Jessamine, the innocuous shop girl arrives, following Alarie.

Cheryl the Assistant Innkeeper, Scourge, a sweater wearing rat-dog leave, following Mae.

Someone has the baby, and Alarie? Alarie's out of her shop and headed into the crow for a drink, and some darts.

This is not a very special event. There are not big flyers, there are not fancy drinks. It is beer, though. Lots of it, and people are getting it for free. That tends to draw a crowd. The flyers and instructions for folding papers into hats are spread through the tavern, people being required to fold a hat and wear it to get their free beer. Always a catch!

Ectorion is here! He slips in quietly, his armor gleaming in a way that probably stands out like a sore thumb. But then, he's a King's Own, it's not like most people are going to choose to mess with such a person. As he enters he hooks his helm upon his belt and looks around, curious, heading on inward to see what all the hubbub is about.

Sparte is settled at one end of the bar with a stack of papers and an empty pouch. Yes, empty. He paid for the beer in advance, since he figured people were less likely to try robbing the Murder than him. He is just having water all the same, and has left his Iron Guard insignia elsewhere. No reason to make the locals uneasy.

Well, that's lucky. Free alcohol. Not that Alarissa will complain much and as she makes her way to the bar, to park beside Sparte because there's a free seat, she's jutting her chin for the free round and picking up the paper there, eyes ticking over it. "Paper boat.... hat?"

Ectorion drifts in and spots Sparte, nodding cheerfully. "Master Sparte, wasn't it?" he says as he approaches, extending a hand to the man. "Sir Ectorion Valardin, we had met briefly I think?" He looks around, "So, what's this about paper boats and hats?" he asks, sounding confused.

Sparte nods a bit with a ready grin. "Just raising some awareness for the paper fleet. Getting people talking about it. Paper hat, paper boat, basically the same thing at the end of the day." He offers over a piece of paper. "Put one on, drink is on me. Easy as bacon."

a nondescript assistant arrives, following Acacia.

(Scene set for new arrivals)

"Free booze, if I follow the directions and put on a hat. After folding it." Alarie looks at that paper. "Fuck. So tired of making things." She grimaces but then, there she is. Starting to fold it, not bothering to write on the hat in the least.

Ectorion looks to Sparte, "I will confess that I don't entirely understand the purpose of the paper boats," he says. "But, it seems the goal is to inspire hope and spread awareness, so, I thought I would stop by and be supportive even if I don't exactly.. Get it.." he grins, "I'm not the creative type I will admit."

Sparte nods to Ectorion. "Quite alright, quite alright. It doesn't have to have a purpose if people feel it serves a purpose." He grins at Alarie as she works with folding the hat. "You don't have to do a good job if you don't mind wearing a bad one."

Where there is free booze northern folk aren't likely to be too far away. Sure enough Astraea makes her way inside, the chattering little stoatlet in stow. Generally she gives warm smiles to the passerby, uncaring of their justifiable side eye. Once she was had gathered Sparta into her arms she walks over to the gathering,"Oi? This the place with the free drinks and fancy paper hats?" Says the woman as she winks at the trio.

"Eh, if i"m going to make it, I'm going to make it right." But she's also moving away from the counter, a jut of her chin in a hello to ectorion as she wanders off with that hat on her head, that free beer and it seems, to indeed play some darts.

Jessamine, the innocuous shop girl leaves, following Alarie.

Ectorion looks up at the voice, grinning as he spots Astraea, "Oh dear. Bad news Sparte, you're about to be out of food in this place," he warns teasingly once Astraea is close enough to hear him. He nods then as he considers the words from Sparte, "I see.." He smiles to Astraea, "I fear I won't be able to stay too long, I've got duty soon."

The doorway flies open and in a booming, joyful voice in comes Caspian, singing a Thraxian sailor's song of sailing, drinking, and making love to young, buxom barmaids, and running away from the morning when they talk of marriage! Not only that, he reaches into his coin purse and produces four silver coins, which he begins to juggle as he makes his way to the bar.

Sparte stays near the end of the bar, sipping water and watching people come and go with hats. He has extra paper near him, along with a few flyers advertising the Paper Fleet thing. Nothing for advertising quite like free beer.

"I ate before I came thank you and I most certainly would not eat on Sparte's dime. That's just silly when he has an open tab." Astraea grins as she raises a toast to the Thraxian warrior. "Thanks for the open invite, it's good to see you again. I feel like it's been forever." Says the white haired princess as she slips down into a seat next to Ectorion. "I know you have duty, you told me earlier this morning. When you go I shall come with you. It's almost time for me to tend to the shrines." Caspian's arrival elicits a cheery smile for the man and a wayward salute. "Champion! Welcome." Watching Sparte sip away quietly, Raea leans in to ask him a quiet question.

Sparte blinks at Astraea. "What? Sorry, I was distracted by the coin juggling." He grins at her. "Please, grab some paper. Fold a hat, have a free beer when you wear it. Oh, er... Were you asking me about something else?" He lifts an eyebrow uncertainly.

Caspian approaches the bar as he continues to sing and juggle, but then catches the coins as he takes the hat that is near Sparte and wears it, then hops up onto the bar, standing on it as he points to Astraea, singing to her the final lines of being married to the sea, then gives a bow afterwards, a deep, sweeping one like that of a stage performer.

Ectorion looks up at Caspian, smiling. "Hello again," he says cheerfully, "interesting trick there, I've never been able to juggle, think it's the same reason I'm awful with a bow," he admits, before shrugging. His attention is back on Astraea and he slides an arm around her, grinning, "I'd love the company as I head in, of course, besides I'd be no Knight at all if I left such a beautiful lady unescorted," he says, "even if she's able to kick my rear all over the practice sands."

Astraea is in hysterics at Caspian's antics, she chortles into her glass of rum until it's all gone. Feeling Ectorion's arm around her waist earns a bit of a blush as she presses against his side and plants a kiss on his lips. "You were begging for it if I recall correctly. No one has ever picked me up like that, especially in public." She swats his hand playfully before turning to Sparte and responding to his question. "No, I was just checking in on you and making sure you weren't awkwardly drunk."

Once Caspian rises up he smiles to the group, announcing, "Thank you, thank you! This performance has bee a Rite to Jayus, the god of stories. He is a god who wishes us to create and to entertain, much like I entertained you tonight. I ask that you honor him and support those who are in the business of creating and performing works of art."

Sparte lifts his glass to Astraea with a grin. She doesn't need to be told he just has water. He gives a little eyeroll to Caspian's antics, but is still grinning. Attention is shifted to the bartender, Sparte saying something to them before rising from his seat. "I wish I could linger to watch the whole of this, but I've work to do as well. Enjoy the drinks while they last, the bartender is doing the math!" He waves, heading off towards the door.
