Prince Biscuit, the seadog puppy arrives, following Helia.

Auda is totally there, dressed in.. pretty standard Thraxian fare. Blacks and reds, in middling materials. Nothing too fine or fancy, but also not the shabbiness that Auda's used to. She can be seen every now and again just running her fingers over the fabric, but she's generally doing her best to assist Cora!

Faruq ambles down onto the beach from the city gates, his rolling gait handling the shoreline easily. Beaches he is used to far more than stone or unmoving wood underfoot. He pauses on the top of the first dune and takes a deep breath, throwing his coat open he inhales through his nose to absorb the scents of the ocean and exhales with a satisfied sigh: "Finally fresh air hmm?" He chuckles to himself as he starts down the other side of the dune and towards where gatherings of people have started already. A tip of his hat is given to Coraline as he spots her running around: "Highness." Is offered in greeting as he passes on, she's running around, he doesn't expect her to stop. Attention wanders next to Richard and Ford, both of them receiving nods of at least passing familiarity. The smile that lives on his face contrasts his teeth and his skin brilliantly.

Victus had arrived fairly early himself, having found himself a nice seat to settle himself into while more and more folks began to steadily trickle in. His guardsmen were absent from his side, the lot of them having taken to the beaches for a break of their own. After all, with this many Knights about, surely nothing could go wrong. Right? ... Right. The Prince is splayed out rather casually, his ankle atop his knee and his arms spread to either side to cushion himself against the table. An axe rests on his side, his cat behind him and a hound panting away happily all the while. One might describe him as looking vaguely serene of all things.

Elgana arrives arm-in-arm with Lille, the pair of them chattering away to each other in hushed tones as the guards that make up the latter half of their small group just maintain a small distance. Once they get close enough she can spy Coraline running about the Redrain murmurs something and disengages herself from her lady and starts to head toward the Thrax princes, giving a call and a wave as she does: "Cora! Do you need any help with anything?" Any familiar faces she passes get that bright, sunny smile of hers and a little wave.

Reese arrives at the event while adorned in her normal rosy hued tunic and ivory leggings. She has a hood drawn over her abundant golden curls, but the end is decorated with pink ribbons. She moves with all this nimble grace. The warrior princess peeks over the area, getting a feel for things here even as she looks for a place to sit.

Wilhelm the Iron Messenger arrives, following Sparte.

Reese has joined the Beneath Trees.

Richard arrives in a short while. He does so in his shining armor. He seems to have polished it because it seems as if his armor and mace were almost like a mirror sheen. As soon as he arrives closer to the others he performs a simple bow with a fist on his chest. "To those who have not met me, I am Richard Wyrmguard." Then he incorporates himself and puts his hands behind his back.

Oaken, an Oakhaven bloodhound, 4 Novice Keaton Huntsmen, Gigi, an apprentice physician's assistant, Marie, chef of Keaton Hall, Orin, a Felhound sergeant arrive, following Reigna.

Reese lifts her gaze to Richard, having a smile of greeting for the man that touches her blue eyes. "Hi Lord Richard, nice to see you again." She says even while going to curl-up beneath the tree with her slender legs folded to one side.

Rosalie has been rushing around after Coraline, helping with those last minute details, and making sure the Princess doesn't get -too- frazzled. Once people start arriving, she tugs COraline's sleeve and grins, "I think its time to start greeting guests." She gives Cora a small nudge and thumbsup, "I'll take care of the last bits here. You go mingle with your guests!" Then she's moving off to go talk to a few of the servants to make sure some extra bottles and casks are brought in, along with a few more platters of food.

Turning from whatever he was looking at, Ford regards Richard warmly, "Another Wyrmguard? A pleasure." He extends his hand towards the man, "Marquis Ford Kennex. Have you arrived fairly recently?"

At the previous event, Thena was very much in the background working logistics. At this one? She is a blaze of aeterna and gold as she sees to the preparations in the auction area. There's an unfamiliar energy about her, almost a glow. Glancing over the shoulder of the Solace squire she's lecturing, she lifts a hand in greeting to Richard.

Reese looks over to Ford, having a smile of greeting for him as well. "Marquis Ford." She greets. She then waves to Thena. "Hi Commander Thena!"

Edward smiles and inclines his head to Richard, "Well met Lord Wyrmguard. Welcome to the show." he says motioning to the goings on and then he shifts as Ford comes in and he smiles ceding the ground to the Marquis too. He looks over to the Princess and he steps a few steps over there, "Good evening, Princess Reese. I hope you are doing well."

Hermeline, a russet vixen arrives, following Terese.

It is the rare solo-Reigna Keaton that arrives on the beach, sans husband that is her typical escort. Instead she has a contingent of guards that she is doing her best to stay ahead of. The Marquessa is a little withdrawn, though should she catch anyone's eyes there is a soft smile offered to them.

Richard offers Thena a brief smile as he nods politely towards her. "Hello, Commander. I hope you are well." He repeats his brief smile and nod to Reese "Greetings, your Highness."

Reese glances over to Edward, giving him a smile that touches her blue eyes and brings dimples to briefly bloom. "Greetings Baron Edwrad. I am well thank you and you?" Seh says while still curled-up under the tree.

A huge hideously ugly mastiff have been dismissed.

1 Templar Knight guards have been dismissed.

Ford dips his head and smiles towards Reese, "Princess. Always lovely to see you." When he sees he damn near cut off Edward, he lifts his eyebrows, "Oop, sorry about that, Baron." He puts his hand on the man's shoulder and moves around the man, towards Reigna.

Kit, the grey fox have been dismissed.

1 Greenmarch Guard have been dismissed.

a very average man have been dismissed.

Oaken, an Oakhaven bloodhound have been dismissed.

Gigi, an apprentice physician's assistant have been dismissed.

Orin, a Felhound sergeant have been dismissed.

Hermeline, a russet vixen have been dismissed.

1 Templar Knight guards have been dismissed.

"Hello ribbons." Victus muses over to Reese as the great pink Princess makes her way into the proceedings. Also giving a nod of greeting to Thena and Coraline when the two are about. For now, the Thraxian is uncharacteristically quiet.

Bashira arrives by herself, but the sailor probably does not resemble the woman that was around yesterday. Gone are the fighting leathers that she's dressed in daily. Today she's in a dress of seasilk that is white to nautical blue graduation in color. Her long raven hair is left down and she's wearing very accessories. She looks completely different. There's a smile given to those that she knows as she quietly finds a place to stand off to the side and watch things.

A slow amble brings Helia from the deck of the Redemeption down to the beach, yawning and stretching her limbs when she arrives on the sand. With her dark hair tousled around her head, and a sleepy expression playing across her features, she looks as though she just woke up from a nap. Her clothes hint at the same, for while they're clean and without any stains upon them, they're a little wrinkled and ruffled, like she only recently plucked them off the floor and pulled them on. Indeed, her shirt isn't even tucked in all the way. But hatever! She's here, and she's looking around with drowsy eyes. Wave wave, bow bow to anyone she knows. Yawn yawn behind one hand.

Faruq's smile brightens when he spots Reese, booted feet turn in the sand so he can head in her direction: "Princess Reese. Always a pleasure to see you again. Quite the turnout already!" He says with a soft laugh: "I doubt I will be able to keep all these new faces sorted should I even meet them all." Richard gains Faruq's attention afterwards and another smile follows: "Lord Wyrmguard, nice to see you again out and about. That armor is nearly blinding. Remind me to call upon you should I need a signal aboard ship sometime hmm? We could cover you in sailcloth and then reveal you and your armor to signal the attack." He says with a laugh and a grin. Ford is next: "Marquis Kennex, Good to see you again as well. Perhaps we will have more time to talk this time. I hear you are quite the sailor yourself."

Faruq has joined the Beneath Trees.

"Princess Reese," Thena adds, and catches Reigna's gaze briefly and lifts her chin in a little upnod of hello, the radiance about her shifting briefly to something more grave before she returns to the bustle of event organization.

Pawn, the courtier's apprentice, Quiet, a Valardin champion arrive, following Katarina.

Reese hears the word /ribbons/ and quickly looks up. She peeks over to Victus, having a warm smile for the High Lord of Thrax. "Oh, High Lord Victus, greetings." She says toward her. She then notices Faruq. "It is nice to see you as well Lord Faruq." She says while still curled by her tree.

Victus has joined the Wooden Picnic Table.

Auda is most definitely sticking to the fringes of things. She's not so much overwhelmed by the -volume- of people as the stature of them, and it's far easier to just slip into 'unseen' mode and help with the other servants. Her streaky, sandy hair has been pulled up and back, though a fair few tendrils escape to frame her face. Unruly, as always.

Volare arrives, following Jordan.

Draging her hands through dark waves, Terese arrives in the process of pulling her hair back. Damn seabreeze is playing merry hell with it, and the Dragon Princess looks a little irritated with the bits that keep slapping her in the face. For once, she's dressed up for the event, which is to say that she's wearing fancy pants. Literally. Long strides carry her into the fray, pale blue eyes searching for a familiar face.

Deliverance, an albino falcon arrives, delivering a message to Richard before departing.

At Elgana's question Cora is about to answer when Rosalie directs her to /talk/ to people, swallowing nervously she nods and says quietly to both, "I have no idea what I am doing." Before heading to begin greeting arrivals, "Hi, hello, thank you for coming! Please enjoy food and drink, welcome." Waves, smiles, nervous energy, yep this is social Cora at your service.

Catching sight of Thena's greeting, Reigna offers the woman a warmer smile, her obvious admiration for the Grandmaster clear as she dips her head to Thena, dipping into a shallow curtsy. She continues on her amble, but when she becomes aware of Ford's approach, she turns and looks up at the Kennex Marquis with that soft smile of hers. "Marquis Ford! It has been quite some time! How is it you are faring?"

Ford dips his head towards Faruq, "And you Lord Faruq." He smiles, lifting his eyebrows, "Oh I've been known to be a bit of a salty dog from time to time, I'm sure we'll have more chance to sit down and talk."

Edward smiles to Reese, "I'm doing well enough. Thank you." and then he looks at those coming else to greet the Princess so he takes the time to slip away and wander over near Bashira.

Then Reigna is greeting him. Ford smiles brightly, holding out both hands to her as he walks her way, "Marquessa. It's been much much MUCH too long, how are you keeping? You're looking as wonderful as ever, if not a bit tired."

Carita is normally darkly clad, but today she is dressed /quite/ differently, though cloaked in dark violet. Her pale cream gown glitters in the light as she walks her a warm smile given to those that may glance her way. Her attendent bustles behind her, chirping in her ear as if going down a list of items as the Darkwater woman nods.

Elgana pauses then and gives Rosalie a warm smile before her gaze is back upon Coraline. "It's alright, I never have a clue most days but it's fun to pretend!" she laughs with just a teasing edge to her words before she goes to wander off with the Thrax princess until she pauses and changes course. "Second thought, I think you can handle this Cora dearest!" And then off the Redrain moves to mingle instead. She heads toward Terese, giving a wave of greeting as she approaches. "Highness!"

Bashira's gaze was taking in things as she was not generally one for parties, though there is a smile to Edward as he approaches. There's a bow of her head to the man and she speaks quietly with him.

Richard remains silent and standing in his rigid pose. He maintains a neutral face as he watches more people flock in. Those looking at him would see a man who kept a serious expression over his features. Eyes glimmering with a keen intelligence as he seems to listen to the conversations around him. Yet he remains rather quiet while everyone else speaks. To every new person, Richard gives a short humble bow and if he hasn't met them yet he informs them that he is Richard Wyrmguard. And while his title uses Lord, he doesn't seem to use it when addresing others.

River, a juvenile Oakhaven bloodhound, 3 Tyde Houseguard, Archeron arrive, following Amari.

There is a hint of rose that blooms in Reigna's cheeks at Ford's words and she shakes her head, those fiercely tight braids gleaming with bluish highlights in the sunshine, even as she lightly puts her hands in his. "I am still not used to that title. I find myself at times turning around when someone calls Countess." Her lips purse and there is a hint of a laugh, "I am indeed tired. I have been keeping quite busy of late, with all the goings on in the Lowers. But I thank you for your compliment and return them in kind."

Arriving upon the tide of new arrivals onto the sun-baked sands of the beach, Katarina carries a pair of ribbon-tie sandals upon hooked fingers, relishing the near scalding warmth of sand sinking between her feet as though they were like the dunes of old as she mingles casually upon the fringes of the beach soiree, taking note of who's who with idle disinterest of an avid observer along the way to refreshments.

Edward smiles and while he does look around watching people arrive he continues to lean in to talk with Bashira quietly. Listening to her and chuckling before he replies.

Katarina has joined the Northern Dunes.

Jordan arrives atop his destrier, Volare. The steed is moody, often trying to force his rider out of the saddle, but it doesn't seem to concern the knight at all. Offering a nod to those at the beach fundraiser, he rides the steed to a tree and secures him there.

Monique arrives on the arm of the Archlector of Gild and it looks like the man's been shined up even more than usual. Aeterna robes, pristine, and blonde hair freshly trimmed! Etienne is ready for the auction block and the Minx beside him doesn't look entirely thrilled about it, stalking along in her honeyed silks, muttering under her breath to the handsome Telmar Blessed.

"I would enjoy that." Faruq says to Ford with a smile and another dip of his chin. The sight of a few others arriving distracts him though and he offers: "My apologies Highness, Marquis, my Lord. I think I see someone I haven't spoken to in a while." He bows with a sweep of his hat off his bald head in the process. Moving away from the trees he walks across the beach towards Helia. On his way he greets Carita: "Lady Darkwater, you are looking ravishing tonight. I think your fears are going to be completely unfounded." He smiles at her offering a wave to Helia if he is close enough to be noticed. Another arrival gains his attention and Faruq seems to be torn on where to go next. Smoothing a hand over his head he chuckles: "I wish I was up for auction, then I could introduce myself to everyone at once." He asides to Carita.

Faruq has left the Beneath Trees.

Smiling back towards Elgana, Rosalie gives Coraline an encouraging smile and leans in to murmur something to her friend before she's off and doing a bit of mingling herself! She waves towards Ford and Reigna, heading towards them with a broad, friendly smile. "Marquis Kennex! How lovely to see you here! I hope everything is going well." Looking to Reigna she offers a warm smile and tips her head, "Hello, I'm Lady Rosalie Redtyde, its lovely to meet you!" Looking over at Faruq, she grins, "Aha! We meet again, my lord! I'm so glad to see you again, and so soon! How are you doing?"

Reese has a fall a bit quiet with the arrival of so many. She waves to Regina. "Marquesa." She murmurs. She then smiles over to Jordan and Katarina both. She blows Monique a kiss that seems more playfully platonic than anything.

As each person comes in Cora smiles and greets them, "Lord Faruq, a pleasure to see you again, Carita oh you look amazing." Victus of course gets a grin and wave but leaves him to his quiet contemplation. Richard is given a warm smile as well, "Sir Richard, wonderful to see you. Reigna! Oh thank you for coming you look amazing tonight. Reese! Thank you for coming." For those she knows very well then get a welcoming hug. "Bashira, thank you for making it. Lady Terese, thank you for coming, I do hope you enjoy. Kat," meaning Katarina, "Oh I am so glad you could make it. Sir Jordan, thank you for coming the games tonight aren't quiet as physicial but hopefully fun! Mo!" Monique of course, she gets a hug, "Maybe you can get a full set tonight?" she asks grinning, "Etienne, thank you for being here. Will you be trying for some of the games as well?"

While the place becomes super packed with people, Richard moves to a position where he is not actively in the way of anyone. And despite his austere look, he has never been unapproachable. Anyone who felt like talking to him is in the liberty to do so.

Monique catches Reese's kiss and presses it against her cheek, pausing to blow one back with slightly more lasciviousness. And then there's a hug from Coraline and the Minx is returning it tightly. "I'll do my best, Cora. I wouldn't have missed this for the world." Then she grouses some more to Etienne in a quiet voice. Poor Blessed man.

Bashira continues to speak with Edward in a quiet tone, but she gives Coraline a big smile, "It was no trouble, your Highness." she tells her with a dip of her head to her. The little shells making noise as she straightens. There's a look to Edward, "This should be a fun evening. Or someone is going to end up in the ocean." she muses.

Victus pulls his coat a little tighter as the conversations abound this way and that. Lilybelle in the meanwhile has taken to staring disdainfully at every new face, eventually hopping down from her perch to go carousing herself. Those who cross her path get steely glares. For some reason, /especially/ Coraline.

A touch of pink warms Reese's cheeks and she catches the lightly more lascivious kiss with a gloved hand or pretends to anyways. She then smiles over to Coraline, waving happily to the East Light's commander.

"I always get turned around up there." Amari is telling Archeron as a small contingent of Tydes arrive, a little late. She's taking partial responsibility for that, gesturing vaguely back towards the city walls. "They need better signage." Is her final word on the matter before she's quiet, and looking out over the beach at the big crowd of people.

Reigna offers Coraline a wide smile as she is greeted, a wave for the Princess, and another wave and smile to Reese, "Princess Reese, so lovely to see you!" There is a subtle lean in as Ford lowers his voice to speak to her, and she offers the man a slow nod before gingerly releasing his hands, a smile still wreathing her face.

Etienne is indeed looking shinier than usual, somehow. Almost as if lit from above by calming glorious rays of happy sunlight. The golden haired Archlector, who is normally somewhat reserved at large gatherings, is actually waving at people. He greets, and shakes as him and his companion move through the crowd. "Princess, Lord, Lady, Prince, Princess." in seemingly ever repeating pattern. Etienne, is schmoozing.

"This looks like it's going to be quite an amazing turnout," Katarina opines toward Coraline when the hostess of the hour sets sights upon her. Dimples bloom with the infectious warmth of her smile, a few fingers tapped upon the knighted Thraxan's shoulder before her gaze turns over the thicket of scattered crowds yet again. "I can't wait to see what you havae in store for us all." After their exchange, it's a somewhat belated acknowledgement cast to Reese with a favorable smile for the Pinky Princess, the Valardin taking to a patch of well-shaded sands for respite. A gilded flute and bottle of bubbly champagne magically find their way into her possession along the way.

Edward smiles to Coraline when she comes to greet Bashira and he then glances back to her to keep speaking with her. He pauses to look around again and he nods, "Well someone might get so drunk that they want to rush off into the sea before the evening is done. We'll see."

Helia;s using the fingertips of one hand to swipe the last grains of sleepy-dust out of her eyes, but other hand is free to wave back at someone! She lifts her voice cheerfully. "Lord Faruq! Hello! Very good to see you!" Then she bows, before waving again to some other people she knows as well. Rosalie, Jordan, Reese... ah, heck, everyone around her. Then Alexandre too!

There is an insane amount of people now, and it's so much.. -nobility- in ome place. The Lower Buroughs-turned-Thraxian was definitely not prepared for this! Auda bussies herself at the alcohol table, filling cups as people wander by. That's a safe place, with a table between her and the rich chaos!

Reese looks over to Eienne with amusement as he lifts off title greetings. "So many princesses." She playfully says. She then waves over to Helia. "Mistress Helia." She greets.

Pete, a Grayhope account manager arrives, following Mayir.

Stojan, the assistant, 3 Thrax Guards, Isabetta, Mayir arrive, following Denica.

Ford dips his head to Reigna as she releases his hands and peels off. Then he spots Carita and heads her way.

And Helia bows to Reese too, because highness! Big grin!

Reigna looks to Lady Rosalie as she releases Ford's hands offering the woman a smile, "Hello, well met! I am Marquessa Reigna Keaton. I believe you're betrothed to my cousin Alexandre!"

"Thank you, Cora darling," Carita opines warmly to Coraline, a hand lifted to glide through pale blonde locks as her blue-eyes attention continues to roam. Her smile is then turned on Faruq, "So many ...wo--people, so little time. Yes?" There's a mischievous smile that curls as her attention remains on those here, sparing the Lord beside her only small glimpses as she leans to remove her slippers, allowing her feet to wiggle in to the sand. "Why does that feel /so/ delightful?"

Fashionably late as always, and with a little enturage of her own in tow, Denica arrives, a vision of umbra and jewels, and a bright smile flashes around to everybody gathered and she gasps a little bit as she takes it all in. "Gods. This is a wonderful turn out. I can already not hear myself think!" she says, grinning.

Lethe takes a curious glance around while she looks to see who is here. She gives a wave to Rosalie before looking to Amari and Archeron with a smile. "This should be entertaining."

Reese smiles over to Denica and then Carita. "Oh, Prince Denica and Lady Carita, hi! " She say while still curled-up beneath the tree.

Alexandre arrives a bit late, but better late than never, yes? The Wyrmguard lord pauses at the sight of so many gathered at the beach, though it doesn't take him long to start looking around for those he might know. Helia's enthusiastic, some might say excessive, waving is noticed, and he waves back. Yay!

Monique guides Etienne over in Reigna's direction next, greeting the Marquessa with a warm smile. "Marquessa Keaton, designer of the most beautiful of things, bring of Minxes to tears. Have you met Blessed Etienne, the Archlector of Gild?" She gestures to the handsome blond Telmar at her side.

"I am! Archlector Bianca also said that I should speak to you regarding my research project for the Scholars, though now is certainly not the time for that. But I'll send a missive soon about it! And Alex should be here any moment. Its a true pleasure to meet you, Marquessa," Rosalie responds with a bright smile, dipping a quick curtsy to Reigna. Helia's waves gets a smile and wave in return, and Lethe gets one as well! Alexandre arrives then and her smile just BEAMS. "Alex!"

Bashira gives a smile to those that are coming in and some she recognizes, "Sir Jordan." she gives a dip of her head to the man. Then there's a few others she recognizes, but her attention is grabbed by the Baron again and she listens to him curiously as he speaks.

And at last it is time to begin. Waving to a set of musicians, they play a little ditty that is remarkably cheerful to gain everyone's attention, just to see that Cora sometime climbed onto a bench, "Ladies and gentlemen welcome to the party portion of our fund raiser. First off I want to thank everyone who has helped make this happen from those willing to be auctioned off to Grandmaster Thena and all of Solace and of course my own East Light members. You will never know how grateful I am for everything you have done and are doing right now.

Tonight we have some real treats in store for you, we have three games and of course the highlight of our evening, the auction. We will have a couple of games first, because I am terrible and love to build suspense. Not to worry there will be no lemon cream or eggs involved in these games, but there /will/ be opportunities to win glorious medaillions. First off we will have a talent show. Come and show us what you can do, wow us with your incredible skill and go down in the annals of history for your abilities. Those who wish to join in make a line please."

"Your Highness," Jordan, once he's dismounted the destrier and approaches Coraline, bows to the Thrax royal, flashing her a brief smile. "Good to see you." Helia earns a nod as well, before he remarks to the Thrax knight, "As you can see, I have managed to clean up the cream from the armor. Thankfully. It only took a few hours of scrubbing." Bashira is nodded towards as he greets with, "Mistress Ru-Taul, glad to see you."

Reigna smiles a bit more at Rosalie's enthusiasm, and is then turning to see Monique and Etienne. "Lady Monique, you are such a flatterer." Reigna's smile is a touch more reserved than usual, but the warmth she offers Monique seems genuine. She looks to Etienne and gives the man a curtsy. "I have not yet had the pleasure. Blessed Etienne, I have heard nothing but wonderful things. And your choice of companions confirms your good taste."

Archeron nods away as Amari talks at him - he is almost certain he is not meant to have actual opinions on road signage, but instead his duty is to fully support his intendeds rant with a goo enthusiastic nodding and positive noise campaign "You may be right dear....oh, look. Seems everyone we know is here. And my dear sister. Who I think I know." And Lethe gets a little grin

Faruq laughs at Helia's wave, waving back over to her: "Mistress Helia, I am glad to see you again also. I would like to speak with you about a few matters in the future. This is clearly not the time or place." He smiles again but then shakes his head at Carita's comment, his smile broadening: "You would be surprised how much that is not the case, Lady Darkwater. Appearances are often deceiving." He says with a laugh, starting to move away from Carita as she becomes the focus of others attentions. Nods are given to those and he slips away towards the dune that Katarina has claimed for herself. On the way he nearly bumps into Terese but luckily sidesteps that fiasco. Barely. "My apologies Princess. It is rather hectic hmm? Lord Faruq Seraceni." He introduces himself to the valardin princess: "Thank the gods, that was almost much worse."

"I have a lot of princesses to greet." Amari realizes as she takes stock of all those she knows. She starts with the one that's closest, smiling warmly at Denica and her entourage from her small Tyde gang. "Princess Denica! You look amazing, as usual." A tip of her head to Isabetta and Mayir as well. Then she hears Coraline's announcement and tries to listen in, "A talent show. Archeron, did you bring your bow?"

Reese has joined the line.

Damien Pierce - A Charming Assistant, 1 Redreef Guard arrive, following Mikani.

Monique has joined the line.

And there's Rosalie, and Reigna too! And they seem to have both Etienne and Monique in their vicinity. He heads towards the group, giving Rosalie a grin as he draws near, and then a smiling nod to the others. "Beloved, cousin Reigna, Lady Monique, and Blessed Etienne, it is a pleasure to see you all again, and in the latter's case, to meet you." Just then, Coraline announces the beginning of the games, and he chuckles. "It seems I'm just in time to spectate."

Denica wiggles her fingers towards Reese and gives her a cheeky smile. "Princess Reese, good to see you as always," she says, her attention than moving to Amari, where she leads the way to greet Amari properly, arms outstretched for a hug. "I really need to get some quiet time with you," she grins. "It's just so rare for me to have -any- time to myself at all." she says with a lamenting sigh.

Denica has joined the line.

Richard pays attention to the announces made by Coraline. But it seems he was multi tasking, because on the commentary of too many princesses, Richard cannot help but show a brief but quite visible smile. This is followed by him commenting with a calm demeanor and in his over gruff style "Indeed. Many Princesses. It is quite the event. I am glad to be here, present."

Ronja slips onto the edge of the beach and finds a seat in the sand, just in time to hear the announcement. An unfamiliar face in an unfamiliar place, she simply settles in to observe from a distance for now.

Reese darts up from under the tree at the mention of a talent show. She barely manages to keep from banging her head on a branch. She seems all into this idea. She then smiles once more to Dencia. She nods to Amari. "So many of us." She agrees.

Victus has joined the line.

Katarina remains a relaxed and serene presence on the fringes of the party, seeming content to be an avid observer of people. When Coraline commands attention of guests, and announces a talent show to commence shortly, there is a glimmer of curiosity cast over the crowd to discern those who are lining up to take part. A cork pops and a geyser of fizzling champagne erupts thereafter as a bottle is opened and a glass poured Quiet, a thankful smile tipped toward her companion before she settles back, ready for a show.

Auda actually perks up at the idea of a talent show, and strolls on over to the line! She's bounding on her toes a little bit, eager and nervous both.

Auda has joined the line.

Faruq has joined the line.

Terese is just as quick on her feet as Faruq, and she sidesteps at the same time as he does. And in the same direction. She ends up staring into his face before an unintentionally fierce smirk quirks her lips. "Well, this is awkward," she drawls lightly. A hand extends, calloused by years of training and warfare, within the short distance. "Terese Valardin. A pleasure, Lord Seraceni, though I'm not usually this much of a dancer."

Lethe glances around once more. "I do know you Archeron even if it's hard to admit." She also looks to Denica. "Hello Princess Denica. It's great to see you here."

Pete, a Grayhope account manager leaves, following Mayir.

Richard raises and arched brow slightly. "Auction?"

Thena hears Coraline making the opening announcements and makes her way over to stand next to the Thraxian, lifting a hand in half-salute when her name and order is mentioned. Then she's off again, making preparations. No talents on display from her it seems.

Bashira gives a smile to Jordan, "It's good to see you as well, Sir Jordan." she tells him. Then there's a look to Edward and there's a smile to him, "I was going to send your wife something, but I forgot to. I should do that." she admits. Then there's a bit of a nod at what is whispered and she answers back.

Etienne can't help but smile wider at Reigna's comments, a gentle bow in her direction. "Why thank you Marquessa, it's a pleasure to meet you, I hope I don't fall short of all the wonderful things you've been told." he looks to the line of people forming, and that Monique has joined he looks to find himself a comfortable place to watch the upcoming show of talents. "This should be rather entertaining." he remarks.

Edward's standing next to Bashira and he nods to Jordan too when he comes close, "Sir Ober. We should meet soon at the Canines soon." he smiles to the knight and then he looks at those getting in line while he tilts his head to listen to what Bashira says back adding, "I am sure she will like what you send."

Elgana makes her way toward a spot in the sand, carving out a little piece of the beach for her own as she plants herself somewhere with a good vantage point to watch the talent show. "Should be good!"

"Princess Reese! I had no idea you were such an excellent jouster." Amari smiles, but over Denica's shoulder as she returns her embrace. She also agrees, "If you do have some free time, let me know. I live across the square now, at the big imposing tower that's always a bit chilly. So it's not far." She looks between everyone, then around the beach, "Shall we find somewhere to sit?"

Smiling up at Alexandre, she lofts herself up to her toes to kiss his cheek before dropping back into the sand and taking his hand in hers. She looks back to Reigna with a grin and bobs her head, "I was so glad for Coraline to see -so- many people showing up for the fundraiser!" She turns a smile towards Etienne and Monique, watching as the latter goes to get into line for the talent show. "Oh my, that's bravery there. I would freeze solid if I had to go perform like that! At least with the auction I can just smile and wave and let someone else do the talking!" Giggling, she looks back to the Archlector and smiles, "Hello, I believe we met briefly at the Very Serious Bath Party. Its lovely to see you again, Archlector."

Keski, a nervous disciple of Petrichor, Aletta, an even more nervous disciple of Petrichor, 1 Templar Knight guards arrive, following Brigida.

As teh line is created Cora waits a while then grins, "Alright first up we have the incredibly talented Reese, what will you be doing for us tonight Princess Reese?" She indictes the small stage area for Reese to show of her skizzles.

Reese smiles over to Amari. "I am a princess of many skills and I am about to display another great unknown talent of mine." She says with a touch teasing to her tone.

Monique dips her curtsey to Reigna, Alexandre and Rosalie but as the game is announced, she's sidling a little closer to Coraline. Not noticeably, but inching.

Reese checked charm + performance at difficulty 30, rolling 8 lower.

Elgana has joined the Southern Dunes.

"I share the sentiment." Faruq says with a laugh and a broad smile to Terese. He reaches to take her hand in his and shakes it firmly one warrior to another. Callouses galore! He leans in closer towards Terese, that doesn't take much, murmuring: "Truth be told I am not a dancer either. I am dreading the coming Gala. I fear for everyone's feet everywhere should I be asked to take to the dance floor." He releases Terese's hand before it gets even more awkward than things already became at their near miss: "It is a pleasure and an honor to meet you Princess." He dips his chin into a bow, hat swept off his bald head in the process. Finally catching sight of Rosalie too, he offers a wave with his hat and a smile in her direction as focus shifts briefly. Turning fully onto Terese again Faruq asks: "Are these events always this large? I feel like I am below decks on a Cog that has been overpacked." He says with wry amusement: "And this is a beach."

"So I heard, my Lord. I'll look forward to it." Jordan nods to the man, flashing him a brief smile. "I do have a few ideas in mind I'd love to present to the Canines, and I think you'll appreciate them as well, as pertains that business I mentioned." When the game is mentioned, he laughs. "My talents are a bit shorter or longer term than 'immediate' so I don't think I could do that one."

Aksel has found a nice place for him to take up residence to watch the show. A bottle of whiskey is the drink of choice. He gives a sharp whistle when Reese goes up to perform. Let's see how she does folks!

"Another time, then, Lord Faruq! I don't think I'll be leaving the city anytime soon." Frantic waving complete, Helia half-skips over to where Rosalie and Alexandre are standing with a bunch of other fancy peeps. Upon reaching them there's a bow. A playfully dashing and graceful bow, even, to all those assembled. "Hello, everyone!" Then she turns toher cousin and soon-to-be-cousin, smiling with a flash of white teeth. Breach of protocol? Who knows! Who cares.

"I am positive you will not let me down, Blessed Eti

Etienne has joined the Beneath Trees.

"Oh I know that scary tower well," Denica agree, nodding to Amari. "Free time is so hard to come by lately, but hopefully I'll have something soon," she smiles and steps back, releasing Amari and biting her lip a she looks around. "I'm sure everybody knows what my talent can be... though I do need to find myself a nice piece of driftwood..." she says then as she begins looking around the beach, meandering with an occasional look back to Isabetta, waving towards her.

Richard shows what seems like one of his brief smiles. This time to Faruq. "My esteemed Lord, that makes two of us. I never was very food at dancing." He was good at other stuff though. Perhaps more scholarly things... "I believe I spend my time studying and reading too much to display much talent in dancing or such. I suppose optimizing a person to be stronger, better and faster is a goal that I always have present."

Faruq has joined the Northern Dunes.

Terese has joined the Northern Dunes.

Isabetta has joined the In the Water.

"I am positive you will not let me down, Blessed Etienne." Reigna promises, even as she joins him in sitting beneath the trees. She waves to Amari, Alex and a few others before setting down to watch the show.

Ronja has joined the In the Water.

Reigna has joined the Beneath Trees.

Denica has joined the In the Water.

Edward gives a nod to Jordan, "Good. I look forward to it. Maybe we can corral the Princess into joining us too." he smiles he shifts his attention to the talent showing while he keeps an ear towards Bashira for their quieter conversation.

Ford has joined the In the Water.

Alexandre has joined the Beneath Trees.

Richard has joined the Beneath Trees.

Rosalie has joined the Beneath Trees.

Brigida walks down from the city, leaning heavily on her walking stick as she goes. Despite the appearance of infirmity, it still takes a moment for her disciples to catch up. She looks around for a moment, raising a hand in greeting to Coraline, eyes moving over the crowd and picking out Blessed Etienne before she moves down to the shore.

Richard walks over to the shadow of the trees. Where he remains in his position. Standing. Hands behind his back. Expression neutral. But yet still rather serious.

Brigida has joined the In the Water.

Bashira has joined the Wooden Picnic Table.

Edward has joined the Wooden Picnic Table.

"I fear standing and waving is about all I may be able to do at this point. There's so many people one can hardly hear oneself think!" Alexandre remarks to Rosalie, laughting. He stays close to his betrothed, but remains a quiet presence, preferring to watch the proceedings instead. When Helia arrives, he smiles, giving a nod. "Hello, Helia. Intent on watching the games or do you intend to bet?" he asks.

Reese has a touch of that Grayson pride about her as she walks to the front of this impressive gathering. She peeks over those gathered, having a warm smile that touches her blue eyes and brings her dimples to bloom. Her cheeks are a bit pink and she seems a little sheepish about this. "My main talents are stabbings and wearing ribbons well. So I combined both into a dance of ribbons and blades!" She says more confident and sure of her dancing skills than she really has any right to be. She draws her pink knife of ribbons and pulls down her hood, exposing messy golden curls with all sort of ribbons threaded into them. She needs to work on her fashion skills or at least spend more time with a brush. She then starts to frolic around, dancing wildly with her knife. The dance is never good, but when she trips over a stone on the beach, it reaches epic levels of fail. She lands on her bottom, blinks in surprise and seems embarassed. The flush on her cheeks is very bright. At least she didn't cut with herself with the knife. "Um..that was the dance of the ribbons!" She says, rising sheepishly. Her white leggings are a bit dirt-marked now.

Cora waves with a warm smile to Brigida even as she checks her list for next participant

Jordan has joined the Northern Dunes.

Bashira gives a smile to Jordan and then starts to move to find a seat, because she's been standing for most of the day. She's still quietly speaking with Edward though as they go.

Jordan nods to Edward, flashing a smile to both the Baron and Bashira before heading over to the northern dunes, apparently seeking a vantage to watch the show, himself.

2 Grayson House Guards, Elizabetta, a disapproving lady-in-waiting, Lily, an aloof lady-in-waiting, Clark, an exasperated guard arrive, following Sabella.

Cecily, a coy secretary arrives, following Agostino.

Wincing at the fall, Cora applauds, "That was Princess Reese everyone and her Dance of Ribbons, next up we have Princess Denica."

Auda applauds from her place in the line, eagerly watching the competators going before her!

Sabella has joined the line.

Denica checked luck + artwork at difficulty 15, rolling 26 higher.

Richard nods politely to those who are watching the event. His attention is stolen by Reese. He watches quietly as she displays her talent into a dance. And as it is happening, he seems to find it amusing as he let's out a small smile for Reese. He moves his hands to clap for her and he does this with quite the enthusiasm. "A grand display your Highness. I must say..." He tilts his head a little "You truly must love all things ribbon."

Amari laughs softly as Denica goes off to find driftwood and Reese to unleash her talents. Her attention divided, she's slow to notice Reigna waving but when she does, she returns the gesture with a bright smile. She looks half tempted to follow the other Keaton, but Reese's ribbon dance has her rooted in place for the duration. At the end she applauds politely, then resumes her hunt for a place to sit with Archeron and Lethe.

Denica checked luck + artwork at difficulty 30, rolling 0 higher.

Edward wanders over to the table and takes a seat with Bashira and gets himself comfortable while he smiles to the High Lord...

Lethe has joined the Wooden Picnic Table.

Amari has joined the Wooden Picnic Table.

Reese peeks over to Richard, having a warm smile for him, but her cheeks are still pink."Thank you." She says. She looks over to Denica, seemingly eager to see her talent.

Mikani enters hearing there was a big to do on the outskirts of town. She sauntered out and looked around at all the people gathered and those sharing their talents. This sould be interesting.

Sabella has totally been here the whole time! Really! She applauds for Reese's ribbons and then moves to find a seat, "Whew! Glad I didn't miss this event!"

Sabella has joined the Northern Dunes.

Beaming a smile between Alexandre and Rosalie, Helia replies with good cheer to the former. "Oh, we'll have to see, I think!" Then her grin turns more devilish. "Whatever the case, silver's going to be flowing soon enough. I can't wait to see the bids on you two!" Then she's turning to look over her shoulder, and bounces up and down on her toes. "But! I'm going over there! Have fun!" She points towards her destination and goes dashing off. Footprints in the sand. Wheee!

Helia has joined the Northern Dunes.

Denica very nearly doesn't even hear the call, she's just concerned with finding just the right piece of driftwood, it's only when her name is called when she looks up and blinks, quickly grabbing the best piece of drift she's found. "Oh! Yes," Dencia smiles and meanders over to a good place in the dunes, where the sand is still damp from a nice wave but far from the shore, and there she begins to trace patterns into the sand, she doesn't say what it is as she works, but it becomes apparent that she's making a drawing, she's doing it quickly, so it's more of a sketch than anything too elaborate, but when she's done, it reveals the pattern in the shape of a mermaid, sitting upon a stone, hair blowing in the wind. It's not awful! But it's also a sand drawing. Not her best work. "And there you go! I'm an arist, I might even paint whomever wins me," she chuckles. "If that's what we decide to do, that is," she twirls, sending the umbra skirts flaring before she takes a bow. "Thank you all!" she says before she makes her way back to the water's edge.

Reese woots and cheers for Denica. "Yay, Princess Denica!"

Cecily, a coy secretary leaves, following Agostino.

Isabetta has left the In the Water.

Richard has joined the line.

Applauding Denica's work, Cora grins, "Very well done Princess Denica, I can assure you her art is amazing! Next is our very own Auda!"

Denica has left the In the Water.

Denica has joined the Wooden Picnic Table.

Helia makes her appreciation known. There's a loud cheer and some applause from the dunes. Go Denica! Good luck Auda!

Auda checked dexterity + small wpn at difficulty 30, rolling 6 higher.

Reese is curled-up beneath the tree, having head back that way. She looks to Auda, seemingly curious about her talent.

Mikani leans back against a tree enjoying the show, her arms crossed as she watches.

Dot, the war-wiener, Judy, an investigative assistant arrive, following Harper.

Auda slips into a little bit of a swagger as she makes her way up onto the stage, pulling two weapons from her clothing. Both are just low-quality steel weapons, though one seems far better quality. The young woman Tosses first one up, and then the other-- engaging in a series of knife-juggling tricks up on that stage! She's definitely nimble and practiced, the blades catching the sunlight wonderfully.

Applauding Auda's dexterous skill, Cora calls out, "There she is! Wonderful skill with those blades," come on, it is bladework of /course/ it will get Cora's attention, "That was Auda, well come! Next up is Victus, Thrax's very own Highlord."

Reigna has joined the line.

Reese woots and cheers for Auda's show. "Good Juggling!"

Faruq claps for the displays of talent so far, his attention almost fully consumed by nearby conversation. The dancing of ribbons by Reese, the artwork by Denica, and the juggling all receive praise. He managed not to wince at Reese's fall though.

Victus checked dexterity + athletics at difficulty 30, rolling 2 higher.

Monique slips from small group to small group, chatting quietly, unobtrusively, keeping her head down and her smile bland.

Archeron nods as he follows along with Amari, nodding seems like a nice safe expression. And then Amari is being beset by princess hugs - worth at least 2.5 of a regular hug "I didn't know you knew so many of Thrax, Amari." Archeron observes, a note of surprise in his voice. Still, he ddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd

Auda is blushing a bit but clearly riding high on the praise and appreciation, bowing before scuttling off the stage.

From her own little spot of beach Elgana watches and cheers and claps appropriately, clearly enjoying all she's seen so far.

Maxene, Pellinor, 4 Thrax Guards, Honey Snuggle, a Velenosian Angora cat arrive, following Alarissa.

Victus throws off his coat as he marches up to the center. "I'm gonna do a fucking headstand without breaking my neck." Says the man who is approximately 6 feet and 5 inches tall with plenty of muscle on top. A fine idea if ever there was one. "Watch this ya' shits." Rubbing his hands together, he goes through a somersault motion onto the back of his head. From there he begins to awkwardly lift himself up onto his shoulders, hands in the sand as his bottom half starts slowly inching upwards. He's already huffing and puffing by the time he's straightening his head into the sand, which is nearly buried up to his eyes from the added weight being put on. Red in the face, he lifts himself up by his hands and then lowers the top of his head onto the sands again. One hand goes up, then the other, and one can see the amount of exertion and pain from how his entire body cringes trying to remain upright. "Am I doing it?" He growls out. "I think I'm fucking doing it. I'm still alive!"

4 Thrax Guards arrives, following Fatima.

Ford has left the In the Water.

Rosalie is overheard praising Victus: I'm still laughing!

Auda is overheard praising Victus.

Mikani applaudes Victus.

Watching this painful example of sheer determination, Cora applauds, looking like she wants to check if he needs medical attention, "Very well done, that is a wonderful example of.....endurance and...athletics! Right next up we have Faruq!"

Katarina laughs brightly at the display Victus puts on, bringing her hands together in encouraging applause from amidst her entourage atop the dunes. "Now that's quite a feat," she calls, shifting in her seat upon the blankets to gently nudge Sabella. "Your highness, will you be stepping into the talent show and stealing His Grace's thunder? I bet you could. Hands-down."

Down to the beach strides the Princess Consort of Thrax, oblivious to what her husband just did on the stage. Or wherever they are performing.

Mikani is overheard praising Victus.

Faruq also laughs at Victus' display of grace and strength, his command of the language adding to it all perfectly. He claps loudly and then places two fingers to his lips to whistle sharply: "Well done High Lord!" He calls out when he finally gets his breath back. Faruq shakes his head a bit afterwards: "I am beginning to regret entering into the talent competition myself. Speaking of which." He stands up and goes towards the dock, leaving the gathering he was a part of briefly to find some loose rope.

Carita's laughter is carefully contained as she watches, applauding along with the rest of the crowd she puts two fingers in her mouth to add a shrill whistle of praise to it.

Reigna gives a Keaton whistle to show her appreciation of Victus' skill and determination from her place at the end of the line.

Rosalie shouts out from over by the trees, "GO THRAX!!"

Faruq checked dexterity + sailing at difficulty 30, rolling 26 higher.

Richard is overheard praising Victus: Remarkable man. His athelticism and ability to control his large body to do a headstand was incredible.

Alexandre looks more concerned than impressed at Victus' particular brand of... using his head. "Does... he do that often?" he can be heard asking.

Harper walks in and looks around, just in time to see Victus doing a handstand. Both eyebrows shoot up and a grin spreads across her face as she chuckles. Shaking her head, she limps over to find a seat on the sand out of the way, where she can watch.

Victus promptly 'FAHWUMPS' back in the sand once his time is slotted. All the blood having rushed to his head, he stands up with some shakiness before stumbling back toward his table. "I think I killed it." He muses a little too loudly for comfort.

Richard, having overhead Alexandre, he replies "It seems like he has some idea of what he is doing."

Terese has left the Northern Dunes.

Fatima arrives obviously having missed something she will have to ask about later. Leave it to Victus. Whether to sate that curiousity or just stop by and say hello to the family, she drifts by the table where some of the Thrax contingent are gathered, stopping behind Denica. "Hello dears, having fun?" Though, seeing that Lord Faruq is evidently up performing now, she seems to take particular interest. "Oh, it's that fellow again. I do so wonder what sort of show he'll put on?"

If Thena doesn't miss the woman herself, she sees the war weiner and pauses from whatever she's gotten herself into organizing to wave to Harper.

"Oh! Tima!" Denica rises from her seat to turn around, grabbing Fatima in a quick embrace. "Glad you could make it! So good to see such a good turnout."

After gathering up his rope, Faruq straightens out the long piece and begins to head down towards the performance stand on the beach itself: "Hello everyone!" He offers a wave: "I am Lord Faruq Seraceni, most of you don't know me. Most of you will wish you didn't know me eventually I am sure." He grins broadly to everyone. He is not shy. He holds up the rope out straight: "On a ship we have to find many ways to fill our time. There is always your typical knots and such." His hands dance over the rope displaying a variety of knots one after the other: "The best though is when you get well, mind numbingly bored and you end up doing things like this:" He ties the rope into a shape that is very much like a rabbit: "A rabbit!" And then he follows it with a Giraffe: "No idea what this is, but I saw it in the menagerie!" And he goes through a number of other animals. Yes. Rope animals. He finishes with the house animals for each of the great houses: "A Dragon, A Griffin, A Bear, A Fox, and last but definitely not least in honor of High Lord Victus's performance!" he straightens the rope back out and holds it out untied: "A Sea Serpent!" A bow follows with a sweep of his hat off his head and he waves, tossing the rope towards Victus afterwards with a cheeky grin.

Giuseppe, a kindly old man arrives, following Luca.

Scribble, a Delicate Social Butterfly, Luca arrive, following Delilah.

Delilah has joined the Southern Dunes.

There's a quick tour to the table where Victus makes his way to, a kiss to his cheek and a murmured word of pride - despite not seeing anything - and she's off to find some place to sit and watch the rest of the show.

Luca has joined the Southern Dunes.

Harper has joined the Southern Dunes.

Applauding with a great deal of appreciation Cora says, "Well done! Very well done, I didn't even know you could do that! That was Faruq everyone! Next up we have the lovely Princess Sabella!"

Sabella checked charm + performance at difficulty 30, rolling 34 higher.

Alarissa has joined the In the Water.

Captain Teemo, a mountain lion cub arrives, following Leona.

From over on the northern dunes, there's a big old hearty cheer from Helia as she cups her hands around her mouth. "Nice ropework, Lord Faruq!" Then, with a slapping of her hands together, another shout. "Go Princess Sabella! Whooo!"

Ford makes his way back from the water. Putting his shirt back on and holding his shoes in his fingers. Time to find something to DRANK.

"Well, I did promise Cora she could auction me," Fatima tells Denica. "It's a very good showing. Much like the tourney." She pauses, somewhat randomly, to put her fingers up to her mouth and wolf-whistle in the middle of Faruq's introduction, possibly before he's actually done anything impressive with the rope. "Oh, he's making animals. How curious!" This said, she ponders, "I think I might go and swim. Or lounge in the sand. I don't know. Something. Ta, dear, let's catch up in a little."

Standing up and smoothing her skirts, Sabella gives Katarina a wink, and takes a deep breath. Then she starts to sing a moving, eloquent song about a young man who finds a beautiful dress made of seafoam on the shore and takes it home with him, only to be confronted by a naked woman claiming to be a Princess and the owner of the dress later that evening. They fall in love and have several children, but the Princess grows ill and the man forbids the children from ever going near the water for he fears losing them to the waves. But one day the children hear a song calling them and find the dress locked away in a chest. They show it to their father who flies into a rage and chases them along with their mother down to the sea where as soon as the water touches their toes, they melt away into seafoam. Heartbroken and ashamed of himself, the man builds a lighthouse on the spot and tends to it for the rest of his life, keeping watch each day and all night to catch a glimpse of his family. It is a sweet and sad song, yet even in the depths of despair there is that hopeful note and Sabella's voice is clear and full of emotion. As the last note lingers in the air she gives a little smile and curtsey before moving to sit back down.

Fatima has joined the Northern Dunes.

Leona makes her way to the Beaches. She's not often seen these days - the former Lord Commander did say she was very busy, and it seems that business takes her often from Arx. But she showed up the prior day, and she has shown up now as the second day of the fundraiser for the Order of East Light and the Knights of Solace takes place. And then Sabella is singing her song, and Leona stops to listen, face turned toward the woman. And then she murmurs softly only, "Verity." Then she moves to the picnic table in the shade to watch the festivities.

Listening to the song, Cora is quiet for sevral moments as Sabella moves to leave teh stage, finally she realizes she has stood there like a lackwit for an age and breaks into applause, "That was gorgeous! The talents of Princess Sabella as talented as she is beautiful! Next on our list is Sir Richard!"

Richard checked intellect + etiquette at difficulty 30, rolling 12 higher.

Katarina erupts in serious cheer for Sabella, genuinely moved by the Grayson princess's performance.

Harper waves over to Thena and Coraline both, giving them a big grin. Calling over she yells, "You're both doing a great job!" Her attention turns over to Sabella as she starts singing. As it ends, she cheers enthusiastically for Sabella.

Thena has finished getting everything around the auction stage arranged to her satisfaction, and now leans against a support with aeterna-clad arms crossed. As each performer shows off their talent she applauds politely, pausing an appropriate span of time after Sabella's song before tossing a little mock-salute to Harper an a wave to Leona.

Reese cheeks for Sabella. "Yay Sabella!" She cheered for Victus as well.

Reigna is still in line, but as Sabella sings, her expression grows rapt, and as the song ends, the Keaton Marquessa is looking downright heartbroken. She lifts a hand to wipe away a tear, and offers loud applause for Sabella's performance.

Lethe has left the Wooden Picnic Table.

Leona has joined the Wooden Picnic Table.

Sabella's song is beautiful, eliciting an enthusiastic reaction from Helia. More applause and cheering, because apparently she enjoys a good old shout. "Beautiful!" Then when the princess returns, she grins, the applause gently tapering off.

Richard goes up to the stage. His stride firm and quick. Once he has gotten up on said stage, he clears his throat. Perhaps to make sure he is in condition to speak. When he does so, its in a firm, clear cut voice: "I'm not much a performer. Or a dancer. Not even a poet. But what I am, is a man like all of you around me. I'd like for all of you to take the time to look at those close to you. Notice every movement of their fiber and body. Realize how we have come from one thousand years. Our forefathers, our ancestors, have fought for what is right. They sacrificed their lives for us to not be neither exterminated nor enslaved. Enemy armies have come and yet we have always persevered. Why? Because what we have is greater then anything in this world. It is an unbroken bond that makes us give our all. And this is because that person on your side, perhaps to your left or right, has done the impossible for us to move forward." He takes a deep breather as he offers what could be his best smile. A genuine and firm smile offered to those present. "Everyone has done their part. Every single person here has bled and shed blood and tears so we can be free. Every war has been difficult. We have had great losses, but still we move along. Like Lord Victus showing his determination. Or perhaps Mistress Auda with her skill with juggling. Or Princess Sabella, who sings for us to wash away our fears." He pauses again as he looks at each face. "We are here because we have fought to be so. Independent of our faults and weaknesses. We have remained united and we have remained strong." He lifts his hand and clenches a fist "And by the Pantheon we will never surrender. Thank you for listening to me."

Not coming so much from the direction of Arx, so much as from much farther down the beach, Prince Luca Grayson arrives at the fundraising event in the company of Delilah Whitewalk, walking next to her, one hand resting with ease on the hilt of the sword that is sheathed at his side, the fingers of his other hand wrapped around a half-finished bottle of something strong and golden-amber in color. He looks a little windswept from the breeze that rolls in from off the ocean, and appears to be caught in conversation with the Whitehawk woman, voice held low, but the attention of his dark-eye'd gaze is up and outward, sweeping across the people gathered. Whatever they're talking about, he lifts a hand and points something out, before shifting direction in just the slightest to angle him toward the southernmost dune.

Listening with rapt curiosity Cora applauds at the end of Richard's words, "A deep and important speech, thank you for your thoughts and sharing their import. Sir Richard folks! Next we have Marquessa Reigna."

What yonder flames of mirth and bright-soul`d charm set the beach ablaze strongly as any beacon invariably draw those fathomless eyes. Face turned away from the folded sea that foams just out of reach, Delilah takes in the whole span marked by the crowd upon the threshold marking the ocean's dominion and the detente with the land. Restless breezes set her skirts to billowing, bare feet treading a straight and easy path marked by a light gait in its confidence. What confidences she shares with the Grayson prince are snatched away from her lips nigh instantaneously, shredded by gleeful airy hands, much unlike the terminus of Richard's moving speech that washes over their relative direction. A denouement, but not impossible to make out. Braids twine and sway at her shoulders, and she might dare to laugh, cresting the dune and standing on tiptoe, bold adventurer claiming some new vista. The nearest of those already present she signals with a friendly wave, then slipslides her way down into the lee.

Reigna claps for her cousin's speech, offering him a bright smile, a bob of her head. The Marquessa is looking a little nervous, though it is muted. When it is her turn, she comes forward and offers a wave to the crowd. "I am going to stake something very precious to me on my talent today. And that talent is... finding things." She lifts her hand, the flash from her dragonweep ring catching the sunlight glimmers before she eases the ring off her finger. She hands the ring to Coraline and says, "I am going to close my eyes, turn my back and you are going to hide the ring. You can hand it to someone to hold onto, please just do not put it in the water. I do not think I can guarantee finding it in the whole of the ocean. I will count to twenty, and then I will turn around and deduce where my ring has gone."

Reigna checked perception + investigation at difficulty 30, rolling 21 higher.

With a nod, Cora does just that she takes the ring and slips off to hide it.

Miranda meanders down towards the beaches, clearly drawn by the cacophony of sounds created by the Fundraiser going on. She glances about, taking in the goings on as she does her best to determine where she might go hangout. She has a pretty good smile upon her face, perhaps excited to see what games she might get into tonight!

Sabella listens to Richard's speech and applauds loudly when he finishes, "That was very compelling!" And when Reigna steps up she watches curiously. "This is a most intriguing talent show! How wonderful to see so many different skills on display! I feel like I don't know half of you as well as I should!"

Reese turns her attention to Richard, listening to his speech and seemingly very impressed. She gives him a warm smile that touches her blue eyes. "Yay, very nice, Lord Richard."

Carita remains on the outskirts, closer to the gathering of trees, a cream covered concoction with the addition of sparkles to add a bit of glimmer to her otherwise milky complection - and obviously out of her norm. She watches Reigna with interest, her slippers in hand, ceruelan gaze tracking the goings on as she lifts up on tippy toes to get a better view.

When Reigna goes up on the stage, Richard seems quiet. But his expression? It is not one of amusement but one of a man who is quite surprised with what his cousin is doing. And that expression on his face is surprise, amazement and wonder. How ever would she find the ring? It was pretty much written on his eyes as he watched the scene unfold. He watches with rapt attention and curiosity.

Reigna does as she promised, her eyes are closed and she turns her back to the crowd. She counts loudly to twenty, and when she reaches the final number, she drops her hands from over her eyes and turns to look at the crowd. Her gaze is more than studious, there is a slow glide forward, her eyes on the ground as if assessing the quantity and quality of the footprints found there. She glances to Cora's feet and continues to make her way through the crowd. She pauses here and there, asking a few questions from various folk, always friendly, never directly asking but studying the eye movements of those she speaks to, picking up small tells. Within a few minutes, Reigna is kneeling in front of a small girl, a bright smile on her face as she holds out her hand. "May I please have my ring back?" The little girl offers it over and Reigna reaches into her pocket and pulls out a sweet in trade. She holds the ring up for all to see before putting it back on her finger and taking a small bow.

"Whooo! Good job!" Helia cheers and claps like with hearty appreciation at Richard's speech. "Great show!" Then she quirks up a brow at Reigna's performance. Intriguing!

Miranda finds the goings on with Reigna interesting, watching without really knowing what's going on. A talent show of some kind? She applauds as the woman finds her ring, grinning as she does.

Sabella has left the Northern Dunes.

Elizabetta, a disapproving lady-in-waiting have been dismissed.

Lily, an aloof lady-in-waiting have been dismissed.

2 Grayson House Guards have been dismissed.

Clark, an exasperated guard have been dismissed.

Cora had indeed handed the ring to a little girl, Avery a six year old who is overjoyed at being here and would be exploring if it weren't for her minders. But being given responsibility for such a beautiful thing, and that kind grace that was Reigna, she is even blushing in awe, clutching her sweet like a treasure. Cora is cheering heartily, "That was incredible! Marquessa Reigna everyone! Amazing! And now last, but certainly could never be least is Lady Monique!"

Monique checked dexterity + legerdemain at difficulty 30, rolling 45 higher.

Coraline gets Guiding Light Medallion from Arcuri Delivery Bag.

Coraline gets Guiding Light Medallion from Arcuri Delivery Satchel.

Coraline gets Guiding Light Medallion from Arcuri Delivery Tote.

But where is Lady Monique? It's really hard to say. She's been moving from small group to small group for so long now that it's almost impossible to keep track of the Greenmarch. With her head down, doing nothing to draw attention to herself for so long, all of a sudden she pops up in front of Coraline with the first place medallion already swinging from her cocky hand. "I think this one is mine."

Patting the bag, Cora counts the remaining medallions and gives Monique a wry grin, "And there you have it folks a skill of being unseen and unfelt, a woman who might well be a whisp of smoke for all her substance when desired and our winning entrant. Second going to Princess Sabella and third to Faruq. Everyone has done an incredible job, and what fantastic skills! Next up the auction!"

The line has been dismissed by Coraline.

Victus has joined the line.

Alexandre has joined the line.

Elgana has joined the line.

Katarina has joined the line.

Fatima has joined the line.

Reese peeks over to Monique, having a warm smile for her. "Yay, Lady Monique! The most sneaky redhead." She says.

Etienne has joined the line.

Reese has joined the line.

Rosalie has joined the line.

Denica has joined the line.

Edward has joined the line.

Faruq has joined the line.

Miranda applauds as the winners are announced and she moves along to get a better view of the auction.

Bashira has joined the line.

Carita has joined the line.

Brigida has joined the line.

Sabella has joined the line.

Thena smooths the skirts of her gown, takes a deep breath, and steps onto the auction stage. In a spectacle never before seen in Arx she's dressed not in gray, not in black leather, but in white, a blaze of aeterna and gold. There's a flash to her dark gaze and her gestures as she lifts her hands to quiet the crowd. The Lowers street patter is on display here as she speaks in a clear, carrying voice. "Ladies and Gentleman, welcome to the auction portion of this evening. You've seen some of the talent, heard some of the stories and now the time has come to purchase a piece of the legend." There's a flourish of white cloak as she gestures to the lineup. "Tonight is your opporunity to win the company of some of the best and brightest in Arx! But first...the rules!"

Another pause before she goes on, "You get at least an hour of time with the person you win! You can negotiate how the time is spent but the person you win gets final say! Either party can terminate the meeting at any time for any reason! All proceeds from this evening will go towards building up the new knightly Order of East Light. And...let's get started! First up is the High Lord of Thrax himself, king of the headstand. You've seen it yourself, now it's time to bid!"

Monique absconds with her medallion happily, and then settles in for the bidding.

Victus stands up from his table yet again, adjusting his flowing coat so he might look the faintest bit more presentable. The big Thraxian marches to the line-up, facing those who are going to bid. "My name is Victus Thrax. I sit in a throne and I tell people what to do. I like to drink, sail, and I'm gonna curse a whole lot in general." He explains. "If that sounds like your kinda fun, then I might be your man. My wife is in the shallows over there so avoid eye-contact with her while you're doing this or you might end up cursed, or some shit like that."

Reigna has joined the line.

"A thousand silver for his sorry rear." Alarissa calls out.

"A thousand five hundred silver for the big Thrax high lord," Katarina calls.

Faruq takes his medallion as well, looking rather pleased at having received one. As the auctioning is about to get started, Faruq has a quiet word to throw his name into the lot for potential rent. For an hour at least!

Reese is still curled-up beneath the tree. She tugs her hood back over her messy curls and folds her slender legs to one side. She looks to Victus and smiles. She then giggles at Alarissa's bid. "Six Thousand!"

Coraline has joined the line.

Leona speaks up then. "This will never do. For the High Lord? Thirty thousand silver and four hundred hours of good honest soldiers helping build your barracks." She gives Victus a look then. "Of course if I win, you'd better bring your armor."

"A half hour of his time?" But Leona offers up and Alarissa drops her skirts with a splash into the water and gestures. "You let Dame Leona outbid you? Come now! He's a High Lord! I'll even throw in your choice of alcohol from his cabinets. Even the -good- cabinet"

Richard has left the Beneath Trees.

Monique has joined the Beneath Trees.

"Ya' flatter me, cousin." Victus calls back to Leona. "Though I do have some qualms about being bid to guarantee pain and sweat. Rescue the damsel, somebody."

"Buck up, buttercup," Leona calls back. "Wounds heal."

"I might also remind everybody that this is all going for the very good cause of helping to keep our seas safe!" Denica calls out.

Reese seems so very amused as she watches the exchange.

"One thousand for the High Lord's sorry ass! No...1500. No, thirty thousand and some...hours! from Dame Leona, that's more like it," Thena says, as the bids come in.

"One hundred thousand." Alarissa calls out. "be a shame to see him pout all afternoon."

Fatima shouts: "Make him do chores!"

Denica shouts from nearby, "Make him organize your cosmetics!"

Luca, just a little playfully, calls out in companion to Denica, "Make sure he's fed, first!"

'Oh he'll be polishing the cutlery. Especially the spoons"Alarissa calls out. But then there's a whisper. "And three hundred military hours!"

"Like the Prince said, give him a nice dinner beforehand!" Jordan calls out.

Victus crosses his arms with a narrowed gaze. "My wife winning is cheating. Do I gotta do the headstand again?" The Prince begins to crouch down. "Don't push me, I'll fucking do it. It's gonna hurt real bad." He's already rolling onto his shoulders. "Fffff."

"Just before anybody has to ask, no I don't know how paint gets on all my spoons." Denica says then.

Thena looks pointedly, querying, from Leona to Alarissa and back again.

Alexandre just blinks at the amounts bid, clearly impressed.

Leona chuckles. "A hundred thousand then, and four hundred military hours." She winks at Alarissa. "I won't send him home too banged up."

"You should have gone last!" Sabella calls out with a laugh, "You're setting the bar too high!"

Reigna laughs and shakes her head, "Save some silver for the rest of us!"

Faruq laughs and claps at the bidding: "There won't be anything left for the rest of us." He shakes his head.

Miranda laughs softly at the antics of the Prince, "Come on then, Ladies! If you bid higher, he might well do a cartwheel! Won't that be a sight!"

Thena has joined the line.

"Send him home to me just well enough to do his duty and make more children Dame Leona." Alarissa calls out, deferring to the other woman and retreating that bidding.

Denica falls silent, though her eyes flash with mirth as she looks between all her family, in a bidding war for Victus.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Thena before departing.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Thena before departing.

Fatima joins in with the peanut gallery once more: "Alarissa, if you give Denica and I higher allowances, we'll definitely use them to bid him up and not spend them on clothes!" Honest, pinkie swear.

Thena blinks as a Solace squire rushes up to her on stage and hands her a missive. Then she announces, "We have an absentee bid for 200,000 silver and 200 work hours! Can you beat it!" This is to Leona...and everyone else, really.

Alarissa's moving out of the water, a finger lifted and makes for Leona.

"I veto." Victus calls back to Fatima. "None of you over there can be trusted with money and good silk."

"I disagree," Denica puts her hands on her hips. "Do you not see this umbra? That silver went to a worthy cause!"

Thena somehow manages to drop her voice lower but still be easily heard as Alarissa heads for Leona. "Goodness gracious me, are we about to have a collaboration on our hands?"

Whatever is whispered, alrissa turns, wet hems to her knees. "Two hundred thousand silver, and eight hundred hours of such hard military service. THe barracks will -gleam-."

Denica puts her hands into pockets sown into the sides of her dress. IT HAS POCKETS.

Miranda chuckles a bit to herself and begins to head back off the beach.

With a sweep of the arm, "We have 200,000 silver and a load of people-hours, together totaling 400,000 silver! Who wants to top that?" Thena looks around the gathering.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Thena before departing.

Teonia Redreef, Aryka Wyrmfang, 3 Thrax Guards, Marquessa Pudding, a pudgy puppy arrive, following Sorrel.

Thena scans another message, sighs dramatically, and declares, "Going once, twice and SOLD to...Prince Victus, I leave it to you to work that out. Next up, Lord Alexandre Wyrmguard! He's a Solace Knight Votary, so you know he's quality!" She gestures to the man to step up.

Turn in line: Victus

Turn in line: Alexandre

Victus makes a motion of dusting his shoulder off as he paces toward Leona and Alarissa. "Alright, am I learning how to make myself pretty or am I getting beaten to shit for a few days? Both of these options are horrifying to me, for the record."

Sorrel has joined the line.

There's a perss of a kiss to Leona's cheek from Alarissa. "make him work. Leave him groaning at the front steps of the Navegant springs would you?" There's a wink to her husband as clearly, ALarissa's leaving him in Leona's safe hands and she's returning back to the water.

Brigida calls out, "The shrine of Petrichor could use a good sweeping." Of course the floor of the shrine of Petrichor is dirt. So that's a lot of sweeping.

Lyric, an aspiring vocalist arrives, following Melody.

Alexandre steps forward when named, and turns to smile at those gathered. "Hello. I am indeed a Solace Knight Votary, as well as a Knight of the Order of East Light, and a Physician of the Physicians' Guild. I can offer entertainment as a sparring companion, riding companion or simply conversation. Or healing, if you're prone to hurting yourself, I suppose." he says.

Leona chuckles. "Oh I will," she says with a wink to Alarissa as she stands and moves over to Victus. "I've just gotten word from Sir Matthew and I have a little jaunt on which you are sure to be useful." She pauses. "But we'll save that for tomorrow, yes?" She pats Victus' arm comfortingly. "Take heart. It will be otterly fun, I'm certain."

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Thena before departing.

"You heard that right, he does it all. What am I bid," Thena calls after Alexandre introduces himself.

Monique allows a grin to steal across her lips, sending Etienne a faintly apologetic look Etienne's way. "Twenty thousand silver." She bids on Alexandre quite happily.

Otterly... Otterly? Utterly, otterly. Oh no. Victus' eye twitches with grim realization. "Don't you fucking tell me the Blackwhiskers still exist. You don't even know what happened last time!" Inconsolable, he throws his hands up before marching back to the table. Sulk.

There's busy and then there's -- This. Still, Melody mustered up the courage to step out onto the beach; her slips hooked in between her fingers and a pleasant curl to her lips as she caught sight of so many friends around. That smile only widened when she realized she made it just in time for the bid wars, prompting her to begin searching for a place to sit with those darkly eyes of hers.

Leona lets out a huge laugh and then says something quietly to Thena before slipping away.

Alexandre blinks when Monique makes her bid known. "Twenty..." Blink. Clearly it's not that Monique herself bid, it's more the amount. Which has clearly surprised the platinum-haired Wyrmguard. Blink.

"I'll bid, um... 5,000 silver and... 150 hours of social networking!" Rosalie calls out with a grin.

Faruq lifts a hand in a wave to Melody when he catches sight of her entrance onto the beach. It would be amazingly easy to not notice the wave amongst so many people. He's also sitting on a blanket, on a dune. Probably doesn't help.

Reese peeks over to Melody, giving her a warn smile of greeting. "Mistress Melody!" She says. She then listens to Rosalie's bid and her blue eyes widen. "I was going to bid. I am always getting hurt and need doctors, but that is too much for me."

Leona has left the Wooden Picnic Table.

"Twenty thousand, that's a hell of a starting point," Then says conversationally, if loudly, befote stepping aside just a moment to listen to Leona and give her a quick nod and smile. Then Rosalie tosses her bid in.

Captain Teemo, a mountain lion cub leaves, following Leona.

Delilah's laughter takes dark wing over the southern dunes, a few stray notes carried on a balmy updraft to cavort among the bloodshot fabric of the sky.

Dust the rat arrives, delivering a message to Brigida before departing.

And then Rosalie makes her bid, and Alexandre is now blinking at HER. "But--" No, protesting may not be the best time when someone is donating silver and writs for very worthwhile causes! So Alexandre wisely shuts up.

3 House Riven Soldiers, 1 Greenwood Tribe Blood Warriors, white-tailed eagle, Lianna arrive, following Mia.

Denica waves brightly with some excitement over from the picnic table. "Melody! You made it!" Denica beams towards her, and there's another excited wave for Mia. "And you too Countess!"

"A very sweet and generous offer," Thena says of Rosalie. "Does anyone want to stand in the way of true love?" She flashes a faintly wolfish grin.

Mia arrives in something of a flurry, her long skirts -- so often kicked up from the speed of her usual pace -- now in a flurry. Clearly, the Countess simply *hates* being late to an event. Her eyes scan the crowd hurriedly, taking in the mass of faces. So many! Fortunately, it's Denica's excited wave that catches her eye and she moves in that direction, exclaiming, "Your Highness. You have no idea how very exhausting it can be to extract yourself from one of a five year old's dwindling, and therefore explosive, tantrums."

Sparte has been tucked away and observing quietly, out of sight and out of mind. Then he goes and ruins it by getting a messenger. They don't just go to Sparte discretely either, they strain and they grunt to bring him an important delivery. Now there is a mildly perturbed Sparte standing off to one side with a heavy sack of rocks in his hands.

Rosalie blushes, but smiles brightly towards her fiance and giggles. "You never said we couldn't bid on each other, Alex!" Never leave a loophole for the Scholar to find, Alexandre.

"No? Going once...twice..." Thena pauses for Drama.

1 Valardin House Guards, an elegant snowy owl, Lystra, Morigan, Fayre arrive, following Isidora.

Carita has joined the Quiet Strand.

Carita has left the Quiet Strand.

Turn in line: Elgana

Victus is overheard praising Order of east light: For a fine auction and some fine auctioning too.

Victus is overheard praising Solace: For their assistance in making this a reality.

"No, I do not," Denica agrees. "But Perhaps someday!" Denica beams to Mia and looks around as the auction progresses. "I still haven't gone, so you at least haven't missed that part!"

Carita has joined the Southern Dunes.

"Sold!" Thena gestures for Rosalie to come collect Alexandre, or the other way 'round. "And now for Princess Elgana who, if I'm remembering correctly, was gifted with an hour to do her sister's hair at our last auction. Come on up, Princess."

A sandy, ocean-swept Elgana makes her way from that southern-most dune, sand skittering and whirling off the folds of her gown as it is wont to do as she moves barefoot toward where it is the auctioning is being held. Her cheeks are rosy from the wind, dark eyes shiny and all those mahogany curls have been tossed about giving the Redrain a touch wild look. She beams that smile at Thena then. "Goodness! Such wonderful bids being made for such a wonderful cause," she exclaims with a laugh. "Right then. Princess Elgana Redrain." That gets a curtsy. "I can't promise too much ordering about or anything of the like, but I can offer company and laughter, maybe one or two bear jokes. Ah," she goes thoughtful and then shrugs. "Whatever it is we princesses are supposedly supposed to do! I will warn I tend to work a lot, so you may get to watch me run about a lot. Or hide from responsibility. Shhh, don't tell my high lord!" A wink cast there.

Finds herself on the beach and looks around finding Coraline she walks up to her friend to see what is going on.

Laughing at Rosalie's comment, Alexandre returns to the trees once his turn on the autcion block is over with.

Mia has joined the Wooden Picnic Table.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Helia before departing.

Reese is still curled-up beneath the tree even as she listens to the auction taking place. She gives Elgana a gentle smile when she gives her introduction. "5 Thousand!" She calls out with.

Smiling at Isidora, Cora nods to the auction block, "Things are going great! Everyone has been so amazing and it has barely even begun!"

Reigna has left the Beneath Trees.

4 Novice Keaton Huntsmen have been dismissed.

Marie, chef of Keaton Hall have been dismissed.

Thena points at Reese. "That's 5000 from Princess Reese! Two princesses hanging out doing princess things, that can't be safe. Anyone want to top that?"

"Never is," Elgana assures Thena before she turns that warm smile outward once more.

nods to Coraline glad they were doing well. "I'm glad to hear that. Hopefully we will get what we need."

Nikola, an impish raven, 2 Armed Confessors arrive, following Elloise.

Nikola, an impish raven have been dismissed.

Larger footfalls punched into the tumbling surface allow Delilah to attain such lofty heights as the dunes allow, that task eased without threat of a fall. Within the blossoming swirl of those star-prick'd skirts, she presses her hands together in a soundless clap. Her scimitar-slim profile enveloped in tones of dusk lends a somewhat more sombre impression atop that sand-shot crest serving as her natural podium. The mellifluous chords struck by her mezzosoprano voice announce themselves against the other bids, a clarion bell loud as that: "Fifty thousand silver."

Elloise is here -- uhm. Only because there was a lot of kerfluffle down the way from where home is. There are a lot of people. A LOT. Her pale eyes get huge, her mouth works, and she's nope-nope-noping her way back toward the la-bar-ratory.

"You take your lives into your own hands, friends. Going once, twice, sold to Princess Reese!" Thena calls, shooting a quick grin at Elgana before going on. "Next up, Princess Katarina!"

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Helia before departing.

BUT WAIT! Thena backpedals! "I'm sorry, I totally lied. We have 50,000 from Lady Delilah Whitehawk!"

Reese looks all happy when its announced she won. "Yay, princess things!" She says, but then hears that Delilah really won instead. She smiles over to the Lady and then to Elgana, a bit sheepish and still cheerful.

"SOLD to Lady Delilah," Thena says hastily before she screws up again. "Luckily we have many princesses still available! Such as Princess Katarina! I mean it this time!"

Isabetta has joined the Beneath Trees.

Elgana turns that smile, which has gone toward surprise toward Delilah at that bid but she laughs. "Well now. Unexpected twist!" And then off she wanders toward the sandy lady. "Shall we re-join the dune?" she wonders before she gestures with her slippers in hand and makes her way back toward the others left behind. "That was lovely of you, Lady Whitehawk."

Turn in line: Katarina

When her time comes to be presented for auction, Katarina rises and gracefully sweeps her way up onto the stage. Hers is an almost anxious, but endearing smile as an artfully-painted palm is angled in short wave toward the crowd. "My name is Princess Katarina Valardin, nee Al'Muraq-Sabbat. I'm an admiral of exploration for the Oathlands fleet, an avid supporter of the Order of the East Light, enjoy adventure, the art of debate, and mystery. As some of you may know, I was once a princess of a distant dune kingdom. Bid high for me, and I'll tell you the stories of my old home while regaling you with my skills in mystic tea reading art."

Delilah's moonbeam smile holds a silvered edge of pure delight, and she dips at the knee, though the effect with that liquescent robe of dusk around her might imply simply that the substance of her folds into the most curious of draperies. She raises her palm in mute salute to the others, Elgana receiving the deep inclination of her head. "We welcome you as warmly as you welcome all, Princess Elgana! Worth cannot be measured, but this is a pale shadow to the generosity you have shown to many." Her task done, she drops easily back, practically skidding down the back of the dune. Hopefully no one gets flattened.

Reese peeks up toward Katarina as she introduces herself. "Yay, Princess Katarina. Six thousand." She calls out.

Faruq lifts a hand up after Katarina's introduction, throwing out a bid to start: "Ten thousand silver!" Just to get things moving, and to out bid Reese. Whom gets a grin of her own.

Thena acknowledges the first two bids with a nod. "And we're up to 10,000 for this story-filled princess!"

Denica lifts her hand. " 15,000!"

Faruq does some math. Yes, he uses his fingers. Counting on the tips of his fingers with his thumb tip one after the other. After a few moments he raises the bid higher with: "Seventeen thousand and five hundred!"

Fatima does sit up and ooh and clap a little for Katarina when she appears, just in support. Though there is some glance sidelong at the others bidding. "Mmmm, 20,000 at least? I can't allow my fellow Eurusi princess to show poorly." There's also a sideline smirk over at Faruq, for whatever reason.

Thena waits patiently for Faruq to finish his math, then looks pointedly around at the others once he calls out his bid.

"Two /Eurusi/ princesses doing princess things? We really can't have that," she tacks on after Fatima.

Reese hmms softly. "That does sound like trouble."

"I just hope I get to witness whatever trouble these two get up to!"

Moving relatively lightly, the slender figure of the crownsworn bard Ezekiel might be seen making his way down to join the event, his gaze flitting towards those present. He has an aura of pleasant grace, leaning against one of the nearby trees.

Isidora watches the money fly around.

There is a mild purse of Katarina's lips, contemplating the bids currently upon herself. "I'll personally raise four hundred thirty promisary notes I have tied in trade, as well as fifty-four hours of service from the Eventide fleet to contribute to any of the Solace or Order of East Light's needs."

Katarina has left the Northern Dunes.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Thena before departing.

Faruq laughs: "I cannot match the Princesses bid on herself. I concede the bidding."

Thena's dark eyebrows lift. "Did she just...bid on herself? Oh wait..." Another messenger. "I have a bid of 100,000 for Princess Katarina. Anyone care to top that?"

Helia has left the Northern Dunes.

Prince Biscuit, the seadog puppy have been dismissed.

Harper pushes up off of the sand and gives a wave over to Luca and Delilah, "I gotta be going. Was nice seeing you two. Just let me know when you wanna spar." Limping her way out she tosses another wave to Thena and Coraline, calling over, "I hope you get another day to yourself, Grandmaster! Good luck!"

Turn in line: Fatima

Reigna has joined the line.

Confusion! Chaos! Something is weird in the books! "We will just...move on for the time being, until we can confirm a few things. Princess Fatima, please come up and introduce yourself!"

Says Thena

Harper has left the Southern Dunes.

Dot, the war-wiener, Judy, an investigative assistant leave, following Harper.

Fatima takes this whole thing to be a little bit of a runway show style affair. Only, erm, with a beach. She sashays her way up front, making an extra point to make her faux-Eurusi bangle jewelry jingle and jangle as she goes. It ends posed akimbo, with a hand on her hip and one leg extended from her skirts. "I am, of course, Princess Fatima Thrax. It seems a littel unfair that they put the two of us up together! But like darling Katarina, my heritage, too, extends a little further beyond most Thrax." A pause, and she adjusts her stance toward the other side. "What you can expect, beyond the immense pleasure to be found in the company of one of the great beauties of the city? Of this exotic foreign gem, polished by the Maelstrom to wash upon our shores?" She raises a finger to her lip. "I shan't do any heavy lifting, nor anything that should require much sweating unless its terribly enjoyable. However, apart from my wonderful social companionship, I offer language lessons and other cultural curiousities. Bid on me, and you'll not only support my cousin's most wonderful endeavor, but enjoy a glimpse into the mysteries of far-off lands." A pause. "Also, I run a pack of seaborn privateers, so if you need anyone robbed at sea, I might be useful also." Probably joking. PROBABLY.

Fatima has left the Northern Dunes.

Reese listens to Fatima's introduction and once again she bids. "7 thousdand!" She calls out.

Jordan says, "Ten thousand, why not."

Faruq grins at Fatima's announcement, and then the bids what everyone already knows he can bid: "Seventeen five."

Richard arrives after having left earlier to deal with a situation. But it seems that whatever it was, was solved. He performs a simple bow to those present and to those that don't know him he establishes his name. "Richard Wyrmguard."

Jordan says, "Eighteen thousand!"

The slender crownsworn considers the Princess for a moment, his brows furrowing together, before inquiring softly. "Thirty," Ezekiel calls out, his voice a pleasant thing.

Faruq scowls at Jordan, does some more counting on his fingers.

Faruq stops counting at Ezekiel's bid with a laugh.

Richard looks confused. "What is going on?"

Thena lets Fatima take her time to work the stage a bit before starting up the patter. "The bidding's heating up for our second Princess from far away! We have 30,000!"

Sir Alren arrives, following Bianca.

"I think he wins," Jordan confides to Faruq.

Fatima lifts a hand to winger-wave over at her former spot in the shade, where math is being done. "Perhaps you boys can go in together?"

Ford laughs to himself from his seat.

Thena opens her dark eyes wide at Fatima's suggestion and very pointedly looks at Jordan and Faruq.

Reese looks over to Richard. "Oh, bidding people as part of the fundraiser, Lord Richard." She says gently to the man while still curled-up beneath the tree.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Thena before departing.

Faruq nods at Jordan's comment: "True, singularly." He leans over towards Jordan and murmurs quietly to him.

Reigna looks to Richard and offers a smile, "People are placing bids in order to secure an hour or more of the person's time. All the winning bids are donations to the cause."

"I mean, I can go twenty-three tops, unless they're taking money /and/ writs. In which case I can probably go..." Jordan considers it for a moment, "Thirty-two."

Jordan listens, though.

"Oh they are accepting both," Fatima assures. "No reason to be thrifty. It's for a good cause." She gestures up and down herself with one hand. "Erm, two good causes, even!"

Another messenger hastens in, another missive is read, though this one brings a little puzzled frown to her lips. "We have a silent bid for various trade goods totaling 50,000 silver."

Thena, again

"Fifty-five," Ezekiel counters, his lips quirking slightly.

Bianca descended the cliff-side path, making her way down toward the festivities and headed first to locate the Grandmaster to offer a quick hello before letting Thena get back to being hostess. After which her boots were dismissed and Sir Alren was kind enough to hold a few things as she headed off to the water to dip in those pale toes!

Bianca has joined the In the Water.

Faruq was about to raise another bid when Ezekiel bids past the fifty thousand and he laughs again with a shake of his head. With that his attention returns to Thena, Coraline, and Fatima: "I'm afraid fifty five will take her from us. More is the pity. Probably for the best, how would we split her? We'd have to share."

Delilah casts a look back at the bidding, bottle briefly in hand. Goodness, imbibing of a beverage during the active swirl of bidding, whatever will her kin think? No doubt they'd shove another bottle her way. From her cozy perch atop the dune, she grins briefly and sharp at Ezekiel's bid. "That was unexpected."

"Fifty-five is the bid to beat!" Thena says very loudly before pausing to return Bianca's greeting. Then back to the hustle, and the other bidders back down. Anyone running notes to her? Anyone?

Jordan shrugs at that. "Coin flipping generally works with that. I'm afraid Ezekiel's got it, though, obviously."

Fatima pouts a little. "Oh, I trust you lads could manage somehow to be equitable about it. More's the pity." That being said, she does glance voer toward Ezekiel out of pure curiousity now, for this mysterious bidder. "Perhaps he really needs language lessons!"

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Thena before departing.

Look, there's one. Thena looks at the note handed to her, looks up. "65,000 silver for Fatima! Can anyone top that?"

"I'll gladly provide you fifteen thousand right now if you want to top it," Jordan calls out to Ezekiel.

Fatima ponders. "Or someone really needs someone robbed at sea."

Thena flashes Fatima the most guileless of smiles and tucks the paper away, letting Jordan and Ezekiel have a little chat.

A glance is offered towards Jordan and Ezekiel's smile becomes a grin. "Seventy, then," he says, his head bowing towards Thena.

Thena nods. "Seventy bid for a robbery at sea maybe! Anyone else?"

Jordan offers a faint nod to Ezekiel, tossing a coin bag to the man. "Have fun."

With no other eager squires and acolytes dashing over with scraps of paper, "Going once! Twice! Sold to this person!" She gestures towards Ezekiel, then waves to Reigna. "I'm slipping Marquessa Reigna Keaton in while we still have her here...my favorite healer in the Compact, ladies and gentlemen!"

Arching a brow at this final exchange between Jordan and the Mystery Man, ultimately, Fatima gives a little smirk. Also somewhat like Katarina, she's quick to be off once the bidding is done. "Oh, and I bid twenty on Denica and Cora, just so no one snatches either of my beloved cousins cheaply." She glances over the the former bidding area. "And on Lord Faruq because I suspect Denica will be bidding on him. In fact, just let me know what she bids by messenger and perhaps I'll send one back. Ta!"

Rosalie has left the Beneath Trees.

Alexandre has left the Beneath Trees.

Alexandre has joined the In the Water.

Rosalie has joined the In the Water.

4 Thrax Guards leaves, following Fatima.

Reigna blushes a bit, clearly more than a little nervous as she steps up as she is called. There is a warm smile for Thena, and a "You are far too kind, Grandmaster Thena." She looks out to the crowd and offers a smile full of warmth and winsome grace, "I am Marquessa Reigna Keaton, a Senior Scholar of Vellichor, and the Guildmaster of the Physicians Guild of Arx. I enjoy fashion and design, reading and numbers. I can be of assistance on a number of topics!"

Ford lifts his hand, "Five thousand!"

Reese calls out "10 thousand!"

Drawing something from his satchel, Ezekiel steps towards Coraline. It is a small sheaf of papers. "These should match the necessary drafts," he offers, his smile a warm thing, head bowing her way, before stepping back.

Thena grins at Reigna, then starts paying attention to the bids. "10,000 from Princess Reese, the winning bid thus far!"

Luca cups one hand to the side of his mouth and calls out from the top of the southern dune, "You're out of your minds, that's Reigna Keaton! Fifty-thousand!", almost like it were an aside, before he goes back to the conversation at hand. Clearly he's listening, though.

Accepting the stack, Cora smiles to Ezekiel, "Thank you, thank you very much."

an elegant snowy owl have been dismissed.

Lystra have been dismissed.

Morigan have been dismissed.

Fayre have been dismissed.

1 Valardin House Guards have been dismissed.

Reigna looks very flattered at the opening bids, but as Luca offers his, her eyes widen and it is clear she was not at all expecting that much. Her smile is a little stunned and she curtsies towards the Grayson prince.

"Better!" Thena calls as Luca's bid, and then to the crowd at large, "Look, she can probably stick your leg back on if you're in need of that sort of thing. You never know!"

"She also," Monique calls out loudly, "is one of the most talented designers in the City! Why, Marquessa Reigna designed the Legendary Costumes for The Gala!"

Luca seems to agree with Thena, nodding along as she makes a point, "You're right! Sixty-thousand!". The Prince outbids himself, while carrying on with what he's doing on the dune up there.

"That's not how you bid dumbass!" Victus calls out to the dunes.

"In a twist, Prince Luca has just outbid Prince Luca! Would anyone else like to outbid Prince Luca?" Hey, it's a bit odd, but Thena certainly isn't questioning it.

Luca looks over his shoulder. There's a dumbass somewhere? Then he turns his gaze back to Victus, "You're not the boss of me, Victus!", and he looks between Delilah and Carita, "Someone give me some cosmetics to throw to that man. He's getting hungry and mouthy.."

Isidora has joined the Northern Dunes.

With no further offers, Thena says with mock regret, "Very well...I do hope there will be no bad blood between Prince Luca over his defeat. Sold to Prince Luca for 60,000 silver!" She crinkles her nose cheerfully at Reigna and murmurs, "You can stick leg back on, right?" before looking at her list and gesturing to the next person. "And now Blessed Etienne, Archlector of Gild, everyone's favorite goddess of civilization, commerce and /charity/!"

Turn in line: Etienne

Etienne wanders over from the stand of trees and presents himself in front of the crowd, he fidgets with the sides of his long coat, all shiny and splendiferous. He clears his throat, the sound that emerges is in contrast to his somewhat unsteady demeanor, steady, clear, and commanding. "I am Etienne.. " he adds a moment later. "Of Gild. For those that don't know me. I can.. offer .." there is another pause, he had prepared a list, not that he had written it down but it was firmly between his ears just moment ago. "Good conversation, a guided tour of various scenic venus of the Faith, well.. I think they're scenic." he seems unsure. "I'm quite the good listener, if you've any sort of calculating tasks you're loath to do I can also assist, also I'm quite at home with any number of musty books." The solidly built golden-haired Archlector seems to has finished his exhaustive list of desirable characteristics. "Remember, Gild will mark your generosity!" invoking the Gods to pull those purse strings, a fringe benefit.

"Certainly. I cannot promise it will *stay* on, but I can definitely put a leg back on." Reigna winks back to Thena and then slips away heading over towards the northern dunes to offer Luca a deeper curtsy and a wave of her hand.

Edward stands up from the table and he says, "Well, excuse me folks but I see smoke coming from the Reef. I should go investigate that...," and he starts off at a clip before getting far enough to start to run.

Monique doesn't really need any prompting, but she patiently waits until Etienne has made his spiel before calling out with a grin, "And he's handsome, too! Twenty thousand silver."

Edward has left the Wooden Picnic Table.

From the sandy dune comes Elgana's voice: "Thirty-thousand!"

"Forty!" Alarissa calls out.

Monique waits, biding her time with some strange measure of patience. Finally, she offers, "Fifty thousand."

"Sixty!" Elgana calls again.

'Sixty five!" Alarissa offers

Carita glances up at Luca, "The High Lord eats cosmetics?" She looks owlishly after Victus and back to Luca before she turns her attention on who's up on the chopping block next.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Thena before departing.

There's a squint and Monique looks a little annoyed. "Two hundred thousand."

Having finished speaking Etienne doesn't seem to have anything else to do but stand there, his smile is of the usual stature, warm and friendly.. but there are clear lines of tension along his pale brows.

Luca, from up on high his dune, waves Reigna over to where a small group of people have gathered.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Thena before departing.

Thena is pretty much already looking right at Monique when the woman makes her bid, though her gaze tracks to Elgana, then Alarissa as they raise. And a note. "100,000 silent bid." Another note. "250,000."

"I don't think that can be topp-" Jordan frowns. "Whoa. You've got fans, Blessed Etienne!"

Jordan frowns pensively, that is.

Monique squints at Etienne thoughtfully, and then offers, "Three hundred thousand."

Reigna slips away up the beach, a content smile on her still blushing face. She does, however, seem to be in much finer spirits than when she arrived.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Thena before departing.

It starts with the tips of Etienne's ears, they turn a distinct red color. Followed by his face, and easily seen at his neckline, his embarrassment continues down probably all the way to the ground.

Oaken, an Oakhaven bloodhound, 4 Novice Keaton Huntsmen, Gigi, an apprentice physician's assistant, Marie, chef of Keaton Hall, Orin, a Felhound sergeant leave, following Reigna.

Thena rubs at the back of her neck and directs a nod at Monique. Then she accepts another folded piece of paper. "Military hours equaling 375,000."

2 Grayson House Guards, Elizabetta, a disapproving lady-in-waiting, Lily, an aloof lady-in-waiting, Clark, an exasperated guard leave, following Sabella.

Monique laughs quietly, and shakes her crimson head. "I'll concede. That's more than I can justify when I already get so much of the Archlector's time for free. It's a steal and he's worth far more though," the Greenmarch adds with a glowing look to Etienne.

Etienne laments his lack of pockets, as he has no place for his hands to hide, so he clasps them behind him while he stands there, inexplicably increasing in value.

There's only the briefest glance around as Monique concedes before Thena announces, "A silent bid equivalent to 375,000 wins! Blessed, you're almost as expensive as your altar." She waves to Reese. "Princess Reese, your turn!"

Turn in line: Reese

Alexandre has left the In the Water.

Reese hears her name and she peeks over to Thena. She then rises to her slipper adorned feet and starts to the front of the gathering, moving with her nimble grace. Reese seems a little shy and her cheeks are pink like the ribbons in her golden locks. "Hi everyone. Most know me. I am Princess Reese." She seems, but then struggles over what to say next. "And am part of the East Light Order and well I would for someone to bid on me. Thanks!"

"10,000 silver for ribbons!" Victus pipes up.

Faruq raises his hand and calls out: "Fifteen thousand!"

Denica says, " 50 Social writs! I think that's worth more? What's that worth?"

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Etienne before departing.

Richard watches the current scene. "Just for curiosity, how do I participate in the Auction?" This he says to those who can hear him clearly.

"Thirty!" Alarissa calls out

"Princess Alarissa in the lead with a bid of 30,000!" Thena calls, with a little regretful headshake to Denica. Not enough.

"Shout out how much you are willing to pay and make good on it to Princess Coralina and Dame Thena," Delilah calls instructions to Richard, dune-ward. The active buzz of the auction in progress might be difficult to overcome, but she pitches her voice as well as she can. "Writs or silver, perchance some other prospect they find appealing. You never know about throwing in your favourite boot collection!"

"NO BOOTS," Thena yelps.

"As of this time, The Order of East Light is not accepting boots as a form of payment," Denica pipes up.

"They could be made of precious substances, you never know!" the Whitehawk girl chimes in, a gentle laugh etched among the vibrant notes. "But silver coin preferred, have no doubt."

Richard nods towards Delilah. "I'd like to participate in the Auction. But not bidding, rather..." He clears his throat and continues saying. "Not sure anyone will bid that much on me."

Denica is overheard praising Order of east light.

"I bid social favors equaling 50,000 silver for Princess Reese," Thena proclaims. "Anyone else?"

Bianca called, "Military favors equal to 60,000."

Richard has joined the line.

Thena staggers back dramatically as Bianca outbids her. "This is how schisms happen! Who can top 60,000? Oh, me. I can. 80,000 for Princess Reese."

Reese seems all flattered by Thena's and Bianca's bids. She gives them both a smile.

Amari has left the Wooden Picnic Table.

Bianca laughed lightly from her place on the water's edge, warm smile drifting to Reese. "She is worth far more, but unfortunately my coffers are too strapped. I concede to you, Grandmaster. -This time-!" She bowed her head to Thena.

River, a juvenile Oakhaven bloodhound, 3 Tyde Houseguard, Archeron leave, following Amari.

"The winner is me!" Thena declares with a flash of a grin at Bianca, then Reese. "I look forward to it, Princess. All right...next up...Rosalie!"

Turn in line: Rosalie

Reese smiles warmly over to Thena. "Thank you, GrandMaster. I am honored." She says in her direction. She then heads back to her tree, curling up there once again.

Denica calls out. "She is worth far more. I spent much of my savings weeks ago. I only regret that I didn't save more in preparation for tonight. But have you seen this dress?" she waves over to Reese, giving herself a twirl

Bianca has left the In the Water.

Looks up from her conversation by the water's edge and giggles, "Oh! I guess that means my turn!" She scampers up towards the stage and navigates her way on up. Once on the stage, she smiles brightly and waves towards everyone. "Hello! I'm Lady Rosalie Redtyde. I dabble in a little of a lot of things, though I excel most in matters of economics, research, and riddles! I'm game for pretty much anything at least once and I just hope that everyone here has some fun!"

'Ten thousand" Alarissa calls out.

Denica says, "Fifteen Thousand"

"15,000 for Lady Rosalie Redtyde," Thena echoes Denica. "Anyone else?"

"Twenty. I cannot bear to see her go for less than twenty" Alarissa calls out.

Melody definitely did not doze off to the wonderful springtime sunset out on the beach. Definitely not. Something jolted her awake -- Or up -- Onto her feet, and over to the bench where she languidly settled at, dropping her elbows on the table as she echoed out in a sleepy murmur, "... Game for pretty much anything at least once." At that, she'd scrub her cheeks and snort out a laugh. "Surely that's worth more than twenty thousand!"

Melody has joined the Wooden Picnic Table.

"Nor can I," Thena replies with a flicker of a smile. "For 20,000 silver, going going gone to Princess Alarisaa Thrax, one Redtyde who is game for anything! Next up, Princess Denica Thrax, whose starting bid, courtesy of Princess Fatima, is 20,000 silver!"

Reese calls out "Thirty Thousand!"

Turn in line: Denica

Quiet and simply seeing the bids, Richard seems to be slightly surprised. He probably hasn't seen the scope and magnitude of auction house... His concern has always been to be a solid doctor.

Laughing, Rosalie makes her way off the stage and back down to the water's edge, rejoining Alarissa with a grin, "Well, Your Highness, it would seem I am yours!"

Denica nods in agreement to Melody. "Certainly. I'd have tried if I had more to spare," Denica laments. But then she's up! So, Denica rises to stand before everybody, giving Melody a passing smile. "I'm Princess Denica Thrax, and I'm an artist, the Voice of Thrax, and I enjoy just about anything under the sun. Maybe go for a walk on the beach, go for drinks or if I'm really feeling the creative spark, I could even paint you a portrait!" she offers with a bright grin, and before she'd even finished speaking, Reese is upping the bid. "Thank you Princess Reese!"

And it is back to counting for Faruq, those poor fingers. Even before Denica is able to introduce herself the bidding climbs higher but still he counts! More fingers! Both hands! But thirty thousand bid by Reese makes him throw his hands up and shake them out with a laugh: "I am sorry Princess... I have been undone before I could even say a word."

"That didn't take long," Thena notes drolly as Reese immediately beats the starting bid.

Mia chimes in with a relatively tight voice. "Thirty-five!"

Thena declares, "35,000 from Countess Mia! Anyone else?"

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Etienne before departing.

Alarissa has left the In the Water.

"Going, going and gone to Countess Mia Riven. I would love to see the finished portrait," Thena says with a smile before consulting her list again. "Next up, Lord Faruq Seraceni." Clearly not someone she can identify on sight, but, "Come on up!"

Turn in line: Faruq

Rosalie has left the In the Water.

Rising up from his seat on the Northern Dune, Faruq ambles towards the auction block with ease. On the way his hat comes off, swept clear from his perfectly bald head. The coat comes off after to bare his scarred shoulders and heavily muscled chest. Three buckles are undone on his plackart and the midsection armor gets removed. All of this gets set down on the stage of the block before he hops up onto it bare from the waist up. He offers a brilliant smile that contrasts his white teeth and dark skin to everyone still awake: "I am Lord Faruq Seraceni, Sword of Ischia." A bow is given, "For the right price of whatever is currently left in your money pouches, or what writs and time are available to you. I can be yours."

Denica eyes Mia as she ups the bid and she beams, giving a grateful nod to Reese as well. "I do wonder what you're going to want to do with my time! Looking forward to it," she grins as she moves to resume her seat, giving Melody a little smirk as she settles herself down.

"For a time." Faruq says after a dramatic pause and he smiles: "Like many others my skills and enjoyments vary wildly and are based entirely upon the company. Everything is on the table, until I say no hmm?" He straightens up: "All else, I am good at physical labor hmm?" And he stretches his arms out to display a lot of dark skinned muscle, and scars.

Cupping a hand around her mouth, Melody shouts out, "Twenty thousand!" -- The fingers of her other hand? Dubiously wrapped around the neck of a bottle of whiskey, which is soon to be meeting her lips.

Both of Mia's brows arch sharply at the question of what will be done with Denica's time. "Well, you DO have a key to that wonderful library I've heard so much of, I presume." How decidedly not scandalous at all.

Isidora applauds for Faruq, "Way to go!!!"

"I hear 20,000 for this person who has taken a lot of their clothes off," Thena proclaims.

"Wait. Library? Stories?" Ezekiel looks towards Mia, eyes widening. Then, after a moment he sighs, shaking his head slightly. His hand rises to his jaw, stroking slowly.

Reese is still curled-up beneath the tree. She is blushing, but doesn't place a bid.

"Only 20,000 silver for all this?" Thena asks again, gesturing at Faruq. "Very well. Sold for 20,000! Thank you Lord Faruq, don't forget your jacket there...next we have Bashira Rutaul!"

Turn in line: Bashira

Denica gives an apologetic look. "She already beat me to the punch," Denica says to Faruq

Bashira rises from the table that she was sitting at and the woman heads for the stage, for those that know her she definitely does not look like her usual self. There's a smile to the crowd, "I'm Mistress Bashira Ru-Taul, a member of the Order of East Light. Master Sailor and Shaman." she states with a dip of her head to everyone. The raven haired woman gives a look to Coraline and Thena as if to ask if she should add anything. "Oh. I'm good with small weapons. Much to Prince Luca's dismay." she grins to that.

Delilah laughs behind her hand, unable to resist something said by her companions.

Faruq bows to Melody with a laugh and a wink at Denica afterwards. He gathers up his coat, hat, and plackart and gets out of the way for the next person to be auctioned off. He moves over towards where Melody sits and finds a spot beside her with a wave to Jordan and Isidora on the way.

Faruq has left the Northern Dunes.

Faruq has joined the Wooden Picnic Table.

waves at Faruq

"Me too," Thena tells Bashira, before addressing the crowd. "Sailing! Small weapons! What am I bid?"

Bashira gives a look around and then back to Thena, "I bid five thousand." she tells her with a smile.

Bashira has left the Wooden Picnic Table.

Upon hearing his name called out, Prince Luca turns that dark gaze of his over to where Bashira is, "We'll teach you a real weapon! No worries!", he offers by way of response, with a laugh, from up there on that dune. Hearing the woman bid on herself, he says, "You can't bid on yourself! I bid twenty-thousand!".

Thena looks about ready to say something else to Bashira when Luca pipes up again. Half to him and half to the woman on stage with her, "He's not wrong. About bidding on yourself, anyway. I have 20,000!"

"Oh. Well..." Bashira gives a sheepish smile between the two of them. Though she gives a bit of a look to Luca and there's a dip of her head to him.

Demetria Arcuri arrives, delivering a message to Jordan before departing.

"20,000 silver to Prince Luca. Daggers are best, don't let him tell you different," Thena says to Bashira, and then waves Coraline over. "Next up, the host with the most, the Grandmaster of the Order of East Light herself with a starting bid of 20,000 silver, Dame Coraline Thrax!"

Reese calls out. "30 thousand!"

Shouts loudly for her friend, "Way to go!"

Ford lifts his hand, "Thirty-One thousand."

Bashira moves down off the stage and heads over towards Luca to whisper something to the Prince.

"Uh, yes, daggers /are/ the best, at being the worst.", Luca assures Thena with a laugh, and then a bit of a smirk. Still, he seems chuffed to have not been outbid. There's a kiss blown to Bashira, "I've never paid to train someone before! Usually it's the other way around! This is a bold, new world."

"So much for that starting bid!" Thena looks momentarily distracted as one of her knights fetches up next to the stage area and looks like he's very politely but very firmly trying to get her attention. There's a series of 'hang on' gestures as the bidding continues.

Stepping up onto the stage Cora trips as Reese already bids for her and blushes, "Oh um wow hi! I oh," She is about to continue when Ford bids as well and just stands there, "I oh well I can start tell everyone what I can do but well most of you know me and um I am just going to stand here and look pretty now."

Reese looks over to Ford and then over to Coraline. She seems conflicted! "35 thousand."

Sir Floppington, the soulful hound arrives, following Rowenova.

"I hear 35,000! I'm sure I don't need to tell you all that Coraline is more than just a pretty face." Thena looks out over the crowd. "Who can top 35,000?"

Ford lifts his hand again, "Thirty-six."

Denica says, "Thirty-six thousand and one"

Victus chimes in, "Forty."

Faruq adds: "Fourty one."

Bashira gives a smile to Luca after a quiet conversation and the woman bows to him and those with him, "Have a good evening, your highness." she tells him with a smile. "I'm going to head home. See where my brother has been this evening." she muses. Then she's turning to leave.

Faruq does some quick math and then: "Sorry. I retract my bid." He nods to Victus, and his fourty thousand.

Thena cuts a look at that Solace knight, he's not leaving. She clears her throat. "We have forty-one...forty thousand!"

Rowenova has joined the Southern Dunes.

Reese is overheard praising Thena: yay best auction runner

"Give Flash my greetings! Also tell him you're going to learn a real weapon, finally!", Luca calls out to Bashira, with a smile on his lips. "You have a good evening too."

Rowenova has left the Southern Dunes.

Sir Floppington, the soulful hound have been dismissed.

"And forty thousand it is! To Prince Victus! I am /so/ sorry, hang on a moment." There's a furiously whispered converation with the knight in the wings, and Thena turns to Coraline. "I have to go. You got this." She presses the list of auction participants into Cora's hands before hustling off in a flurry of aeterna.

Brigida has left the In the Water.

Keski, a nervous disciple of Petrichor have been dismissed.

Aletta, an even more nervous disciple of Petrichor have been dismissed.

1 Templar Knight guards have been dismissed.

Etienne stands, departing the grove of trees along the beaches edge with Monique on an arm, as they came so shall they go. Making various farewells as they make their way back toward Arx.

"Alright folks next up is Carita, also you are all amazing than you." Cora calls out.

Etienne is overheard praising Solace.

Etienne is overheard praising Order of east light.

"Cora gets a note then grins, "We already have a bid of 17, 350 for Lady Carita

Faruq looks up from his conversation at the table to call out: "Twenty Thousand!"

Etienne has left the Beneath Trees.

Monique has left the Beneath Trees.

Dandy, the red fox, Monique leave, following Etienne.

Ford lifts his hand, "Twenty-two thousand."

Faruq shrugs, "Thirty thousand."

Isabetta has left the Beneath Trees.

Ford lifts his head a bit, "Thirty one thousand."

Denica says, "Thirty two thousand"

Ford smirks to himself, "Thirty five thousand."

Faruq listens to some conversation at the table, smiling at Denica when she bids: "I think I have an idea. Fourty thousand."

"Silent bid of 36,500 folks." Cora says after another slop of paper

Carita nearly stumbles at Coraline's news, her smile a bright thing as she makes her way to the chopping block. She spins to walk backwards as she bidding begins, a hand to her chest as she laughs softly. "How incredibly sweet!" is all she can get out before she's splaying her hands out at her sides. She leans to murmur something to Coraline, laughter soft.

"We have a bid for fourty thousand from Faruq, who else might bid on this trasuer of Darkwater?" Cora asks grinning.

Carita has left the Southern Dunes.

Ford lifts his eyebrows a bit, "Forty five thousand."

Sir Floppington, the soulful hound leaves, following Rowenova.

Faruq smiles, "Fifty."

Ford waves his hand, "Fifty one thousand.."

"50,000 now this is what I am talking about, who can raise it above fifty?" Cora calls, "I mean I don't even have to talk her up you all know how amazing she is."

Denica sighs loudly.

Faruq sighs and shakes his head, more counting ensues. He waits until it's almost time where the bid is going to be closed before raising to: "Sixty Thousand."

Ford shakes his head, "Sixty five."

Mia is overheard praising Coraline.

Mia is overheard praising Thena.

Mia has left the Wooden Picnic Table.

3 House Riven Soldiers, 1 Greenwood Tribe Blood Warriors, white-tailed eagle, Lianna leave, following Mia.

Faruq chuckles, "Sixty six."

Ford smiles to himself, "Sixty seven."

Faruq continues the war, "Seventy thousand."

Ford leans back in his chair, looking out across at who's playing this game. "Seventy five thousand."

Faruq reaches for his hat and puts it on, a conversation being carried on at the table between himself, Denica, Victus, and Melody. Or at least he is talking to all three of them at one point or another. "A hundred thousand."

Ronja barely looks capable of affording a good sandwich, much less a six-digit date. Still, she looks entertained.

Ford sighs, pursing his lips slightly, "One hundred thousand, five hundred."

Carita's chin dips, thick lashes shadowing her cheeks as she listens, her hands at her sides carelessly smoothing over her hips -- possibly the only sign of any sort of feeling. On a deep inhale her blue-eyed gaze finally lifts towards the bidders, like a ping-pong match with a quirk of a smile.

"Goodness, now this is more like it! One hundred thousand five hundred silver, do we have any other bids?" Cora calls, as she indicates the lovely lady on the stage.

Faruq rubs at his jaw for a few brief moments and studies Ford. His attention shifts back to Victus: "I thought it would be a good place to start at least. That way the loss would be shared and not impact any particular individual all at once." He then looks at Coraline and smiles, "A hundred and Ten."

Ford bids, "145,000"

Faruq laughs, "A hundred and fifty thousand."

Ford lifts his hand in a 'obviously' kinda way, "Two hundred, seventy thousand, five hundred."

Faruq steeples his fingers before his chin, looking throughtful. Tap tap tap. His fingertips bump against his bottom lip as his attention drifts from Ford to Carita, then back to Ford. He lifts a hand and waves off another bid.

"There we go, two hundred seventy thousand five hundred silver going once, going twice, sold to Marquis Ford! Next up we have the beautiful, the elegant, with a voice to melt the heart and give one couraage is Princess Sorrel." Cora calls

When her name is announced, Sorrel rises up, turns a pirouette, and bows with flourish. Her smile is charming and her eyes twinkle. "Princess Sorrel Thrax, Bladesong, at your service. Good with a sword, good with a song, plenty of fun with both at the same time. A knight of the Order of East Light, an adventurer, and a scholar. You never know, I might even write you a song!"

Turn in line: Carita

Turn in line: Coraline

Turn in line: Sorrel

"Seventy thousand," Ezekiel says, looking towards the Princess for a long moment.

Carita leans to murmur something softly to Sorrel as she passes her on the way back to the dunes from wence she came, a weight clearly lifted from the slender shoulders of the Darkwater noble. She dips her head Ford's way gratefully, her smile warm as she closes the distance to thank her bidders. First, the loser, "Many thanks, Lord Faruq, I imagine that money will help the Order. I'm truly flattered you would go so high, knowing so little about me." She laughs softly. Then, turning on her heels she makes her way towards Ford, who gets the same sort of thanks, more softly spoken, before she returns to her south side (insert gang sign here) dune.

"Seventy thousand is a great opening bid! Surely there is someone else who would like to bid for time with this lovely Princess!" Cora enthusaes! Yeah she isn't as good as Thena.

meaning Cora isn't as good as Thena at auctioneering, tired brain

"Alright folks Seventy thousand going once, going twice, sold!" Cora grins and looks at her list, "Next up is Richard!"

Turn in line: Richard

Faruq smiles at Carita: "Of course Lady Darkwater." He dips his chin towards his chest in a nod: "It would have been coin well spent if I had won, I am certain. I look forwards to that other engagement we spoke of prior to this still my Lady. I hope all the preparations have been made hmm?" His eyes sparkling with mirth.

The Duchy of Sandward has all the best people. Or at least one of those welcoming Carita back into the fold warrants a shining laugh on the air, a lilting harmony spun of golden notes and warmth undercut. "Lady Darkwater, you had me wondering if you were going to beat a high lord's record! That was terrifying and thrilling at all once. Is there nothing a Kennex does by half-measures?" Delilah says. Gang signs, woo!

As before, Ezekiel approaches Coraline and hands over a small sheaf of documents. Ostensibly various drafts and what not.

Cora accepts the writs again with a grateful smile, "Thank you so much again." Looking out to the crowd Cora calls out, "We have an opening bid of 37,000 folks, will anyone top that?"

"The bid starts at 20,000 for an amazing man of the sea, and what a great opening bid! Will anyone raise it?" Cora calls
