The Paper Fleet

Sparte Fatchforth is going around town raising support for a single gesture focused on allowing the all of Arx, no matter their origin or circumstance, to send their prayers to Mangata in a unique ritual with approval of the Faith. The method of worship is almost childlike in the simplicity, yet he has spared no expense in this. The below description is being left around Arx on flyers along with little folded paper boats.

The Paper Fleet

All know that we face a grave threat at sea. I am calling not to the soldiers, not to the sailors, but to those who we leave behind as we go to fight for you once more. To raise a fleet of prayers in support of our goddess, our soldiers, our sailors, your futures.

Next Saturday there will be stations setup throughout Arx where you may give your prayers, either by your own hand or with the assistance of a volunteer. Those written prayers will be folded into boats like the one you see here. Simple, fragile, small things. Weighed down by the smallest of tokens you choose to give, or simple river pebbles.

After they are collected and folded, they will be carted out to the river of Arx. Cart by cart, one by one, with gentle hands, we will send them on a voyage out to sea. A fleet of our prayers and our hopes, a token of our faith in the Goddess.

All ages are invited to participate, from all walks in life. Those who participate will be graced with a small token of Mangata crafted from old sailcloth that may fit in their pocket, so long as we have more to give.
