I thank Princess Valencia and all the staff of the Golden Hart for organizing and executing the Sip and Spar on behalf of the Lodge of Petrichor. Princess Valencia put together the event at my request, and I could not be happier as to how it turned out.
As I stated at the beginning, the resources contributed to the Lodge's cause are just as crucial as strong sword arms and clever scouts. To all those who took part: You do service to the Compact.

I echo Princess Valencia's excitement at the upcoming Sip and Spar. It was quite generous of her and the Golden Hart to dedicate the next iteration of this event to raising resources and other funds for the Lodge of Petrichor. As much as strong sword arms, we require the materials to prepare the defenses and weaken our enemy.
With a successful event, we will be even further along in our preparations.

I’ve written more than normal since returning from Stormwall. Seems that war can even bring out the philosopher in a drunken brawler these days. Lots of thoughts on living and no regrets. Well, seems I should follow my own advice.
All my life I’ve been searching for a home. All my life, I’ve been wanting more than that which was readily offered to me, more than parties, more than so-called friends who stood beside me out of personal gain. I always thought home would be a place, and indeed it is, but not in any physical sense.
It is a place in your heart and soul, and the heart and soul of a rare few. It is a feeling given by true friends.
I know this, my Princess, when I look at you I am home.

Relationship Note on Valencia
As I get home with friends and family, feeling blessed to have them with me, I've come to find that some of those closest to me have lost very dear friends and family. My heart is heavy for them, blunting my own joy, and seeing what could've happened up North.
My thoughts and prayers to the Spirits go out to the families of the lost loved ones. Anyone with a heart, with a family, has experienced loss. No one escapes unscathed. Every story of separation is different, but I think we all understand that basic, wrenching emotion that comes from saying goodbye (or not having the chance), not knowing if we'll see that person again - or worse ... knowing that we won't.
I'll offer what support you'll want, and my own thoughts having suffered the loss of both Wife and Daughter... Loss and Discovery, Death and Life are one, There falls no shadow where there shines no sun. While there might feel only darkness right now, the Night doesn't last forever, and even though the feeling when the Morning breaks won't erase the memory of the Night... it'll remind you that there's always the next Day.

The Northern Fox (even if she's moved south again) is a most amazing woman, and quite the deft dancer. With sword in hand, she is adept at weaving in and out of battle, and matching myself against her is a pleasure. It's a very different fighting style from that of the Oathlands.

I'm not sure I've ever used her title either come to think of it. I do love that we can be busy in our respective lives and still when we are together it is as if we have not been away. Perhaps I might go as far as to call us friends. Perhaps. Maybe. She is a delight and easy to make blush. I personally take it as a challenge to say those things she thinks. A beautiful princess willing to help me throw a Champions party. She knows all the ins and outs of hosting a good shindig, and she's willing to handle the little details I don't have the time to deal with. I'm looking forward to a partnership with her - this fight is going to be great. She's pretty easy on the eyes too, so that's no real hardship.

This Princess is the epitome of charity and generosity. Her event tonight was glorious, as all her events are. The catering was magnificent, the people there interesting. Valencia herself inspires me in many, many ways. Arx is better for having her in it. I hope that someday I might also be a similar light within our fair city.
