I had forgotten how much I enjoyed hosting...anything. The planning, coordinating, perfecting till everything goes smoothly. Working with merchants, vendors, crafters, entertainment, knowing that when the day comes there will be no surprises. Lady Viviana honored me when she asked if I would host the first day of the Decathlon, and there was never any hesitation on my part when I accepted the invitation. I may never have been allowed to go on grand adventures sailing around the Mourning Isles and beyond, but that doesn't mean that I don't enjoy the sea like any other Thraxian born, and the chance to host any events pertaining to the water is something that I plan on repeating.

Relationship Note on Fatima
Fatima! She is an amazing woman, despite all that she has had to endure. She is charming, and beautiful, and /mysteriously foreign/, though she has never been anywhere foreign. I suppose it doesn't matter, as long as you can claim to be foreign and she can! She is certainly one of my most favorite cousins, and any moment spent with her is a learning experience and grand adventure. I feel we will get each other into a lot trouble the more we are around one another, but sometimes scandal can be fun! Not the major scandals...like stealing a ship and running off to get married to a foreigner major, but equally entertaining.

Relationship Note on Barric
Barric is the man that all the story books about dashing Princes are written about. He is honorable, charming, and enjoyable company. I met him upon returning to the city, and he has been very easy to get along with on those random rare encounters that we see one another. He certainly owes me a dance.

Relationship Note on Freja
When I grow up, I wish to be like Princess Freja. She is capable and smart, and looks as if you'd think twice before you tried to cross her. We are two very different people, but she has been one of the few people in the city who appears genuine, as if she says exactly how she feels without apologies and expects the same from those around her. It must be a Redrain trait that my father did not pass down to me, as I am much more comfortable with social niceties. We have much to learn from one another.

Relationship Note on Talen
Talen Artiglio, the Sword of Lenosia, is House Velenosa's trusted Sword and go-to man for anything it seems. He is intelligent and quite capable, and someone I have grown rather fond of within the short time I have spent with my new family. He is a good man to be able to count on in times of uncertainty.

Relationship Note on Rohkir
This Redrain Prince is interesting. While I do not know him well, he clearly is an enigma I wish to learn more about. I met him during Esera's moonlight social, sitting alone with a rather distasteful expression after drinking a glass of wine. While I can't account for his poor taste in libations, I provided him with whiskey and my company, hoping to smooth over any acts of war which may have been aroused by his utter dismissal of Lyceum wine. No declarations have been made yet.

Relationship Note on Victus
Victus and I understand one another. Yes, he is terrifying and almost ten times larger than I am, but I do enjoy his company. Perhaps because he is one of the few people who seems completely honest and does not attempt to shield me from all of the bad things in life, our conversations end up being quite informative. I do have to ask my handmaiden what some of the more colorful words and terms mean afterwards, but it certainly is a learning experience and I am well equipped should I decide to become a pirate.

Relationship Note on Valerius
Valerius is the greatest brother anyone could ever dream of having. As long as you don't expect much. Anything. As long as you don't expect anything. He is charming, yes, but he uses that charm to manipulate all those around him to do the things he himself would rather not. Sometimes I wish he would grow up and see that the world is not always a good place, and because of that he needs to learn to take responsibility seriously! Some day his smile won't work, and I fear for that day.

Relationship Note on Margot
It is a difficult thing to tell how much you might miss someone once you are no longer simply in the next room over from them. Perhaps I took Margot for granted, perhaps I did not think at all of what would become of us as I quickly wished to grow up and see a bit more of the world so kept sheltered from me. Seeing her upon my return to the city made many memories come rushing back, those that I had wished would stay away and those I had not realized I had forgotten in the first place. She was never a ward of the Thrax household to me, but more like a trusted sister. Sometimes I think she thinks I am much more delicate than I am, and sometimes I think she is very right as she has always been the strong one between us.
