Jared, an overworked-looking, nervous Apprentice Whisper arrives, following Bliss.

Alarissa slips quietly and with a small amount of grave reverence for the occasion and the place, making her way past the banners till she can go up the side and come to stand in an alcove, walking quietly with Denica. "I do not know how long I can stay, but I wanted to be here for the Templars." She murmurs quietly to the other woman.

Bliss has joined the Quiet Alcove.

Luca rounds the corner and into the great cathedral with such an air of.. coming to a stop and slowing down, that it's likely he was running here. But that can't be right. He doesn't run anywhere. Nonethless, he all but skids to a halt at the entrance, pausing for a moment to smooth down his clothes and run his hands through his hair, and since this is a place of religious significance and all, he breathes into one cupped hand and smells it. All set. The Lycene prince strolls in, finding a seat and slipping into it.

Brigida has joined the Side Alcove.

Ectorion has joined the Noble Pews.

Lethe quietly makes her way inside and finds a place to sit and watch the ceremony.

Lethe has joined the Noble Pews.

Starra has joined the Side Alcove.

Esoka has joined the Commoner Pews.

Sina makes her way into the Cathedral, and makes her way toward the commoner pews. The Disciple of Vellichor is clothed simply in a white robe of finespun wool, her long dark hair woven into a thick braid that snakes down her back, twined with sime delicate brass chains. Once seated, she folds her hands neatly in her lap and waits for the ceremony to begin.

Ectorion had arrived plenty early, the Valardin Knight having settled in and waited. He'd been silent, seemingly immune to such small talk as might have been directed towards him. No, he was here for a purpose, focused upon the ceremony to happen. The very personally affecting ceremony to happen. He's watching the altar in silence, waiting and remaining silent.

Dressed in his shiny steel formal armor for the occasion, Jeffeth clink clanks down the side of the Cathedral. Breastplate stuck out far as he marches with the dignity and pride that such a ceremony should display, however there are still bags under his eyes, his skin is till pallid, he still looks exhausted or if his body has seen a good amount of neglect, even if he's marching as if such a thing does not exist. However, the somber knight makes his way into a quiet little alcove by himself, to slowly lower his massive heft down.

Esoka enters the cathedral. Pausing to bow her head in reverence, then proceeding to find a seat for herself. She manages to snag one in the Commoner Pews before they get too full, offering Sina a broad smile when she spots the woman. "Hello, Sina. I hope the day finds you well."

Aiden hasn't been seen for a while but hey, that's normal when you get thrust into duties of a Duke after spending years as a frivolous prince. Though he has returned to the social climes in time to make the ceremony for Astraea. Sporting black leathers with red stripes that are military-esque in fashion, the man walks with confidence and a stoic expression. The noble pews is where he shortly attends, eyes flicking ahead to note who was there already, before settling somewhat near Ectorion.

A fellow white haired lycene, Astraea's older brother, Apollis enters the cathedral dressed in midnight black dread panther leather. He runs his hand through his hair, smoothing down any stray strand that dared to escape its place. He brings his hand to his chin as he looks around, spotting some pews and walking toward them.

Apollis has joined the Noble Pews.

At the front of the Cathedral, standing before the high pulpit, there is a gathering of Templars. Several are just in the standard white and gold armour, but one stands in leathers - a sullen youth - and the other wears more ornate armour, red lines separating the white and gold. The figure reaches up and lifts his visor and unfastens his cheek guards, handing first the helmet and then the gauntlets to the sullen youth. Who is helpfully Balian, the squire. The sulky sulky squire. To one side of the cathedral, behind all the armoured bodies, food and drink has been laid out - oathlands ales and wines in marked casks.

With everything ready, the Knight Marshall coughs a little to clear his throat "Most honoured guests, Princes, Princesses, Lords, Ladies, Brothers, Sisters. It is rare that I get to welcome people to the Grand Cathedral - so please let me do so. We are here for a solemn event, for the vows are serious and a family must lose one they love. But also a happy occasion, for as one past is set aside, a new future begins. May I please have Princess Astraea Valardin to the front, and may the representative of House Valardin please make themselves known?"

Brigida walks into the Great Cathedral flanked by two nervous disciples, pausing at the entrance to take in the stained glass and the rest of the cathedral before moving fully into the room. After a brief look around she moves over to to sit down in a side alcove. Her assistants look confused as to whether they should sit with her and she fixed them with with a flat stare that they go running to the commoner seating.

Jordan makes a quiet entrance, considering the pews briefly before settling down at the commoner rows. He offers an upnod to Luca, flashing a quick smile to the Velenosa-born Grayson before his expression fades into solemn nothingness and he looks towards the altar. Sina is offered a smile towards, and a lift of his hand in greeting.

Jordan has joined the Commoner Pews.

Bliss walks into the Cathedral, taking a look around the room and the Templars lining the walkway. Rather than heading inward, when she spots Jeffeth in his state, she simply turns and follows him, the Devotion's seasilk gown swaying around here as she slips next to him in that small alcove.

"I've only met Princess Astraea in passing but I did want to show my support," Denica nods towards her. "I'll stay for the ceremony though." she says, moving to the side alcove with Alarissa, looking around with bright eyes, she seemed to have tucked away a sketch pad under her arm, wanting to capture this moment onto paper.

Sina has her head bowed in a silent prayer for a moment, but then she glances up again. Hearing her name, she turns her silvery eyes to Esoka, and offers the Knight a warm smile and a dip of her head. "Dame Esoka," she greets pleasantly. "It's good to see you. I've been well," she murmurs softly. "I hope you have been as well. She gives a dip of her head to Jordan as well when she sees his greeting. Then she falls silent, attention turning toward Preston as he addresses those gathered and calls Astraea forth.

Etienne glides in, dressed in his customary combination of stunning white and sparkly gold and makes his way down the isles, spying a smaller section to the side he takes a seat as inconspicuously as a shiny golden-haired Archlector can.

3 Thrax Guards, Freja the long suffering, Dame Cupcake, the most elegant arrive, following Coraline.

Slipping in a little late, Cora finds a spot near the back and settles in.

Coraline has joined the Side Alcove.

Seryna, a charming Lycene handmaiden, 6 Grimhall House Guards arrive, following Vanora.

By the Gods, why in the world was Prince Ectorion so tall. What are they feeding these Valardin men. Prince Luca picked the wrong person to sit behind. He shifts to the left a little bit, and when that doesn't work, he slides all the way to the left of his pew, just sort of smoothly shifting along until he can see better. Ah, there we go. His dark eyes wander around, taking everything in. He's quiet, but there's a distinct grin on his lips.

The momentous occasion had a very visible effect on Astraea. Her eyes were a little wide and she looked slightly nervous, anyone who knew her would recognize a bit of shy reservation but none the less she beams with joy as she descends down the loft stair. Why she was there was anyone's guess but she was and down the aisle she walked flashing smiles to familiar faces and new ones alike. She wasn't adorned in anything fancy, no, it was a simple cotton slip dress, matching slippers and a white swordbelt with gold caps at the ends. Her step slowed at the front, upon seeing Ectorion but even then she offers him a deep, affectionate look before turning to Preston and nodding,"I'm here," she says meekly.

Seryna, a charming Lycene handmaiden, 6 Grimhall House Guards leave, following Vanora.

Gwenna, too, arrives just as the ceremony is beginning, the beauty of the Cathedral and those gathered for Princess Astraea, slowing the woman's steps a little so as to take them all in. The Templars, especially, seem to awe the princess a bit. Quickly finding a seat along the benches as Preston speaks, she dips her head in prayer and shuts her eyes a moment. When Astraea descends, the Redrain sits up a little straighter, a mix of pride and warmth on her features as she watches her cousin.

Seryna, a charming Lycene handmaiden, 6 Grimhall House Guards arrive, following Vanora.

Aiden has left the Noble Pews.

Esoka's murmurs a little more in quiet conversation with Sina, though her blue eyes tick up and over to Astraea as the woman enters. Her gaze is long and steady. Perhaps a touch studying. She offers the woman a deep inclination of her head. Then, her attention splits between Preston and the future godsworn.

Ectorion rises after a moment, and heads towards the front as well. He comes up towards Astraea, and the young Knight's face has a look of determined acceptance upon it. He gives Astraea a smile, a moment of relaxed emotion, before his gaze looks towards Preston. "I will stand for Valardin," he says simply.

Lady Vanora Grimhall slips in after the event has started, and takes the first easily accessible seat towards the back she can find, the better to not draw attention to herself and keep it on the preachers.

Vald have been dismissed.

Brannen did this song and dance years ago. And been an observer for other events like this. It's old hat by this point, but that doesn't mean he doesn't show the required amount of respect that it's due. He went through the motions, the polishing of arms and armor, being as presentable as possible as a Knight of Solace. And then arrived in a timely fashion for the whole affair, looking about as serious and as severe as people are accustomed to him being. He stands aside for the moment, maybe not quite sure where to sit exactly.

Aiden has joined the Noble Pews.

Apollis crosses his arms as he watches on from his pew toward the front. When he sees his sister come down to meet Preston he gives Astraea a warm smile and a nod before watching Ectorion walk past him to meet her.

Ectorion has left the Noble Pews.

Preston bows his head, first to Astraea and then to Ectorion, before he continues "Each Godsworn here has said these words, and yet each had their own journey, and each their own meaning for them. I was in the Faith since I was a baby, for me to say the oaths was to give up next to nothing, but to embrace the only life I had known. For Blessed Cassandra it was to give up a Duchy. For others it has meant no longer being a Prince. others giving up a life of crime and the only surety they knew. You will need to decide what this point means on your path, as I call you for the last time Princess Astraea." And Preston smiles warmly at the prospective Godsworn.

PHis voice rising, Preston begins the formal part "Astraea Valardin has petitioned the Faith to join the ranks of the Godsworn. To do so is to remove herself from the bonds of her previous fealty, her responsibilities to her family, and no longer to provide them succor or shelter save as the Faith might provide succor and shelter to any other. Who is here to speak for the Valardin?" The Templar then leans to murmer something in Ectorion's ear - no doubt his part of the formal portion.

Ectorion's voice is quiet but dignified, carrying without being loud as he says, "Prince Ectorion speaks for the Valardin," as, apparently, he is instructed to say.

Jasher gotta be honest, it was a bit of hot air off the top of my head

Nodding at Ectorion's words, Preston asks him a second question “Do you release Astraea from the bonds of family, and the duty to carry on your line? Do you release your kin to the Faith, acknowledging her among these witnesses that her responsibility to the Valardin has ended, and she may take up the yoke of the gods?"

Brannen has joined the Commoner Pews.

Jasher has joined the Noble Pews.

Aiden has left the Noble Pews.

After a messenger sneaks over toward the Rubino Duke, Aiden quietly slips aside and shuffles away from the noble pews. He flickers a look toward Astraea but otherwise has to slip out before the end of the ceremony. Duty calls.

Luca rises up from his pew in the noble seating, mid-ceremony, and starts to pick his way down the row, leaving behind a whispered trail of apologies like, "Sorry.", and "Coming through.", and even a, "Hey, no hands.", until he's made it out into the middle aisle. At which point he slips over into the commoner seating, finding a pew and claiming it. Who can even guess why he felt the need to change his spot, but the impulse control is low with this one.

Luca has joined the Commoner Pews.

There is a slight pause from Ectorion, and a long breath of air. Then, without his voice betraying the pain in his eyes he says in that same quietly determined tone, "In love, I release my beloved wife Astraea from her bonds, and from all responsibility to the Valardin line. May the Faith embrace her as a sister, as an aunt, and as a daughter, as we have."

Jasher slips into the spot that Aiden recently vacated. Otherwise, he sits quietly and watches the ceremony, only glancing Luca's way as the man tracks apologies in his wake.

Brigida keeps her attention on the ceremony, even as she occasionally speaks quietly at the alcove. Every time someone who was sitting stands she turns to give them a very pointed glower. A real knifey glare. That means you, Luca!

Sina watches the ceremony with attentive interest, lips curved into a little smile. She was briefly murmuring quietly with Esoka and Jordan, but now that the ceremony is underway, her eyes are focused on the proceedings, hands folded in her lap. She glances between Preston and Ectorion as the vows of fealty and bonds of family are released, and after a moment, her silvery eyes glance about, finding Alarissa among those gathered. She gives the Thrax princess a little smile should she happen to see, and then she turns her eyes forward once again.

There is a warm smile offered from Ectorion - not one of empathy, for he cannot quite understand that loss, but certainly sympathy. The Templar turns his head to Astraea before gesturing "It is time to kneel, Astraea." he says before he bows his head once more to Ectorion "Thank you, your highness. As she is released, the remaining parts are for Astraea to declare. You may stay, or have a seat if you would rather."

Turning back to Astraea, having given her time to kneel, he recites the first part of the oaths "For those entering the Faith, there are oaths to be taken. For Gild, do you, Astraea, swear to leave behind no wealth in your passing, save to the Faith itself? To support none as a spouse or son might, but only through works of charity? For Limerance, do you freely devote yourself to the gods and put these oaths you take tonight above all others? For the Sentinel do you swear to always seek the truth in the grace of the gods?"

Gwenna sucks in her bottom lip a little as she watches both Astraea and Ectorion, and the latter's words releasing his recent bride to follow her heart with the Faith. Her attention there, she's quiet where she watches from the bench. Again, though, there are those hints of warmth and pride when Preston begins to speak the oaths her cousin will repeat to become Godsworn.

Apollis pulls out a small piece of paper and unfolds it. Seems there's candy in it. He pops it into his mouth and then puts the piece of paper back. He pulls out another piece and offers it to Gwenna with a raised brow.

Glancing to Apollis, Gwenna smiles and dips her head in what might be presumed as thanks, her hand held out to take the offered candy. She speaks softly to him so as not to disturb the ceremony.

Before the Knight-Marshall and conductor of this ceremony had spoken, Astraea's cerulean gaze kept flitting over to the Templars. She grinned and tried not to look overly excited, even going so far as to blush when Preston did begin speaking. As the proceedings proceeded the white haired woman in front of the altar gripped one of the sword pommel's near her hip and as Ectorion spoke she looked into his eyes with a mixture of emotions, trying her best not to look sad. She almost reached out for him but instead nodded and offered a bright, reassuring smile to him. Aiden's look isn't missed and she curtly nods to him, flashing a wink as he departs.

Although now it's time to kneel and so she does, taking a knee gracefully while delicately flipping her hair over her shoulder and out of her way. Even now in some places it was touching the floor as she bowed her head and humbly spoke,"I swear to Gild that I will leave behind no wealth in my passing save to the Faith itself. To support none as a spouse or son might, but only through the works of charity. I swear to Limerance that I will devote myself to the gods and put my godsworn oaths above all others. To the Sentinel, whom knows the depth of my candor and loyalty, I will always seek the truth in the grace of the gods."

Ectorion gives the faintest of nods at Preston's words, but makes no move to depart. He steps slightly to the side out of the way, but remains there still and silent after to bear witness and support to the woman who will take her vows, entirely unmoving.

At the sound of crinkling paper Brigida slowly turns her head toward the noble pews where she fixes Lord Apollis and Princess Gwenna with such a look, eyes narrowed, lips thin and pressed together tight.

There's still a slight dent in Brannen's chestplate. From some strange incident that's only mildly embarrassing. Oddly, it allows him to fold his arms across his chest a bit easier than it normally would. There's not much else to really do currently. Beyond stand witness to the taking of vows. It's something worth doing. Something that should be done.

It's like getting caught by a nun in church. Literally. Gwenna quickly attempts to be as quiet as a mouse at the withering look she and Apollis earn from Brigida.

Apollis leans in closer to Gwenna to exchange a few words, his eyes briefly catching the glower from Brigida. He cuts what he was going to say short and shoots her a small, meek smile, before straightening up and watching on as Astraea continues her vows.

Jasher is having nun of the silent war against noise being played in the meantime and continues watching the ceremony.

"For Gloria, do you swear to act with honor in all your dealings as a priest of the Pantheon? For Jayus, do you vow to always seek the inspiration of the gods and let them color your life? In Vellichor's name, will you preserve the history of the Compact and the Faith, and work tirelessly to unlock the ancient understanding of the gods we once thought lost?" Preston continues, solemny asking the oaths - and of course with Gloria this is the important bit for the Templars gathered, that faint creak of metal as they peer towards the altar.

Although she has taken a pause to catch her breath she is not finished,"To Gloria, I promise to behave as a living inspiration unto her in act and effort. To Jayus, I promise to open my eyes beyond the mundane and see the truth in all things. To Vellichor, I promise my life and spirit in protecting the knowledge of the ages, and returning what once we lost." Astraea's eyes are cast down as she solemnly recites the oaths. Her hands clasped and fingers entwined as if in prayer.

As they reach the penultimate part of the oaths, Preston does his best to offer a little encouraging murmer of 'Good good' to Astraea. Balian, sulky squire, just stands there. Holding armour. Looking dour. Or solemn. One of the two. "As Petrichor grants dominion, do you, Astraea, swear to uphold his ideals and enforce the traditions of Sanctuary to those granted it? To Mangata, do you pledge yourself to the waters, your ministry knowing no boundaries of land? And for Lagoma, do you swear to always be open to change?"

As if exchanging a private joke she looks up at Preston and smiles, nodding in a prideful way. Her smile leaves her face though and she bows her head again,"To Petrichor, I promise to defend the tradition of Sanctuary with unending ferocity. To Mangata, I promise to trust in carrying the ministry abroad no matter the destination. To Lagoma, I promise an open mind and accepting heart." The last oath was spoken softly as she reaches up and touches the pendant around her neck.

Each of Astraea's vows to the gods gets a nod from Brigida, though the nod to Petrichor might just get a liiiiittle but of a firmer nod.

There is a little look of relief as they get close to the end from Preston "As First Choice fought for our ability to choose, do you choose of your own free will and without reservation, to serve the Pantheon now, and to make that choice again, each day, until your time of passing? As the Queen of Endings shelters souls in the realms beyond, do you swear to shelter souls in the lands of the Compact, from their birth until their death? And in the name of the Dreamer, do you swear to serve the creations of Aion, and preserve the Dream Eternal?"

Taking another deep breath before proceeding,"To the First Choice, I promise my defense of every soul's freedom to choose their path. To the Queen of Endings and Beginnings, I promise to protect the souls of every one of her children until they return to her care. To Aion, I promie to preserve the Dream in the face of any that would bring her creations harm." At the last bit she stumbled, speaking the name of the Dreamer clearly giving her an almost imperceptable amount of pause.

And finally Preston asks his final question "The last oath is the most difficult - but it is no less important than the 12 before it. Tehom, the Reflection, requires of you a vow to channel your passions and not allow yourself to be ruled by them. Do you swear this as well?"

Even though she didn't need to, the alabaster skinned woman with rouged cheeks nods affirmatively to his final question. "In determination, I swear this will be true."

Apollis gives a small clap to his favorite god, the last one.

Preston gives Astraea a gentle pat on her shoulder after the final oath "This night the Faith welcomes Sister Astraea as one of the Godsworn. I bid you rise, Astraea. Into your new life, and the world of the Templars. Even as we are dedicated to Gloria's cause, we love and honour all the Gods and there is nothing more serious or solemn in your life than the oaths you have just taken. No oath, no promise, nothing can come before them or conflict with them. For your life is only in part your own, your obedience is to the Gods." Preston then turns his head to look out at the assembled "Please, join me in welcoming Sister Astraea Godsworn, and join us for drinks and refreshments and gather for as long as you wish."

Preston is overheard praising Astraea: The newest Godsworn.

Brigida is overheard praising Astraea.

Vanora is overheard praising Astraea.

Brigida is overheard praising Preston.

Etienne is overheard praising Astraea.

Bliss is overheard praising Astraea.

Brannen is overheard praising Astraea: Good luck. You're going to need it.

Lethe is overheard praising Astraea.

Gwenna is overheard praising Astraea: A brave, wonderful, dedicated, and amazing woman.

Sina listens quietly through the entire ceremony, watching with interested eyes. When the last of the oaths is given, and Preston bids Astraea to rise as the newest Godsworn, Sina joins in with the rest of those assembled in giving her heartfelt applause for the new Templar.

She was prepared for this. Of course she was! Yet still when it was all said and done, she cried tears of joy and relief. Rising when called to do so and offering a separate bow of respect and admiration for Preston,"Thank you. Thank you for doing administering my vows Knight-Marshall. Brother." Astraea turns to face everyone present and laughs while blowing kisses. "I promise to serve the Gods well and am grateful you would all be here to see my vows administered. Thank you all."

Denica is overheard praising Astraea.

Apollis is overheard praising Astraea: You will always have my support, even if you have new brothers.

With the task accomplished, Ectorion will step back so as not to interfere with the press of people and well wishers, or the moment in which Astraea is on display as newly inducted to the Faith. It's an easy thing to step a few more paces back, and then he will withdraw into the crowd of those who move forward to offer congratulations, slipping to and out the rear of the Cathedral.

Luca rises up off his seat and steps onto it, so he can be just a little bit taller than he otherwise might be when he starts clapping for Astraea. It's not a polite applause, either. "Go Astraea! We believe in you!", and he claps even harder after that, before stepping back down again. Now that he's gotten that off his chest. Holding all that in must have been a lot for the troublesome Lycene.

Jasher offers a restrained round of applause. A smile lights his face, reflected in his eyes as he watches the rise of the newest Godsworn. But both the applause and expression are brief, and soon he moves to rise and make his way out of the cathedral.

Gwenna is overheard praising Preston.

Vanora lowers her head back towards her lap, avoiding a fiery glare or two.

Thoug Esoka's expression has remained more set and thoughtful than anything else, throughout, she rises and joins in the appaluse without hesitation. Clapping her callused swordswoman's hands together firm and loud.

Jasher has left the Noble Pews.

3 Thrax Guards leaves, following Jasher.

Luca is overheard praising Astraea: Work those vows. Get it.

Applauding her friend for the taking of these vows, Cora smiles a smile of pride for Astraea.

The large Knight of Solace rises to his feet, pressing his fist to his heart in salute to Astraea a newly added sister in the faith. The large knight bows his head to her before his fist drops and he clasps his hands behind his back. Jeffeth glances over to the crowd and looks like he may be ready to leave. Though there is a small smile cast over to Brannen, Jeffeth pressing his fist to his heart as well in greeting to his Brother-in-Arms.

Lethe has left the Noble Pews.

Brannen rises up to his feet. The ceremony is done, new Templar introduced. Not much more to be done. And the most severe Knight of Solace's expression hasn't really changed all that much. Maybe a touch more impressed? Or at least nostalgic? Hard to say, maybe it just another 'thing' to him. Jeffeth is given a nod, taking note of the other man's passing, but looks ready to leave.

Bliss steps forward as well, clapping her own hands together a few times with a warm smile for Astraea, the Softest Whisper letting her hands fall in front of her after before she turns her head and says something quietly to Jeffeth, cocking her brow into the air.

Offering his arm to Bliss, Jeffeth gives Brannen another nod before he starts to make his way out of the Cathedral.

Jeffeth has left the Quiet Alcove.

Bliss has left the Quiet Alcove.

Jared, an overworked-looking, nervous Apprentice Whisper leaves, following Bliss.

Bliss leaves, following Jeffeth.

Sina rises from her seat after a brief mumur of farewell to Jordan and Esoka. Then she's making her way quietly out of the cathedral, pausing at the door where a messenger is waiting for her. She reads the message real quick, then nods and makes her way out to return to her duties.

Brannen has left the Commoner Pews.

Sina has left the Commoner Pews.

Esoka has left the Commoner Pews.

Sir Ober, Apollis, Preston and Denica are all given hugs and Apollis even gets a kiss on the cheek. Luca is given a special smile, Coraline is headed over to and embraced, following suit with another smile and a thank you for Bliss. Jeffeth is given a respectful bow, Gwenni is given hugs. Starra is saluted, Sina is given a small aside and a thank you as well. Esoka is given a fist bump and hug, Etienne a reverent bow alongside Brigida, Vanora and Brannen.

Gwenna has left the Noble Pews.

Sina gives Astraea a thumbs up and a big smile on the way out, her silvery eyes sparkling with mirth. Then she's gone!

Jordan hugs Astraea back, flashing her a smile. There's a whisper as he rises from the bench, and a pat to the Godsworn knight's shoulder.

With a warm smile and a laugh Cora returns Astraea's embrace and she whispers something quitely before the woman is away to greet others.

Esoka returns the hug to Astraea, offering a low, "Do well by your vows, Sister, and well by the Templars." With that, she prepares to go, though not before offering Preston a knight's salute for the fine ceremony.

Denica squeezes Astraea happily, murmering a soft congratulations to the freshly sworn godsworn with a big smile just for her.

Preston gives a bow of his head to Esoka, even as he looks a little awkward at the previous hug he received "Take care, Dame Esoka. And have the disciples ready for those patrols, hrm? Next lot should be going out in the morning."

Brigida has left the Side Alcove.

Apollis returns the hug and kiss and whispers something in Astraea's ear before peeling away from her to let her hug others.

Gwenna makes her way to the line of those wishing Astraes well and congratulaions, the princess intent on doing the same. "The Ceremony was inspiring, cousin, and you look every bit the shining knight. I'm so very proud of you and happy, too. If you ever need anything or for me to help in any way, please never hesitate. We will always be family."

Luca wanders right up near the front of the cathedral, since his business is getting into everyone's business, and he tells Preston, "Those were some pretty kick-ass vows you lead.", with a smooth grin. Then he turns that dark gaze of his over to Astraea, "And look at you, all Godsworn up now. I thought you'd look different or something. You're not even glowing. Except the usual glow and all."

Brigida pushes herself to her feet and pauses for a moment, letting her body adjust to the new position. Then she steps out into the aisle, gives Astraea a, oh, huh, is that a genuine smile? It is! For about three seconds. Then she turns and starts toward the exit, glaring daggers at anyone who might assume she's suddenly decided to be friendly. As she passes her disciples rush over to follow.

Alarissa is not long on Brigidaxs heels but doesnxt seem to be following the woman.

Alarissa has left the Side Alcove.

Maxene, Pellinor, 4 Thrax Guards, Honey Snuggle, a Velenosian Angora cat leave, following Alarissa.

"Thank you Gwenni for coming and thinking so well of me always. You should know that, like everyone now, you can rely on my aid in the ways that I can. Always and forever I will love and adore you." Luca is given a smirk and a roll of the eyes,"Well the glow is supposed to kick in at the same time as my super strength. So I hear." She chuckles then and playfully nudges him before looking at Bridiga's rare smile. Just for her! She waved of course to her and Rissa on the way out.

Keski, a nervous disciple of Petrichor, Aletta, an even more nervous disciple of Petrichor leave, following Brigida.

Esoka nods short to Preston, her eyes shining with the promise of such work. "It shall be done. I look forward to it." With that, a few more farewells are said. And off she goes.

"I'm glad 'Kick-ass' is very much what we were going for." Preston answers Luca, giving the prince a small bow of his head "We'll have to find Sister Astraea a knight to squire her so she is prepared for when we next must march."

Apollis has left the Noble Pews.

Gwenna blows a little kiss at Astraea and then dips her head respectfully. "I love and adore you, too, always and forever. I have to return to the villa, but would not have missed this for the world." She smiles wide and then moves out of the way so others might offer their well-wishes. "Sir Preston, I was quite inspired by the Ceremony. Thank you for all you did, and have done as well."

Luca looks at Preston, then gives Astraea a skeptical look, before he answers, "That's true. Someone should teach her how to use that sword so it's more than just a nice ornament. I'm sure there's a knight around somewhere that would be up to the task.", and after that he gives the newly-minted Godsworn woman the most terrible smile, before he looks back to Preston, "I read your whites from time to time. Quite thoughtful, many of them."

"Oh Sir Preston, I would be embarrassed but humbled to be a squire again. I'm very very intimately familiar with the ins and outs of being a knight, including swordplay. However if you'd like to test my skill and determine it's readiness I would be all for doing so." Astraea says with a grin on her lips, squinting at Luca with a suspicious sort of glance. "Prince Luca does speak true, your whites reflect well on the Faith. It's an inspiration to see in the face of those who don't create such a good example."

"I think many would choose other descriptive words than Thoughtful, Prince Luca. But. The view of the Orthodoxy is an important one to hear here in Arx, removed as we are from the heart of it. We have a comfortable life here in the city, even with the deaths and invasions, compared to some of the frontiers." Preston answers, offering another small appreciative bow of his head to Luca before giving Gwenna a smile "Thank you, your highness, and congratulations on your upcoming marriage. I am sorry that Sir Leif could not be here, he would have liked to see some of his family I think." Astraea's comments get a little smile from the Knight Marshall "I'll speak with Prince Ainsley then, get him to test you, sister."

"You know," Denica says, looking to Astraea a moment. "There was a time when I thought that I might swear myself to the gods. It didn't come to pass, and it's certainly not where I see my future any longer," she smiles. "This is a good look for you. While I cannot speak for the rest of Thrax, you certainly have my support. I see you doing great things in the future, i wish you the best of luck.

"You will do great deeds." Jordan states to Astraea, matter-of-factly. "You're a fine knight, and the Templars ought to be grateful for your vows. You're an outstandingly brave warrior and I look forward to hearing of your heroics, Astraea." He grins at her. Walking towards her, he leans in to offer a murmur, then pat her on the shoulder.

"Thank you in turn, Sir Preston," Gwenna replies and dips her head politely. "I had hoped to cross paths with Sir Leif. I sent word to him not that long ago just to see if he was well and happy. I suspect his dedication to duty and faith keep him quite busy. If it might not be a trouble, please give him my regards when you next might see him. Now, my apologies for rushing off, but the numbers wait restlessly for me, as always."

2 Crimson Blades Private leaves, following Gwenna.

Preston's smile and subsequent suggestion to have Ainsley test her elicits a slow nod and an even bigger smile. "Sure. Prince Ainsley is a gifted combatant and I'd be honored to have him assess my aptitude. Anytime, I'm pretty available these days. Princessing was a full time job. So many naps, so many tea parties," she says with a sardonic chuckle. "Take care Gwenni! Give Agatha hugs and kisses from me hm. Good luck on your upcoming marriage!" Denica is given a surprised expression,"D'aw. Thank you. I will do my best to meet your expectations, your highness. We should sit down and discuss these days where you believed you might serve the Gods. I'm always intrigued to know more of the faithful." Jordan's praise catches her by surprise and she blushes, giving him a humble nod. "Thanks Sir Ober. You're not so bad yourself."

"Prince Ainsley. Can he even test a squire anymore? I think he just does paperwork now. Whenever I see him, he's just wandering around with this haunted look on his face and the demeanor of a man who has just had the life sucked out of him, muttering about missives in a dreadful tone.", Luca suggests to Preston, but the sentiment comes with another quick grin. Maybe the man's just being a mischief-maker again.

"Oh I'll be taking you out for a drink," Denica promises Astraea with a wink. "You spent enough time in the north, so I trust you can hold your liquor?" she wonders with a chuckle, making a slow stride away. "This has been wonderful, and don't you be a stranger! You can often find me in the house of solace." she waves once more over her shoulder as she makes her way out.

"Prince Ainsley was Gloria's Paladin, Prince Luca. I am sure whatever life presents him with, he will have the spark within. The Gods have a use for each of us, but even if the job of the Paladins was done, that touch of the divine leaves a mark. He has kept his foot in the game, so to speak, with us." Preston answers, quite sincerely - he really isn't much fun for mischief. "And well. It looks bad if I go around getting beaten by new Templars."

Etienne makes quiet farewell to his seated companions, friendly smiles to all remaining, slipping away softly and making the long trek through the hall and out the door.

Etienne has left the Side Alcove.

Dandy, the red fox leaves, following Etienne.

"She might be a new Templar, but she is a seasoned knight. If you do get beaten by her, good Sir, there is no shame in it." Jordan reassures Preston, with a grin. "And besides, I've fought her and we came head to head, until I got a backstroke in and she had to yield. She helped me train for the Tournament of Swords, which honors Gloria, and I won it, so I think all in all? Not bad an endeavor, not bad at all." Looking over to Luca, then, after an exchange of murmurs to Astraea, he asks the Prince, "So, since you told me about your hobby, and I mentioned I might have something for you. Something /else/ came up, and it'll most certainly be dangerous. Sort of a do or die kind of thing. Are you in?"

"Gloria's Paladin? Are you sure? THE Gloria?", Luca asks, just a touch incredulous about that news. A little too incredulous. He almost can't help the smirk that comes to lay across the length of his full lips and stretch them thin for a moment. "Well, if Laric has webbed toes, I suppose anything is possible.", he goes on to say, not easing up even a little on the mischief. He winks at Preston, before turning to look at Jordan, "Do or die? You know I hate doing, but I hate dying more, as it turns out. I suppose given the two options, I could be down for a little doing. Can we lean toward the do and give the die part some shady looks? Dangerous is my favorite word. I feel like I want to be in, but I should know a little more, Sir Ober."

Denica has left the Side Alcove.

Having remained quiet to listen Cora grins, "Ah yes Astraea is an incredible knight, and an inspirational warrior. I have no doubt many will fall to her blade." She rolls her eyes at Jordon, "I need to ply you with drinks or something to hear about all the fun trips it seems."

"I must admit, I have never seen Prince Laric's toes. I will have to ask him." Preston muses before the others chime in on Astraea's skill and he hrms "Have you said your oaths before Gloria and Limerance, Astraea? Or are you yet to be knighted formally? I guess if what everyone says is true, we will likely knight you in short order. We will need to ensure your theological training is taken care of too - it is worth finding the Archlectors and asking them about the Gods. You will find them most enlightening. And from the inside, you may find answers change a little."

"You guuuuys. Staaahp." She says with a bit of a blush on her cheeks,"Funny enough, I've crossed blades with Prince Ainsley before and it was an interesting bout. He's really talented with a blade, I'll say that much." Astraea chewed her bottom lip,"Sir Preston will this mean I must withdraw from Prowess as an adjunct instructor there? My new students have been doing quite well with my absence but it is a passion of mine. Grandmaster Thena serves as a liason so I think it's okay but I always ask first. Just to be sure. Lest the whites erupt with the fire and fury of overly perceptive folk." At his question about being knighted the princess chewed the inside of her cheek,"I've tutored with Blessed Cassandra and the Dominus in the ways of theological matters. I've had dealings with the Archscholar and some of the other Archlectors as well, all good I assure you. As for being knighted formally, well. I've been meaning to talk to you about that, if you have the time. It's /highly/ important."

"I'll let you know over the next fortnight. We'll have to meet someone else on the way." Jordan explains ot Luca, slapping the man on the shoulder before grinning to Astraea, as well. "I'm going to check with the Faith if I can pull you in for that one too, Astraea. I don't know how it, uh, all works." As for Coraline's words, he laughs. "Hey, nobody told me about a fun trip to the sea, either. Sina told me a bit about it, but after the fact. I'm not the only one who has fun here." He winks to the Thrax princess. "Except my fun seems to be roadside a bit more than sea side."

"Well, you can often find me in the chapter house, Astraea. And it is as much yours as mine now - it is where the Templars of Arx meet and discuss matters, as equals." Preston explains to Astraea, but he nods approvingly at her list of tutors "The Blessed Cassandra is a good person to learn from - especially with her background and yours. And I don't know why you would need to give up the Prowess. It is an endeavour supported by the Templars. If Edain has no issue, I have no issue. I cannot speak for the Grandmaster or Blessed Cassandra, so I will check with them but I do not see why it would be an issue for us."

"Well, you let me know when you know, Sir Ober. If I'm not doing something, I'll come right along. I could stand to get up to a little danger. That's why I nap so much, to save myself for things like that.", Luca says, and then he cuts his dark gaze over to Preston. "It's 1009 AR, Preston. Everyone's seen Laric's webbed toes by now. You should ask him. I found out from Tikva, and I'll be darned if it isn't true.", he assures. Then he looks to Astraea, "I have to go take care of some things. Are you going somewhere from here? Perhaps I can meet up with you in just a bit..".

"Very well Sir Preston. Soon we will speak and I look forward to that moment with excitement. Until then be you well and thank you again for such an amazing, well done ceremony. I'm proud to be a Templar." Astraea grinned at something Coraline said to her quietly before nodding,"Most assuredly. Soon." To Jordan she gives him a curt nod,"You know I enjoy partaking in the hobby and I'll be there if I can. Thank you for thinking of me." Finally she turns to Luca,"Let me walk you out."
