I am more than honored to have been given the task of Minister of Infrastructure. Like everything in life, it will be a challenging task, but one I am most excited to embark on. I have been studying maps of the city, above and beneath the ground, and hope that to make myself more familiar with the merchants and shop owners.

Talen's snake went into my room unattended and killed my rabbit. This leads to other questions such as: why was the snake out and about the estate? What if the snake decided to bite me instead of poor Icicle? Should Talen be completely forgiven for bringing the rabbit into my life and then viciously ripping the poor dear from it?
He has soothed me enough that I do not wish for either man nor reptile blood.

There is something innocent about winter, how everything is blanketed in white and nothing can hide from the chill that seems to find everyone's secrets.
I had the pleasure of enjoying a lovely afternoon with Cicero, and when he left me, Jarek. While nothing was every accomplished, and there were no snowmen to be seen afterwards as I had originally planned, the afternoon was a balance of good company, amusement, and conversation.

Relationship Note on Nadia
I don't remember which event it was, but I now owe Nadia jewelry. I'm ok with this developement, of course. You shouldn't bet if you aren't willing to pay the price. I have grown quite fond of the Duchess in the time we've spent together. She is carefree and yet serious should the need call for it. I do hope she likes a tiara made of fruit? Squid earrings? She left the design to me.

Relationship Note on Jarek
Another distant cousin of Esera and Isolde. He is a strange man, though someone I have instantly taken a liking to. You can't help but be happy when you're around him, even if you are left scratching your head after any encounter had. He is someone I could consider a friend, he does not want for anything, there is no hidden meaning behind his words, no secrecy or desires. He is around you just for company, and who am I to deny him that?

Relationship Note on Cicero
Prince Cicero is a distant cousin to Esera and Isolde. I believe we first ran into each other at the inn, and I didn't even try to feed him anything gross. He has turned out to be a very interesting and charming man, full of surprises. His company is always welcomed and even sought out.

I am not known for my knowledge. I prefer hosting grand balls or adventurous, sometimes dangerous, events. This was something that I thought might be fun and was pleased when Nadia agreed to assist me in hosting.
There were ultimately two teams of participants. Prince Darren, Lady Lydia, and Lord Tobias. The other team was Lord Valkieri, Lady Aislin, and Sir Silas. I am not quite sure what Prince Darren's idea of victory is, but he did not receive one last night. There were a total of six questions, three by me and three from Duchess Nadia. Lady Aislin's team answered the first, third, and fourth, and a half point to the sixth question. Prince Darren's team answered the second and a half point for the third question. I was drinking, as were we all, but I can count quite proficiently.
For the record, Lord Valkieri, I believe the event went well and I would not consider it a 'disaster' at all. You have just become my new project. I fear that you were never taught how to behave with any sort of etiquette or polite decorum, and instead of being upset or angry at your remarks, you are now mine.

Relationship Note on Mirari
Mirari was one of the first people I met upon returning to Arx, and she is a delight. On top of being wonderful company, she is quite the capable hair stylist and it is only a shame that I can't steal her away from house Pravus and keep her all to myself.

I wasn't sure what Lord Prospero wished to do when I accepted his offer to join him, but quickly found out it was for business and not pleasure. Accompanied by Lord Eos, the three of us went to the cemetery in the lower boroughs to investigate the alibi of one of Lord Prospero's clients. Unfortunately, we never got that information as we were attacked by a crazed man! Lord Prospero was struck in the head, and if it was not for Lord Eos' valiant efforts to keep us safe, I fear I would not be here to retell this dramatic adventure that befell us.

Relationship Note on Prospero
Sometimes I feel as if I guilt people into doing things when that is not my intention at all. I mean, there are times when a little persuasion is necessary, but while I was dealing with Lord Prospero there was no motive beyond a friendly discussion. Here we are, all the same, with outings planned.

I may have scarred this man for life, and I am not sure if he will ever be the same again. Yet, having just met him and treating him the way I did, I am not so sure if it is an improvement to the way he was before or not. I suppose time will tell.

Relationship Note on Alrec
Admiral Alrec Magaldi is not someone I should talk to. I am not sure if his reputation is larger than it should be or if he is exactly as people believe he is. He is said to be dangerous, treacherous, a man of few morals. Despite this, or perhaps because of it, I find myself in his company on the rare occasion we run into one another in the Hundred Cities Inn or on the beach. I have decided, despite the urging from my cousins, to decide for myself what his reputation should be.

I have taken it upon myself to find Valerius a watcher. For his own good, of course. I am worried that he will get himself into trouble, so as his older sister it is my job to make sure that does not happen. He can be very charming, which worries me as well! I have to pick someone that won't give into his whims each time he smiles and says something flattering to them. I can't tell you how many times that worked on me as a child, and like to think I am immune to him by now, though ... I like him to think he still is able to sway me so he thinks i'm the best older sister in the world. Which I am, of course. Valerius you owe me a present by the way. I'm writing that to keep as a historical memory so it happens and I don't forget when you try to wiggle your way out of it.

Relationship Note on Marcas
Marcas is a dangerous soldier that has seen his share of death and destruction. There is a sadness and anger that rests just beneath the surface, and it is an almost deadly walk one takes when speaking with him. He is interesting though, and always quick to smile and share a joke with me when we meet. I don't know if I make a difference, but I would like to try! He is a good, albeit sometimes smelly, man. Loyal.

Acacia is Duke Niccolo's protege. I am not quite sure what this means, but anytime I have been around her she has been an absolute delight! We have plans to steal a ship one day, though i'm not quite sure where we'll go after that. What could go wrong?

Relationship Note on Niccolo
Duke Niccolo has been nothing but accommodating since I joined House Velenosa. His refined and silent confident nature is quite reassuring and comforting. He is certainly someone that I will seek advice from in the future. While he is nothing like my father, it is nice to have a man of experience to lean on.

Relationship Note on Fergus
While drinking and lamenting with Princess Freja, the topic of brothers came to be. We both have one, you see, and both are maddening to certain degrees though both are quite different people. I suggested we trade brothers, and upon informing Fergus that he was mine for the week, we met in the Redrain study. He is much different than the closed, hardened, and serious man that I was told to expect. In fact, I am certain I saw he smile at least three times.

Relationship Note on Rohkir
It is odd to mourn a concept. I have mourned my mother, my father, and my husband, but to mourn an idea is peculiar. An idea agreed upon by two strangers to share parts of their lives with one another in good times and bad, an unspoken arrangement so life is not quite as boring as if you had to travel it alone. A friend. I will not brush you off as easily as you have me. I can wait till you return to your senses.

Relationship Note on Leona
My twin. The only other person that I should be able to share everything in the world with. The only person that should understand. We are so different, people don't even believe me when I tell them she is my sister, let alone my twin. She and I went down two different paths, starting from an early age. My weapon of choice was my personality and her's was a sword, and in doing so, we learned to survive.
