Relationship Note on Cambria
Making changes is not always something that comes easily. Especially when one leaves a home they have known all their life. But this change in the recent days of moving to Mazetti from Sanna has been rather surreal and not in a bad way. My new home has been welcoming and all together warm in my reception among them. I could not ask for more of them. All things considered House Mazetti is something of a gem if I might say so.

I would have to disagree, based on my own experiences. There is at least one person still alive out there that I hate with every fiber of my being. And I never loved that person before, not even for a second. The best I could ever say about them was that I was indifferent, and that indifference did not last long.

Agreed in full! Not only that, but when that delicious feeling of self-righteousness is shared with other people...we feel so much closer to them. Bonding through our gossip and agreeing we are superior to those whom we are deriding. So comfortable, so easy....and why scandals are so very popular. I do not look fondly on the time when I was the scandal of the season and yet it is likely the most joy I have ever provided to so large a group of my peers.

Last but certainly not least. Studying human nature is ongoing, and though one can find some universal truths, there's much more we need to know in order to apply what we've learned of it. Human nature that is.

In your white you write, "It is important to know ones history. It is equally important to know political philosophy. Last, but certainly not least, one should make certain to understand human nature."
How did you learn these things? Before moving to Arx and gaining an understanding how different the world is than I what I grew up with I did not have as much desire as I have now for a nuanced understanding of the political vicissitudes required to ensure the stability of the Compact so that the world doesn't get completely fucked and no longer exist.... or become an dire abyssal-scape. you, know -- like what happened in the Suthryn Wastes or Pyre. I mean, what /was/ up what all that. We don't want that to happen here. Or to the entirety of existence. that. There are so many alliances I /think/ we should forge. Like, let's shove some vaguely hostile but necessary people together? Do we need that.
Could you recommend some books? I'll figure all of this out post haste. I just need some good books to read. Maybe even some good conversation, but it's hard to get a word in edgewise sometimes. seems like most of the time the conversations go off the rails and I'm left with frustrations and a vague sense of dread at the fate of the world. Let it be noted, Scholar. I didn't know she detested shopping so much when she offered her help. Had I known, I'd have politely declined her offer and reached out to our friend to do it. He seems mercenary enough that offering to pay him silver to handle a bit of order pick-up wouldn't have so much as caused him to blink.
Then again, he could have misunderstood my intent behind hiring him. Then there'd be some sort of incident. Then I'd have to make amends with a valued contact among the merchants. Then they'd want compensation for their 'pain and suffering'. Then there would be some convoluted story that would unravel from the whole ordeal that ultimately ended up with some tragedy or another.
Then just when you think the story is over, some upstart offspring of theirs turns up in fifteen to twenty five years, vowing their revenge. Catching the subject of their desired vengeance unawares, because they thought the whole matter was resolved fifteen to twenty five years ago.
Somewhere in that whole fiasco there would be an unlikely friend, probably some sort of animal bond, then everyone would cry when the animal in question died in some heartbreaking way, and finally there'd no doubt be a friend in a mask who turns out to be an enemy in disguise. Which only leads me to believe the friend-in-disguise would be Luigi. So now I've got to keep an eye on him and that mustache. I've never trusted that thing.

I have been doing a lot of research on House Mazetti's Ostrian horses and I must say that I find the breed to be of very good stock. With my brother, Lord Kincade, here, perhaps I should approach the Marquessa Cambria Mazetti, combining an Oathlander Cob with the endurance of an Ostria horse might prove to be what the Oathland needs to help cover the longer patrols the Great Road requires.

I mean... Does the average commoner or even the average Peer who is not a House Sword or a Voice or a Head of a family actually know the traditions and details of heirloom weapons and what House Swords actually are? There hasn't been a House Sword versus House Sword honor duel to the death for quite some time. It's not as if we are exactly commonly employed within the public sphere.
