Carita arrives, following Mayir.

Confessor Imori, 2 Grayson Guardsmen, 2 Armed Confessors, Confessor Warren arrive, following Tikva.

Pyotr, A huge hideously ugly mastiff arrive, following Thena.

Mayir makes his way into the Grotto's gardens with Lady Carita Darkwater on his arm. He looks around here like it's his first time in the room -- because it is. "Huh," he says finally. "I go to the baths all the time, but I don't think I have some out back here," he admits. "Can I get you wine or whiskey, Carita?" He gestures to the trays being passed around. Quite the escort he is.

At the vine-wrought doors of the garden, Saedrus stands to greet those attending. The courtier is draped in summer-blue seasilk, unmistakably Lycene in design, and smiles as guests arrive. Attendants keep the humidity of the bathhouse at bay, holding the door for those coming in and closing it at their back, lest the warmth harm the paintings. Flawless etiquette each person is greeted by title, name and a bow befitted such, "Welcome," the Whisper smiles brightly.

"Come through, you will find all the artwork for auction about the pathways as before, and of course, auction slips are available on the table by the roses." The Whisper gestures off towards a small table with aforementioned slips and charcoal sticks for noting bids, with a surly youth standing beside the table. The attendants are, as always, highly attentive toting trays with treats and refreshments for guests.

"There is food and drink, enjoy yourself, and thank you for attending. The bidding will be open for a while yet. Enjoy." Before turning to the next arrival with a brilliant smile and a fresh greeting.

Calaudrin walks in, dressed in his usual armor and cloak and other things marking him as the Iron Guard. If nothing else, he's happily predicatble in that. He begins to meander through the art content and in good spirits, stopping when he gets to the one of 'Lady Tikva'. He stops, squints at the most recent bid and starts to sputter. Silently. Eventually, he pinches the bridge of his nose and looks around as he regains some kind of composure. His expression can be explained as nothing other than total bafflement.

Petal has joined the Swinging seats amongst roses.

Petal is in her on the swinging seat by the roses and is keeping rather quiet.

"Wine would be perfectly lovely, thank you Mayir." Carita thanks her escort with a gracious dip of her head, voice lowered to a gentle volume. She will allow Mayir to fetch drinks while she seeks out a likely place to sit and enjoy either the entertainment or the artwork - swaying off in a drift of pale wildflower embroidered silks.

Oh, look, there's that bidder now! Monique comes up behind Calaudrin, all grins and good cheer. "Hello, Master Calaudrin. It's been an age. You're looking very well."

Tikva has arrived at the garden party with what can only be described as an expression of alarm on her face when she greets Saedrus, her eyebrows swept high, her freckled nose beginning to very slightly crinkle. She hisses, "What," at him, as though this is in some way his fault.

Mae Grayhope slips out into the garden, dressed not in silver, nor white, nor gold. She's in near-black, as she usually is. Cloaking beneath fine silk, it seems. She stops, in front of Seadrus, and flashes him a smile. "Hi, Saedrus," she says. Then she steps in, and goes to tip toes, so she can deliver a kiss to the man's cheek. Thank the gods for non-giant men! Kiss delivered, she steps away and slowly looks around, debating where exactly she is to go.

Carita has joined the Swinging seats amongst roses.

Unlike the kickoff event, Thena shows up to this one dressed in a dark gray silk dress and just a little late, given that Saedrus is already there and greeting everyone, but it could be explained by the somewhat stiff way she carries herself and the fressh bandages on her cheek and visible on her upper arm. Her hair is partly pinned up, but for the most part hangs down her back in dark waves. It's almost a relaxed look. Almost. With a slightly weary smile she plunges into the crowd to take up her share of the hostessing.

"Lady Carita, Master Mayir, welcome both of you. Please, come through it is lovely to see you both," Saedrus welcomes happily and smiles to both. "Are you both bidding on any of the pieces?" Evergreens turn and he dips in a polite bow to Calaudrin probably on the verge of greeting the man when Tikva comes up to him with such alarm. "Princess Tikva, what in the world is the matter?" he asks softly , reaching a hand to her arm.

Sir Dalan, Longsuffering Valardin Knight arrives, following Clover.

Tikva checked composure + etiquette at difficulty 15, rolling 7 lower.

Mayir stops when Saedrus greets him, and looks somewhat baffled when the Whisper asks if he is bidding on the pieces. "Oh, no," he says with a shake of his head. "Not at all. I've got --" He then considers the better of it. "A little too rich for my blood. Hi, Mae." He leans down to give the other Grayhope a quick hug. And then he is off to pick up two glasses of wine.

Tikva splutters, gestures animatedly -- wordlessly -- and then throws up her hands. She says: "Who knows!"

Edward's arrival is with a small escort it seems. A finger motioning both the marine and his ever present shadow off to do as they desire. The Baron of Whitefrost greets Saedrus with a polite smile and a polite bow before he ushers himself along, the twin weapons he wears singing along the back of his legs as he moves into the interior of the garden. He looks around while he moves to find a place to sit near the fountain, taking a moment to snatch a flute of wine from the refreshments as he passes.

Clover is just a step or two behind Edward, though she's moving a bit slowly. Blonde hair in a braid tonight, but her only adornment her family ring. A glance is given around the room at the pieces of art, her teeth worrying against her lower lip.

"Not this evening, Whisper Saedrus -- only out to the enjoy the lovely spring evening surrounded by beauty. His Majesty did remind me to make the time to enjoy such things." Carita murmurs, offering the welcoming gentleman with a slight smile. She chooses to sit at one of the swinging seats that happens to be surrounded by roses, leaning over slightly to breathe in the perfume of one bloom. She smiles, again, to herself - privately pleased.

"Ahhhh, thank you." Calaudrin replies to Monique, just in time to see Tikva enter and begin gesturing all over the place. He takes a cautious step back and /away/ from the painting of her that's going for lots and lots of silver. "How have you been?" If he keeps talking to Monique, Tikva will never notice him. A brilliant plan.

"Hello darling," Saedrus whispers as he tips his head to Mae and returns the cheek kiss -- though his eyes are still turned to the wild expressions from Tikva. "Who-- knows, what?" he asks with a flutter of of his eyes. Still concerned for whatever the hell is going on, he does spare attention to Mayir and Carita with a chuckle. "Well it is lovely you are both able to attend, please enjoy yourselves." And his gave is back on Tikva.

Nisaa had arrived early and found a quiet nook within the garden to compose herself. Dressed in the style of an Eurusi dancer, draped in aeterna, silver, and pearls, she occasionally stretches out a lim, rolls her neck, or gives a small shimmy or shake as she goes through her movements in her mind. She is currently not paying attention to the crowd that begins to gather, though verdigris eyes on occasion peek through the vines to see who may have come.

Samantha makes her way into the Grotto, apparently seeking distraction. It's rare that she indulges in flagrant spending, but it's for a good cause. There are many familiar faces, and she smiles in greeting toward anyone who looks her way.

Carita starts to blurt out, surprised, "La -- ah, no, Princess Tikva! It's been forever and a day. You look utterly stunning this evening. How are you?"

Mae returns the hug given by Mayir, and follows it with a cheek kiss. "Hi, Mayir," she says, with a smile. "Lady Carita," she says, once the hug is through, and she offers a formal bow to the Darkwater Voice. She straightens up, then gives another look around. There's faces she spots, and smiles at, if she catches their eye. Calaudrin and Monique. Tikva and her flailing. But it's Princess Sabella that Mae spends far longer than is appropriate staring at.

Tikva controls the spazzy flail of her hands and whispers in a slightly more contained way to Saedrus with a flush pinking her cheeks. Then she bites the curve of her lower lip, scrunching her nose still further, and then goes, "Er!" and manages not to strangle herself in her scarf as she turns her bright gaze to Carita. "Ack," she says, and then smiles. "Hi! Lady Carita, it's been forever. What a lovely gown! Very springy! Did you know my likeness is apparently very popular for some reason?!" Too much energy.

MOnique waves to Samantha's arrival, and Mae's, before turning back to Calaudrin. "I've been all right. Better, certainly, than when you last saw me. Less disturbed. Unless you have anything *else* you want to show me?" she teases him.

When Mia arrived, it was as she always did -- in a flurry of skirts kicked up around her ankle, such was the pace that she walked at. Entering the Grotto, however, was rather like finding a sudden obstacle in her path. She blinked as she was greeted at the door, catching sight of the lush garden over the attendant's shoulders. A soft sigh escaped her then. Yes, it was entirely too pleasant a place for her to hurry though, even if it would be more efficient.

Sabella slips in quietly, treading gracefully into the bathhouse and gardens in a soft drape of citrine silk that hugs her form. Her long, golden tresses have been rolled and pinned up on one side while the rest of her tresses fall freely over her other. A smile is given to Saedrus as she moves to greet him as the trail of patrons move in, a gracious dip given. "Once more a pleasure," she chimes softly to the Whisper even as she straightens. With Mae not far to the side, her gaze lifts towards the young woman, curiosity present at the stare. "It seems we meet again as well Mistress Mae. I hope you have been well."

The trays had a wide variety of wines; dry whites, floral roses, sumptuous or dark loamy reds, lightly sweet sparklings -- all in long stemmed glass, bowls or flutes. There is whiskey though, for those that prefer it.

The food available is light, reminiscent of the spring tides, and each tray decorated with fresh, edible flowers. There are fruits; peaches, oranges, strawberries and apricots, some sugar dusted, others chocolate covered and candied orange peels. Sweetened cream in dipping bowls trot passed on one or another tray. For those without a sweet tooth there are little savoury pastries with lightly seasoned venison, others of just vegetables.

Edward has joined the Tables and chairs before the fountain.

"I've been better too. Actually I've experienced some rather /nice/ things lately as opposed to the opposite. Though I expect that's soon to change, I don't have the kind of luck to sustain such pleasent things for long." Calaudrin replies to Monique, still watching Tikva from the corner of his eye over there. He rocks on his heels and comments, "I see that you've been busy bidding."

Sabella has left the Couches before the fountain.

Mayir returns the kiss to Mae's cheek and then smiles warmly at her, letting her slip off to mingle with the others. He then notices the dancer and makes his way towards her, giving her a warm embrace and kiss to cheek. "Oh my goodness, Nisaa," he says, looking down at her. "You look phenomenal. I'll be staring even if not for the dancing." It is a little bit of teasing. But just a little.

%"Mistress Grayhope-and-Culler," Carita returns wih a quick curl of a clever smile, lifting a hand to wiggle her fingers in greeting toward Mae and her bow. Then, her sea-blue gaze flickers off -- back toward Tikva as she begins to speak in a very animated fashion. Aaaaand Carita remains composed, although, she smiles faintly. "No. I didn't know that. Thank you very kindly for the compliments, your Highness!"

Samantha inclines her head to Monique, looking relieved to see that Mae is no longer missing, but her steps are taking her in Tikva's direction like she's worried that the Grayson by marriage might start some kind of pandemic of flailing. "Tikva? Whatever's wrong?"

Thena slips through the gathering and makes her way over to Nisaa among the vines. "Nisaa Whisper. I'm sorry to bother you, but I wanted to say I'm so glad you could make it here this evening. I look forward to your performance." And there's Mayir, who gets a flicker of a smile. "Cousin."

Tikva smears her hands over her face as though attempting to scour the flush from her skin by the friction of her palms. The success of this venture is somewhat limited. She gives Saedrus a slightly helpless look, and then laughs. "Gods," she says. "Nothing's wrong, everything's fine. You know they warned me I was a painting, but..." she fails to finish the thought beyond the slight widening of her eyes.

Mae continues to stare, awkwardly, until Sabella is looking right at her. And then Mae's eyes go very wide. "Hi!" she says, too loudly. Then clears her throat. "Hi, your highness..." she says. "It's... uh. Nice to see you again..." she murmurs quickly. And then she abruptly turns and heads in the direction of one of the paintings, and away from everyone else.

Saedrus reaches out for Tikva and chuckles, "your Highness," he says, steadily and takes one of the passing trays to collect a glass of brandy for Tikva. "There is no need to fret, why not enjoy yourself, mm? Have a drink and well, I would watch with eager interest to see how much your likeness is going for, yes? It is for a good cause after all." The Whisper's attention draws to Sabella and he smiles brightly with an elegant bow, "Princess Sabella, such a pleasure to see you again. I do hope you enjoy yourself, and I am sure I will see you at some point during the evening."

Petal continues to keep her silent perch. She seems a bit overwhelmed by the crowds. Her cheeks are pink for some reason another.

"Dame Thena --" another wriggle of fingers in a wave toward the Grayhope-gone-Godsworn. Carita inclines her head slightly, sea-blue eyes widening. "You're wearing a gown." Observational, not in any sort of disbelief. "You also look perfectly lovely this evening."

Edward settles in at his seat by the fountain and he stretches his legs out and lounges. He dips the dark wine that he picked up and looks at it for a moment and then he turns his attention back to the arrivals. From the failing exuberant Tikva to the more sedate arrivals of Thena and Samantha. He even gives a glance over to Mayir and gives the man a smile and a lift of his glass for a moment if the other looks at him.

"Probably more than I should," Monique admits to Calaudrin with a light chuckle. "My brother will have my hide, I'm sure, but we need lovely things to decorate the Lodge with. And, life is too short to deny yourself lovely things, no? What sort of nice things have happened for you, if I might ask?"

Nisaa giggles softly, returning Mayir's hug, then giving each of his cheeks a small kiss in greeting, one, then the other. "It is good to be seeing you, Friend Mayir." Color paints across her cheeks at the compliment. "Thank you. I was in a rush, but Mistress Alarie did a beautiful job seeing to my outfit." She does a small spin, slow, as to not set the skirts and pearl fringes flying out too far. "Don't you think?" She turns to smile to Thena. "It is not of being a bother! I am honored to be here for you, Dame Thena, and I hope that you can see what the story you gifted me with did to inspire me in the dance." She places her hands together and does a small bow to the Dame.

Clover drifts on through, grabbing a program from the box. A dip of her chin is given toward Edward as she passes by him on her way to find a place to sit, "Baron Stormbreak." Oh wait her head, turns she caught the sound of a familiar voice. She zeroes in on Mae next! And heads in that direction.

Calaudrin grabs a glass of red off the tray of a passing server and knocks back some of the drink before responding to Monique. "Well, I wasn't murdered by shadows recently. So any day /that/ doesn't happen..." He trails off there, perhaps not so open to share in the midst of a large party. "You know, though actually..." And he leans lightly forward to ask her something in a lowered volume of tone.

Thena actually curtsies to Nisaa, a graceful but slightly disjointed motion. "I'm excited to see what you've come up with." Then she cuts a glance at Carita and flickers a smile. "So I am. I got a bit dinged up the other day; turns out the armor sort of...chafes a little." She smoothes her hands over the gray skirts and while it's true that she's not seen in a dress all that often, she seems at ease in it. "Thank you, Carita. It's good to see you again. Under circumstances that don't include, you know, snakes and things."

Edward smiles as he gives a nod to Clover, "Lady Wyrmguard." he seems about to say something more when she turns quickly and begins to make her way off. Edward chuckles and sips his wine some more as he takes a look around the rest of the room and then he gives a half-smile while he shifts to get comfortable while he enjoys sipping on the wine.

Mayir returns Nissaa's cheek-kisses in turn and beams at her as she twirls. "Absolutely perfect. You should be the attention of every man and woman here tonight," he praises her. "I can't wait until you dance." He then gives Thena a hug, too, because she is family. "Hey, cousin. I ought to get Lady Carita her wine." And then he goes to pick up tow glasses and give one to the Darkwater Voice.

Mae stands in front of The Knight In Service, staring at the painting, with a thoughtful frown on her lips. Though that's hard to see. Clad in dark fabric and small, she might as well be a shadow. But sensing the approach of another, she looks aside, and catches sight of Clover. She stares for a moment. She blinks. And then she offers a warm smile. "Lady Clover," she says. "Hi."

"It certainly is," Tikva says a little weakly as she takes the glass. Tilting it in a toast to Saedrus, she takes a sip. "Snakes," she repeats with a slight widening of her eyes at Thena. "You have been having a week, haven't you," and her glance flicks between the Dame and the Lady with a slightly more composed and hinted smile.

Monique leans in, carefully holding her own wine glass away from Calaudrin so he doesn't end up wearing the fine red. She listens, an eyebrow quirking up and a smile claiming her lips. She murmurs something back quietly.

"Lady Lucita did mention that snakes and things do promote a certain amount of bonding and trust among almost-strangers, Dame Thena." Carita adds with a sly tilt of her smile, eyes averting for a moment. "Especially when the walls start to close in on you. Especially then." Pressing her lips together, "In fact. Can't wait for the next time it happens --" with such sincerity that she might be serious about it.

Sabella curls her hands lightly before her waist at the bright chirped, wide-eyed greeting from Mae. Her lips part as if to say something to the young woman before Mae has turned upon one heel and fled. Her dark lashes tap against the sides of her cheeks in a slight blink though a subtle, silvery chuckle slips from her lips. Her attention turns back to Saedrus as she chime, "Indeed and it's hard not to enjoy oneself in such lovely surroundings." She lifts one hand then that sweeps towards the bath house and garden as well as the paintings along the trail, "I shall hope to see you as well, do feel free if you find the time to join me if you will though I imagine there are many vying for your attention this evening." With that she dips, the hem of her vibrant citrine dress brushing the ground before she straightens and slips off to the side so others can make their way. A fluted glass plucked from a passing server's tray as her gaze moves over those already gathered.

Thena accepts the hug from Mayir with just a little bit of awkwardness because that's how she accepts hugs from people she's fine with hugging, patting at his back a little before releasing him to wine duties. "Congratulations on the patronage," she says, glancing between the two, and then flashes a weak grin at Tikva. "I think the snakes were maybe two weeks ago?" Another glance at Carita, and a murmured, "Sorry about the thing with the lever."

Saedrus touches a kiss to Tikva's cheek and smiles, as comfortingly as he can despite amusement. He lets Tikva off to speak with Thena, now that the Princess is secured with a glass of brandy. The courtier regards the room and lets his voice carry easily enough to be heard and not raise his voice. "Thank you everyone for coming this evening, and for those that have been putting in bids for the wonderful artwork. Also, there is a great thanks to the artists that made this possible -- and their muses -- and for Dame Thena for bringing all of this together."

"The bids will be open for another half-an-hour so be sure to keep an eye on the auctioned pieces. And too, I am absolutely honoured to say we will be blessed with entertainment this evening from the Whisper House's most lovely Whisper Nisaa with a dance." Saedrus gestures off to lovely Nisaa with that and a smile to the girl. There's no prompting that she /has/ to dance this minute but the open space beneath the boughs of coin-strung trees is certainly ready for her.

"Thank you, Mayir," Carita replies as she removes the burden of one glass of wine from his hand. She sips, sits back, and allows the momentum to start the swing of the seat - catching herself before she laughs /too/ loudly.

Clover slips closer to hug Mae if allowed. Though it's very, very gentle. There's a gingerness to Clover's movements. She smiles at the other smol girl and says, "I'm glad you're not actually missing, Mae. I was worried." She folds her hands behind her back and looks to the sculpture Mae was looking at, then back to Mae. "It's ...really nicely done."

Calaudrin is politely quiet when Saedrus speaks, drinking slowly from his glass until the conclusion. When Monique speaks to him, he tips his head back and forth before leaning in again to continue the conversation.

Nisaa is left alone by the vines once more when Mayir dashes off to procure some wine for Carita. Taking that time to peruse those in attendance, smiling at the few that she knows, she is startled to hear her name mentioned so soon by Saedrus. Verdigris eyes flash open wider and she gives a small curtsy towards him, then a nod. "Soon," she says. "I can be dancing soon?"

The words from Saedrus drew Mia's attention -- and prompted a faint nod from the Countess. Gathering her long skirts up in one hand, she carefully picked her way through the gardens to make a last consideration of -- or perhaps an inspection of, really -- the pieces where they stood. Her head canted to one side to take in the painting of Silver, lips pursing faintly with thought.

Soon as Clover is close enough, Mae leans in and kisses the little noblewoman's cheek. Then she slips an arm through Clover's arm, and turns to look back at the statue. "I can't believe everyone... pays so much money for this stuff," she murmurs quietly aside. "I wonder if anyone would pay silver for one of my paintings," she muses, as she stares. There's a pause, then she looks aside once more. "I'm going to do another one... had my inspiration today."

But soon Mayir is back with his wine and near to Nisaa, encouraging her with a warm smile. "Soon," he confirms. "I can't wait! This is more fun than the last art show, I would say," he says. Because the Whisper isn't as freaked out this time.

Clover smiles otward Mae, looking back to the statue and then Mae. She smiles brightly and says, "I'd buy one of your paintings." It's bright. A tilt of her head is given to Mae and she asks, "What was your inspiration?"

Tikva bites her knuckle a little and says, "Oh, I see." Then she takes another, larger swallow from the brandy glass. "A busy /few/ weeks, then."

Mae stares at Clover for a long moment, considering the question. She brought it up! Yet there seems to be a touch a hesitation there. Finally, she leans in, towards Clover, to whisper to the blonde. The words are said with a smile, then she turns her eyes back to the statue.

Saedrus chuckles, stepping aside to find Nisaa. "Whenever you are ready, darling." The Softest Whisper smiles, "you look lovely, I must say. And thank you so much for dancing for us this evening."

While Sabella glances back towards Mae for a moment, her gaze doesn't linger as Clover approaches and the pair greet one another. She moves quietly along the path herself in the slow drift of silk as her gaze finally comes to rest upon each piece up for auction in turn. She pauses a long moment at the painting of Lady Tivka for the flailing that preceded it. A sip taken from her glass before her gaze slides to the woman herself, a slight nod given mostly to herself even as a smile curls at the corners of her lips before gazing back once more. Eventually she moves on, stealing out towards the outer edges and those remaining away from the crowd at large.

Tikva seems to be less likely to turn into a whirlwind, and so Sam eases away to allow for more socializing. She does seem to be one of the more quiet folk, intent on regarding the artworks.

Giving Mayir a slightly embarassed sort of smile, Nisaa comments, "it is a lighter subject, but all of the art is being as wonderful for both. That one just had a, urr... like a dagger stabbing into my chest feel?" She looks around and says, "this one is being more honorific? Is that word right?" Smiling a touch easier towards Saedrus, she says, "it is being an honor for me to do so. I only hope I can bring, urr... do a good job."

Thena prods the edge of a bandage that peeps out from under the shoulder of her gown and notes, "A busy few weeks for all of us, I think." Then, more brightly, "Did you see the painting of you? I thought Cal was a bit of a hack at first with all those kitten paintings but he's really starting to show some actual talent."

Having caught sight of the Marquessa, Mia inclined her head deeply to her liege, but made no move to interrupt Samantha's viewing should she seem intently focused on the art.

Clover murmurs quietly in return to Mae with a small smile upon her lips. A glance is given to the statue in front of them, and then to the departing Sabella. A small wince is given and she looks back to Mae, "Oh no, were you talking to someone? Did I interrupt, I'm sorry."

Monique is still clustered with Calaudrin, near the painting of Tikva. The two are chatting quietly, and the fiery redhead looks animated.

"That was /Cal/?" Tikva turns her gaze from Thena to Calaudrin across the room with a distinct eye-narrowing. "Why in the world did he decide to paint me of all people?" she demands plaintively. A beat. "It would have been way more accurate /after/ the Fomorian squashed me flat, but probably less inspiring. I guess."

Edward finally finishes his flute of wine and rises to his feet. He adjusts his sword belt for a moment and then he steps away from where he was sitting. He snatches up another flute from a passing server and begins to walk over to look at some of the pieces, going to the shield statue first in consideration of it.

"You will do wonderfully, darling," Saedrus assures Nisaa brightly. "I will speak to you again in a moment," evergreens cast to Mayir and Saedrus dips his head politely. "Master Mayir." Then Saed gently moves off into the crowd to see that his attendants are doing their job.

Mae flashes a quick smile to Clover, and nods. "That's the hope," she says, slightly louder. And then Mae blinks a few times, and turns to follow Clover's gaze. She spots the departing Sabella, and Mae's eyes go wide. "Oh, um... no! No, I, um..." She considers a moment, and then she leans in to Clover again, to whisper, again.

Thena didn't know Tikva didn't know. And Thena clearly doesn't care that she spilled the beans. "Mmm-hmm." She nicks a glass of something off of a serving tray being carried past. "I like it though. His other shit is incredibly depressing."

"My kitten paintings are going to pay for my new armor, thank you very much." Calaudrin states suddenly, speaking up from his in depth conversation with Monique. Which very clearly calls attention onto himself and he looks at Tikva with an uncertain smile. "It turns out you're very popular?" Clearing his throat he returns to the previous conversation with a bit of a frown, "Probably a few more weeks. It's been slow going. But I think we're all caught up in this other bullshit, so." And he makes with a rueful smile this time. It's clear 'other' bullshit is /not/ the art auction, but what's transpiring beyond that.

"Countess Mia." Samantha offers her vassal a nod, a faint smile on her lips. "Are you enjoying the Grotto? The Marquis and I were here just the other night, in the baths. You should bring Thesarin sometime."

Clover looks between Mae and Sabella for a moment and her lips quirk up a little bit more. An impish smile curled at her lips. She tilts her head after the departing princess, lowering her voice to murmur to Mae.

Sabella passes Edward even as she moves though she turns a moment as her cerulean gaze slips from the man to the shield. "It is quite exquisite. I can only imagine at the immense amount of time to wrought such a beautiful sculpture," she chimes softly. With the movement of her form away from Mae and Clover, she doesn't seem to note their words from so far away nor whispers. Simply time and space.

Edward glances to Sabella and he gives a nod, "It seems to be the best made piece among the offerings." he says as he looks at the Princess. He smiles to her and then he motions, "And that a shield like this on display is a rare thing. I think it might look good in the halls of Whitefrost." he considers it and then he glances to her Sabella, "Do you plan to take something with you this evening, Your Highness?"

Tikva scruffs her hand back through her hair even as she sips from her brandy, letting the liquor evaporate on her tongue. "Apparently," she says. Her glance slides along the room, and then she AMBUSHES CALAUDRIN like a weirdo. It's a hug ambush. Better dodge out of the way. Also they are both wearing metal so it's probably a /noisy/, /clangy/ hug ambush. She mutters something to him in process.

"I have, in truth, never seen it before, Your Excellency," Mia replied, returning Samantha's faint, fleeting smile with one of her own. Until there was mention of the baths, at least, at which point that smile became a twitch to her lips, though it was difficult to say what expression, exactly, it was she was trying to surpress. "It's lovely, really. The garden especially. Though I believe the Count is more accustomed to wildflowers than hot-house gardens, and can't be certain what he might think of the idea." A pause. "Have you seen the painting of our dear Tikva?"

"Fair," Monique nods to Calaudrin, easily side-stepping out of the way of Tikva and the clash of metal.

Gross, hugs. Thena sidesteps on her end as well, to let Tikva barrel on over there, and then takes a thoughtful sip from her glass.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Mae before departing.

Making a second attempt, now that she has been purposefully left to her own devices, Carita enjoys the swing again - crossing her legs at the ankle. Head tipped back against the seat, eyes closed. She takes sips from her wine ever so often, humming lightly.

Mae listens for Clover's whispers, all while she stares off towards... well. Somewhere. Someone. Probably nowhere, right? No one? Certainly not a blonde princess. And then a moment later, her face is flushing red, and she delivers a soft elbow to Clover's side. "Clover!" she protests, in a hiss. Not exactly subtle. And Mae seems aware that was too loud. Graciously, it's then that a messenger flags her down. "I-... Behave!" she orders the little noblewoman. And then she turns to take the message, and focus on anything else!

"I'll be in touch-" CRASH. Tikva wearing armor cause a great deal of noise when she barrels into him. Calaudrin spills some of his wine onto himself and looks a little sad, but he does return the hug. After the shock of the impact has worn off. He begins to laugh and gives her a rather skeptical look before replying, "Sure, okay. Evidence speaks for itself, hm?"

There is a young man dressed simply sitting under one of the willow trees. Branches and garland of gold coins practically obscuring him from view completely. Nisaa moves to stand before that tree, those same branches and coins serving as a backdrop to her. Poking her head inside the canopy, she whispers softly to him. He hands her a sword, gleaming silver with a curved blade, which she settles on the ground. She makes no announcement that she is to begin, but takes a deep breath and closes her eyes. Soon, from under the willow tree, a soft, exotic sounding drumming beat begins.

Nisaa slowly leans to her left, body bending in a sweeping motion that brings her hand to the hilt of the sword on the ground. Fingers curl around the hilt and she then moves towards her right, sweeping the sword up in an arc until it is held high over her head. She pauses there, turning her head to look at the blade as she brings it across and slowly down until the pointed tip meets her other hand. The look upon her face is reverent, as if this simple blade of shining silver is precious. Both hands bring it down and in front of her, then back up over her head in a circle. She repeats the circular motion, but this time, does a simple spin before she faces the crowd once more, curved sword held over her head like a crescent moon on its side.

Mayir looks over at Mae and seems confused at her far-off look. But he then moves over and is behind Carita while she swings herself on the swing. He uses the vantage point to watch Nisaa's dance, his free hand, not on the drink, idly pushing Carita on the swing. Not too high.

Saedrus finishes speak with his attendants, who are merrily continuing their way about the party with trays of treats and drinks, to step up beside Thena. "A lovely turn out, is it not?" he asks as he touches a kiss to Thena's cheek. The courtier's attention though falls on Nisaa as her dance starts up. "She is a magnificent dancer," he notes happily -- proud Softest Whisper.

Monique grins over at Tikva. "I don't expect my bid to last. Prince Laric has quite the bankroll, I'm afraid, and he did seem set on getting this painting."

Sabella turns more fully towards Edward as he speaks, the fluted glass in her hand curled in her fingertips as the liquid within swirls at her movement. "Rare, indeed," she offers in agreement even as a warm smile graces her lips. "Might I assume you have bid upon it for your interest?" Her query is soft, curious. At his question she gives a soft shake of her head, few golden tresses spill from over her shoulder to tumble along the open expanse of her back. "For all of the beauty I wish I could say that I was however I find myself.. reacquainting myself with the city once more and my position here as it were."

"I was thinking the tubs might have some appeal." Samantha confesses, then nods eagerly. "I did. The artistry is superb. I was considering bidding on the stein, myself." But whether consideration has made its way to commited action is not necessarily apparent. To Mia, "How marvelous would it be for such a tapestry to adorn Heron Hall, though?"

Obnoxiously, Tikva ruffles her hand at the top of Calaudrin's head before she disengages. "Sorry about your drink. Let's get you another drink. More drinks!" She ducks her head, and smiles at Monique. "I'm honored you wanted it at all, my lady," she says lightly. "Laric's a dear." Most people probably do not call the Master of Questions a 'dear' in ordinary conversation.

Thena turns, a little startled by Saedrus' cheek kiss but giving the man a pass as she smiles and watches Nisaa take the 'stage'. "It's been amazing. I'm so pleased, and this is such a perfect way to close it out." She gestures with her glass, to the Gardens in general but mostly to the graceful dancer.

Petal is still perched on the rose swing, seemingly rather shy about the whole situation. She does peek over to Edward and Sabella, seemingly aware of their words. They are given a smile that touches her brown eyes.

Edward sips from his glass and he nods, "If I am lucky then yes I might see this piece where I like." he glances to the shield again and once more back to the Princess. He watches her closely as she smiles and he motions, "Ah ha! That is perfectly reasonable. When I first arrived in Arx some time ago, a dock hand dropped my travel chest into the bay...costing me everything that was in it, which was the sum of what I owned." he chuckles softly, "So is there something you favor here more than this exquisite piece?"

Monique grins and moves on to a different painting, tossing Calaudrin a wave of farewell.

"I am, I admit, as interested in meeting the artist as I was taken by the work. Moreso, even. For the painting, that is. For the tapestry? It was the piece I've been giving the most consideration, along with the shield, just there." Mia replied, gesturing gently with a glass of wine that she'd picked up somewhere along the way. "The wings held a particular appeal, and I think it's a stunning piece." A beat, a sip, and then she asks, "Did the stein remind you of the Marquis?"

Nisaa Brings the blade slowly down in front of her body. As it reaches chest-height, her torso begins to undulate, like waves rising and falling to greet the silver blade that hovers just over her skin. Arms lowered when the blade reaches the belt of her skirts, she begins to bend backwards in a graceful arc, balancing the curve of the sword on the top of her right pelvic bone that rises above the aeterna skirts. Once it is set, her arms weave over her torso, her head lifted so she can see what she is doing, though she is bent back at quite a high degree. Fingers are held artfully as the flow through the air over her body until her arms are held out. Moving like the tide, her arms rise and lower in this display of balance until she takes hilt and blade in hand again and slowly straightens up to hold it above her head.

"I don't think I'll ever /not/ be entertained by people buying something I made and keeping it in their home." Calaudrin snorts when his hair is suddenly ruffled. He needs a haircut! He smooths out his head again and is happy for the replacement drink. As Monique moves on, he gives her a quick wave witht his hand.

Nisaa checked dexterity + performance at difficulty 15, rolling 53 higher.

Clover winces when Mae nudges her in the side, a hand lifting to rub at it. She murmurs softly to the other woman, before glancing around. Looking after ... perhaps a blonde princess whos name rhymes with 'ella'? No, definitely not.

Watching the Eurusi dancer has kept Carita's interest, glancing up absently to make eye contact with Mayir, speaking to him in a very low voice - unobtrusive, but still curious.

Though not wanting to draw attention away from Nisaa's dance, Saedrus does lift his voice to announce, "The biddings are now closed. Thank you everyone, if you will allow a moment I will see all the bidding slips collected and those present that have won bids will be announced -- and the total of donated funds. You have all given so generously, both your time and coin to this cause. Thanks goes to Dame Thena, the artists, our lovely Whisper Nisaa and everyone who had a part in brining this together. And of course, to the Knights of Solace and all they have done, and continue to do for the City of Arx and the Compact."

Tikva chortles, and then drains the last of her brandy. Her cheeks a little pink, yet, she says, "Oh, what a lovely dance. The blade really adds a lot."

Monique applauds happily as the auction ends. There's the brightest of smiles on her face. It's blinding.

"It did." Samantha admits. She seems content to remain in place however, so apparently no last minute bids from her. And of course, now the bidding is closed anyway. "Nonetheless it will make someone quite happy."

Saedrus applauds for Nisaa with a brilliant smile, "wonderful, thank you Whisper Nisaa."

Tikva is overheard praising Nisaa for: So elegant!

Mayir claps and whistles for Nisaa's dance, clearly entranced by her work and one of her biggest supporters in the audience. He did come out to support the dancer. And so he is.

Tikva is overheard praising Saedrus for: The charmingest of hosts.

Saedrus is overheard praising Nisaa for: A sublime dancer and exquisite courtier

Calaudrin is overheard praising Thena for: For believing in me even if I paint kittens!

Tikva is overheard praising Thena for: Yay! You do so well for the Knights!

"I can't imagine how she does that," Thena murmurs to no one in particular, watching Nisaa going through her dance.

Mayir is overheard praising Nisaa for: An incredible dancer that is being recognized more and more!

Soft, polite applause to praise the dancer after she finishes. "Lovely, ever so." Cartia compliments.

"I do try to be as supportive as I can in the meantime. So.. here I am," Sabella adds after a moment as Edward sips from his glass. Her eyes brighten at the mention of his chest. She can't resist the soft chuckle to slips from her lips. "My own will spilled out upon roads," she offers in turn. She lifts her glass and murmurs softly as her voice drops, "Which can be quite embarrassing for a ladies things to be strewn about and littered down the road before anyone notices." With that she takes a sip to hide the slightest flush at the thought. She glances then towards the shield before noticing Petal's eyes in their direction. A soft gracious dip of her head is given in greetings. Her voice rises then with after a slow inhale. "Exciting, and good luck to your bid. Admittedly I'm not sure if we've crossed paths before. Sabella Grayson," she offers. It can be difficult to remember at times in larger crowds.

Calaudrin watches the dancing, momentarily quiet as he waits for the breakdown on the bids to come through. He shifts from foot to foot a bit.

It takes a moment for Sabella to answer Edward's last question as her gaze roams the pieces. "It would be far too hard to say, in truth."

Mae tries to read her letter, but her cheeks are now burning, as Clover keeps whispering. Abruptly, she turns, and plants a kiss on Clover's lips. Square on the lips. Then she pivots and, without a word, starts out of the gardens. Mae will only break her exit trajectory to whisk by Thena, planting a kiss on the other Grayhope's cheek before continuing on out, without a word, cheeks burning all the while.

"I hope so. All of the pieces were lovely; you should've seen the furor that the chair caused on opening night." Mia offered Samantha her arm, just then, and shook her head faintly. "There was a line to sit in it. I do believe our own Esoka was the first, testing it for its sturdiness, of course." There was a little sparkle in the Countess' eye at that, a hint of mischief, though no smile. "If it's going to be a camp chair, I do think having a knight in full armor resting in it is a fair expectation."

"Ah yes that could be quite embarrassing." Edward glances to Nisaa a moment as she dances and he smiles before he looks back to Sabella and he nods as she answers his question, "Indeed. So I had to pick one and be happy with the hopes of winning it." he looks at the shield and then back to her, "Forgive me Your Highness," he smiles a little more, "Edward Stormbreak, Baron of Whitefrost and siege commander of the Maelstrom home fleet." he brings a fist to his chest in a salute to her, "We have not met before but we have enjoyed some of the same events. I think the circle of social chaos at the time just did not bring us to introduce."

"Congratulations to Baron Edward and Lady Monique Greenmarch on your winning bids. I will see the artwork readied for transport," Saedrus begins, "And as another note, the total funds raised in donation to the Knights of Solace is a staggering 500,012 silver!" another applause from the courtier.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Saedrus before departing.

Monique seems happy to congratulate herself, and moves over to Saedrus, leaning close to whisper.

Well. Then.

Clover blinks a moment and lifts a hand to touch her mouth, a glanc eis given around and she coughes. Giving applause for the amount of silver donate, and then she's attempting-- with burning cheeks --to sneak back out of the gardens.

This is a slower dance than she often does. Her movements careful and practiced, reflecting the danger of the blade and the respect it should be given, though the fluid way Nisaa moves is still quite sensual in nature. She gives a small dip of her head and a smile to Saedrus at his words, though at this point she is so enveloped in the freedom of the dance she could go on without anyone watching. And so, she does, though she does take a step back to become less a focus. She rests the blade then on her head, curve side down, shimmying slightly as she lowers it there. Her hips move gently from side to side as she finds the balance point, though it does not take her long. Immediately, her arms lower, hands and fingers telling a story as they move through the air as seamlessly as they would through water; to the left, to the right, over her body as she turns to the side and bends back once more. Straightening, she turns to face the crowd again and ever so slowly moves like a snake down until she is kneeling on the ground.

Edward is overheard praising Nisaa for: Superb performance

Seriously, this is far too much getting kissed for one evening and Thena raises her dark eyes skyward with a little sigh as Mae bolts before making her way over to Mia and Samantha and interjecting quietly, "I promise we don't use aeterna chairs out in the field."

Mia is overheard praising Saedrus for: A stunning event, as always.

Edward is overheard praising Saedrus for: Wonderful fundraiser

Clover is overheard praising Thena.

Clover is overheard praising Saedrus.

Saedrus picks up A Knight's Determination.

Calaudrin leans closer to the picture to get a look at the final vid and whistles. He just shakes his head and shrugs his shoulders. "I need to go into a better line of work." Is all he can say on that and drains his second glass of wine.

Sir Dalan, Longsuffering Valardin Knight leaves, following Clover.

Saedrus picks up The Storming of Arx - Lady Tikva.

Saedrus picks up a winged shield of solace.

Saedrus picks up a sturdy chain with an enameled pendant bearing the likeness of Mangata.

Saedrus picks up a fine chain with an enameled pendant bearing the likeness of Gild.

Saedrus picks up a stein with a carved figure of a knight and steed.

Saedrus picks up a round-bottom leather flask of the Silver Order.

Saedrus picks up Grandmaster Donovan's Stand.

Saedrus picks up Silver, first Knight of Solace.

Samantha looks over to Mia. "I think I'm going to retire. It was enough to see the art, and envy those who succeeded in acquiring it." She then looks to Thena, laughing softly. "I can't imagine such a thing. But the Knights are often not as thanked as they should be for their efforts."

Petal has a gentle smile for Saebella when she looks in her direction. She has remained rather silent, but she does peek over to Mia and Samantha, giving them a smile too.

Petal is overheard praising Thena for: Great fundraiser

Petal has left the Swinging seats amongst roses.

Soot, a gray foxhound puppy leaves, following Petal.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Saedrus before departing.

Carita's so calm that she only blushes because she chooses to - so, the tint of rose-pink color that touches her cheeks is more a courtier's affectation than not. She takes a sip of her wine, fingers curled around the stem - lips set against the rim of the glass as she continues to speak quietly to Mayir. A curve of a smile hidden.

Sabella's gaze follows Edwards towards the shield once more. His own turning back before hers as he speaks once more. "Oh, nothing to forgive in the slightest. I've been meeting so many that I fear I'm certain to slip up somewhere. A pleasure, Baron Stormbreak to make your acquaintance." Her smile warms as his fist meets his chest, she dips gracefully in turn the fingertips of her free hand lifting her draped silks this time to keep from brushing the ground. "Aye, it can be chaos. Fun at times, exhausting at others but yet worth it all." She lifts her glass in toast then, "And to more ahead." Her head turns for a moment towards Saedrus as he'd called the last of the bidding, her form turning in profile towards the man and towards Thena as well.

At Thena's interjection, Mia cocked a brow. It was a skeptical expression at best, but another twitch from her lips indicated a contained smile -- and a teasing one at that. "And here I thought it was that our bids were going to fund an entire dining set for the Grandmaster's tent. If that's not the case, I hope you'll find another worthy cause for all the funds..."

As Monique passes by Calaudrin once more, the Minx winks, reaches out a hand to pat his shoulder unless he moves. "Worth every penny. I'm hopeful I'll be able to convince you to..." she leans forward, the last part muttered.

"Ohh!," she added, at the Marquessa's announcement. "Be well, then, my lady. And your family, too. I hope to see your sweet girl again soon." Mia curtsied deeply before Samantha left.

The tempo of the drum beat deepens and picks up the pace. She slides back to rest her rear upon her heels, then lifts up to settle towards the left, then up to settle to the right. her hands move out and away from her body, as if telling it how and where to follow. Eventually, she settles on her left hip, extending her arm to balance herself as she stretches her legs out and away from her. She must move slowly, so as not to upset the blade upon her head. Slowly, she turns her body to rest upon her rear, but does not stop there.

Nisaa continues to roll onto her right hip, and around, on her belly, then back to her rear. Feet crossing at the ankles, she lifts her torso up, arms resting on elbows as her back arches, leaving nothing between her body and ground but air except for those points. Stomach muscles flex, pushing out and in, again mimicking the motions of a wave. She tilts her head forward, letting the blade fall to her stomach as she lays flat on the ground, only to lift it once more, tilting it to catch in the light, reflecting silver brightly across the room. She stills then until the drumming comes to an end.

Mayir chats with Carita comfortably as the two of them watch the Whisper dancing her heart out in the gardens, letting out a little cheer and whistle as the dance comes to an end. "Well done!" he calls out to the Whisper. And then back to the murmurs with Carita.

Saedrus excuses himself briefly, moving aside to speak with Thena in a whisper before the courtier takes his leave of the gardens. A small group of attendants take up all the art work to see it delivered.

Edward smiles with her dip and he inclines his head in acknowledgement, "I would not begrudge you any slips with such exciting meetings such as these events. I had to take a few myself before I was able to begin to recognize people by sight much less by name." The Baron pauses as Saedrus names him a victor and he nods to the man but soon his attention turns back to the Princess. He lifts his glass with hers, "Those to come and future encounters." he takes a sip from his wine.

Calaudrin is mid-drink when Monique passes him and he snorts softly for what remark she makes. There's an amused glint to his expression as he watches her leave, giving his head another shake. The glass is deposited somewhere and he makes his way to Thena to clap her on the shoulder. "Good job."

Kit, the grey fox, Brigid the Genet leave, following Monique.

It takes a moment for the totals to sink in, but when it does, Thena looks a bit taken aback. But applauds, eventually, before canting a grin at Mia. "I'll manage," she says with dry humor, and then adds with a bit more gravity, "I've got two combat units in the field right this moment, and sending more soldiers to the Oathlands and the Mourning Isles, so the silver really couldn't come at a better time." Another pause for applause, this round particularly enthusiastic, as Nisaa finishes her dance. "Beautiful! Thank you so much, Nisaa Whisper!" Then there's Saedrus at her elbow who gets a warm perk of a smile for his words, and a clap on the shoulder from the kitten artist du jour. "Thank you, Cal. I basically just showed up."

Thena is overheard praising Nisaa for: A lovely, inspired performance.

"The Reach is mostly made of basalt and volcanic rock, Master Grayhope. I do hope that answers that specific question to your satisfaction --" Carita replies as she tips back her head, to finish off the rest of her wine. Pale lips stained scarlet, she offers a sweetly sunny smile to her protege and hops out of the swinging seat to deposit the empty glass on a server's empty tray. With a fick of her wrist to send the massy sweep of white-gold hair back over her shoulder, the Darkwater noblewoman sketches out a curtsy to the gathering. "It was such a pleasure. I look forward to meeting familiar faces again - I look forward to meeting new faces in the future. Good night."

"I would be happy to make a donation, Dame Grayhope, auction aside." But then there were others clamouring for the Knight's attention. First Saedrus, who she offered a deep nod. And then Calaudrin, who was unfamiliar. As Calaudrin clapped his hand on Thena's shoulder, Mia -- who had been standing with her -- blinked a few times, her lashes fluttering. Cal? There was a pause from her, perhaps a touch too long of one. "Would you, by chance, be Cal-Calaudrin? Calaudrin Estards, the artist who painted the portrait of Princess Tikva? Calaudrin Estardes of the Iron Guard?"

Golden tresses flicker at the bare of her back before she turns towards Edward once more. "Congratulations are in order," she chimes with a lilt and another lift of her glass. "I'd ask to come see where you decide to hang out though that might sound a tad forward. So if nothing else perhaps a tale or two will suffice. I pity those who have to carry the weight and hang it," Sabella muses. Her own gaze slighting upon Nisaa for a moment in the last parts of her dance. "Beautiful!" she calls out to the woman even as the dance ends.

Nisaa slides the sword back under the willow to her drummer then gracefully rises to her feet. Giving a gentle curtsy, she smiles bright, dipping her head towards Thena before wandering off to procure a glass of wine for herself and find a place to stand.

"Thank you," Nisaa adds with a smile to those who applaud and compliment her.

"Ah! I was sure it was shale, but I suppose I ought to believe the one who is its Voice!" says Mayir, as if the conversation with his patron has reached a head. "A good day to you. Look forward to seeing you soon." He then makes his way over to Nisaa to give her a big hug. "You did fantastic!" he praises her.

Of course Edward sets his glass on the tray of a passing server now that it is empty and he applauds Nisaa's performance. "Fantastic!" he says with a smile and then he looks at Sabella, focusing on her again, "Forward? I would not find it so. If you wish to see it on display once it is put up I would gladly invite you for tea or coffee and to see the placement." he tucks his hands behind his back and takes an at ease stance as he continues to smile, "But if you prefer a tale or two then I could offer those as well. I was a sailor for quite some time before I arrived in Arx to become...well a soldier now I suppose." which prompts a soft chuckle from him.

Sabella is overheard praising Thena for: For a wonderful setting of events

Farewells doled out, Carita takes her leave.

Carita has left the Swinging seats amongst roses.

Sabella is overheard praising Nisaa for: For the beautiful entertainment

Mia is overheard praising Nisaa for: Sublime!

Sabella is overheard praising Saedrus for: For being ever the gracious host

Calaudrin squints at Mia thoughtfully when she says his name two or three times, including the last name too! "That would be me. Lieutenant Calaudrin Estardes of the Iron Guard. And Sentinel Disciple. Do you want me to arrest someone?" He says this last part very gravely, even if the smile tugging on his mouth isn't entirely serious.

"Countess Mia, I can assure you it would be put to good use, if that is something you'd like to do," Thena says with a smile, then tilts her head as Mia identifies Calaudrin. "He also paints kittens," she offers, ever-so-helpful and toothy-grinning.

Tikva sidles over towards Thena, Mia and Calaudrin with the air of a spectator with a capital S, her eyebrows ticked up and her eyes bright with unbanished humor. Sidle, sidle.

"No," Mia responded briskly, lowering the hand that held her glass of sparkling wine so that she could hold it lightly in front of her, balanced now between interlaced fingers. "But I would like to speak to you, regarding an important matter. Preferably soon. And preferably in private." Both of her brows shot up at him then. While her words were -- technically -- an invitation, something in her tone suggested that was largely a formality. Attendance, it seemed, was not optional. If he did not come seek her out, then sooner or later, she'd likely make a point of finding him. "Mia Riven, Countess of the Twainfort."

Nisaa is swept up into a hug from Mayir. She is careful to return the hug while not spilling her wine down his back. "Oh, thank you, Friend Mayir. I was quite nervous. I am hoping I did a good job to honor the story Thena shared with me. It was about a woman named Lilah Shay, known as Silver." Hearing more praise, Nisaa dips her head to those who call out, the flush on her cheeks darkening. "Thank you, thank you." She smiles towards Edward and wiggles her fingers before dipping her head to him.

Sabella chuckles and finally finishes off her own glass though it remains curled between her fingertips until the next server passes. "I would love to visit and to hear as many tales as you wish to tell. I ought to get out more than just these gatherings as lovely as they are. From the sea to the land. Do you still sail out of curiosity?" Her words are quiet as other move about, some still in conversation, others having already departed. A glance is given towards the night's sky outside with a soft sigh that escapes her lips. "Admittedly I should set off soon myself."

Mayir gives Nisaa tight squeeze and then releases her, taking a step away. "I should leave you to your admirers. But I am so proud of you, Nisaa Whisper," he praises her, a bright bright beam across his lips. "We will take that trip to the Grotto soon, yes?"

"Yes and I paint kittens." Calaudrin can confirm that as well. His eyebrows draw together and he looks faintly confused for a beat or two as Mia addresses him. "Ah, Esoka's Countess." The name of the Twainfort comes with recognition and he nods once. "Certainly. I'll be at my shop this week, I have work to catch up on there before I'm occupied again."

"Then I would love to have you visit." Edward responds with a warm smile to her, "I do still sail yes. Frequently of late in fact. I go between here and the Barony to oversee some projects and to get a face to face with my Castellan. And then for the military effort that just returned a week or so ago from working out in the Mourning Isles." he glances around the room and then offers a smile to Nisaa before he turns back to the Princess, "The hour does grow on and time slips quickly at these events. I should step out as well. Would you mind if I accompanied you out."

Thena picks up The Knight In Service.

Thena picks up a suit of Solace traveling armor and statue.

Thena picks up a Broadsword of the Silver Order.

Tikva's mouth slides wider in a brighter grin, and then the expression fades to a more normally proportioned smile. She reaches up to rake her hand back through the bright fluff of her short hair, and she says, "But you should consider the hospitality of Heron Hall, Lieutenant Estardes. I'm sure you've seen at least some of it?"

Thena picks up The Art of Heroics Program Box.

Thena picks up The Knights of Solace Pamphlet Box.

Nisaa nods to Mayir and says, "we shall, soon, yes. I would like for that." She nods to him, then says, "perhaps I will be going home myself. I am glad that you were able to see me dance. Even if it was not for me you came, I am glad that you were able."

Mayir shakes his head. "I would have come just for you, Whisper Nisaa," he promises. "It was just good luck I had two women clamoring for my company." He touches her arm. "We will talk soon. Thanks again!" And he goes to leave himself.

Over-bright, "Well, I should be going. I'm supposed to rest and the Mercies will come for me if I don't." Thena just sliiiiiides out of the little crowd gathered around her. On her way out she touches Nisaa lightly on the arm and says, "Thank you again. That was truly lovely." And she exits the gardens near silently.

Mia's eyes flicked to Tikva then. It was the only respite that poor Calaudrin received from her measuring stare. Though she didn't smile, she did nod -- sharply. "I think that a proper visit to Heron Hall is in order, Lieutenant. Our table has been fit for the likes of the King and his eternally lovely wife. Surely, it must be suitable for one of His Majesty's watchmen?"

Nisaa is overheard praising Thena for: For giving me the opportunity to dance.

Sabella's smile grows, "I have only been out to sea briefly a few times, I hope to sail one day again," she admits. She nods to his words, her smile falling just slightly at words of their military effort. "Another subject I've been long away from," her statement ceding missing parts of knowledge of all of the events going on. "But it is settled then, perhaps you could offer more insight as well and I would be delighted if you would accompany me out. Most gracious of you." She drifts easily to his side, letting him lead the way.

Edward has left the Tables and chairs before the fountain.

Sombra, 1 Navegant Marines, Sabella leave, following Edward.

Nisaa drinks her wine and sets the empty glass upon a tray before she takes her leave.

Calaudrin turns to Tikva and pleasently replies, "I've been to Heron Hall many times, actually." When his attention returns to Mia, he levels a rather direct look on her and sucks in a breath. "With all due respect, Countess, if you have an urgent matter that you'd like to speak to me about in private it's probably best not done over a large banquet table. And it's certainly not a matter of it being good enough or not, please don't make that mistake."
