Relationship Note on Eirlys
I can't express enough how delighted I am that I met Eirlys. I hope she realizes she just made a new friend, that might drive her mad, but hopefully, it is the good mad! She is going to introduce me to Kieran too, her War Elk, and teach me how to ride one. And even help me get one if I decide I would like one!

I watched her fight at the Hall of Heroes, and we talked about the battle later on. She is kind, and well trained for battle. I hope to spar with her sometime.

Relationship Note on Eirlys
Eirlys was one of the first people I met after my arrival here in Arx, and along with her brother, the first of the Greenmarch I met. On the surface, one might think the two of us near polar opposites. While my time is spent in books, and my emotions are reserved, Eirlys is one of the finest warriors that I have had the pleasure of knowing, and wears her emotions freely upon her sleeve. Yet I am certain this is the reason we have become such good friends. We both share a passion for teaching in our own ways, a loyalty to our families, and a desire to make things better in this world. This friendship has blossomed into something more akin to family: a cousin or sister, but regardless, a more steadfast companion to have your back, I could not ask for.

Your path is one tangled with thorny brambles, descending into deep valleys, and climbing to the mountain peaks. I think that you've come to me - in all my lacking experience and wisdom - more than anyone else to be the shaman I am meant to be. I try. I am learning by you how to be what I am meant to be. I watch your highs and your lows, and I watch you cut your way through the brambles...I have no doubt that you'll overcome them all and be stronger at the end for it.

Aerlys? Eirlys...? That lady has some of the quickest ankles I have seen, and her reflexes are excellent. She claims to rely on other means than what I have trained to do and - I have little doubt - could wield her sword with the same effortless ease.

Relationship Note on Eirlys
The strength of the Greenmarch is always something that surprises me. In my personal ignorance, I always assume that our differences are going to be rift that I will never truly bridge. But constantly I am proven wrong, and no one proved me more wrong than Lady Eirlys. We could not be more different, and yet on some of the most important things, we are in complete agreement. Loyalty to family, and being willing to fight for them.
She's also a hell of a fighter, she rode with me in the battle of Pridehall and protected my flank and saved my life more than once, and she has also beaten me from pillar to post in armed practice in the Telmar gauntlet. That's the kind of warrior you want to have your back when battle comes.

The first person in Arx to come right up to me, coverd from head to toe in dough despite your station. I think I might have loved you even in that moment. We come from the same life, the same people. The Woodsmen of old. I hope with all my heart that we can make what we started work. If it does not, it will be a cloudy and dark day and my heart will break into a thousand little pieces and I'm not sure anything could put them back together.

It's easy to take things like family for granted. They've always been there so you just assume they always will be, and that nothing can touch them. To be sure, too, we Greenmarchers are no strangers to death and loss. It's a part of the way of living. But after this last battle, when I look around and see all these folk mourning the ones that didn't come back, I'm only selfishly grateful that you and Fia did.

I am used to meeting people who are odd or eccentric, but Eirlys was a first.
She is lovely, amusing, friendly, and even charming. I look forward to sparring her in the near future.
But I have never had a woman start to strip five minutes after meeting me. Nice tattoos though. Very well done.
