner tonight in Tyde is disturbing, to say the least, my sworn duty comes before all else here and I have made necessary adjustments to counter as much as I can given the circumstances. We are prepared, and we will not be intimidated, we are Thrax.
It should also be noted the food was absolutely wonderful.

Being at sea has been refreshing to my soul, and letting Sorrel experience sailing on a long trip with Thrax has been a real joy to my heart. She is not just beautiful and deadly, she adapts well and her sea legs are growing at a rapid pace, probably has something to do with all her dancing skills.

Preparations are being made, supplies gathered, soon we will sail for honor and soon we will sail for pride, both of these things are important in their own regards. Both will be successful and bring glory to Thrax. Once these missions are complete, I can focus on strengthening the effectiveness of our command units and thus improve our already mighty military.

Let the record reflect that an extremely pregnant wife can still scale a rigging quite swiftly. I am still in shock that at the Sailor's ball my wife put everyone but Felicia to shame as far along as she is with child, should I have stopped her? Well...I already kept her from doing other things, and someone as strong, beautiful and smart as she knows her limits better than I.
I think I shall now have the entire military doing climbing drills, myself included!

It is getting closer and closer...Soon I will be a father, and if there is one thing I want to make sure I get right it is that. I believe strongly in family above all else, to have my own will no doubt challenge me in ways I have never expected, but also allow me to grow as a man.
I will be looking to my siblings for their aide, they had best be prepared!
